Gripping, page turner - loved the twist

This is a gripping and twisty novel, the type that keeps you up late into the night! A solid storyline, suspenseful and thrilling. I really enjoyed it.

The Night Before is clever and suspenseful. I was hooked from the beginning and you’ll be unable to put it down until you know how it ends! There’s quite a few twists and reveals but only a few managed to shock me, this doesn’t take away from the plot at all, the complexity of this book was fantastic and I highly recommend you check out The Night Before!

Loved this book, gripping and with great characters. Expected but exciting twist at the end. Would recommend this book and read all of Wendy Walkers books.

Intense, compulsive, gripping and highly entertaining. It took me a while to get into the swing of it but when I did I was very impressed. Told from the pov of 2 sisters and the trauma one of them had suffered at a very young age. Cue present day and the after effects of the trauma on Laura, one of the sisters. Kept me gripped and turning the pages but I have to say the ending did NOT come as a surprise as I'd pretty much figured it out much earlier. But still a highly enjoyable read.

The main character, Laura, returns to her home town, after yet another relationship goes bad. She’s a troubled soul, full of self doubt and quite fragile, never believing she’s good enough for any man, or even herself. Her sister, Rosie, is there to try to help her pick up the pieces. When Laura goes missing after a night out, Rosie almost falls apart, but is she worried just for Laura or the man she was with.
After a slightly tortuous start, it’s a good psychological thriller. It kept my attention well, although at times I became frustrated with Laura’s self doubt., A nice twist at the end, although not totally unexpected.

Excellent book with a clear cut depiction of characters. The storyline is fluid and constant, and my concentration never waived. Highly recommended.

** spoiler alert ** Definitely an easy read in one sitting book.
Laura, our main character is described as angry and possibly violent from an early age,but she doesn't come across like that as she runs home after a bad break up.
In fact the whole idea that is central to the plot, that she MAY have killed her first boyfriend, and so now MIGHT be harming others is a bit mad.
Aside from that,it's an entertaining read, with great detective skills from her worried sister, and an outcome that wasn't all that surprising.

It's what I'd want to be reading on a beach. Fast paced but not too taxing.

One word to describe this book, gripping! I read it in a day as I just couldn’t put it down. The chapters go between both sisters, Laura and Rosie. Laura disappears after going in a date with a guy she met online. However, due to Laura’s past and a traumatic event in their childhood they are initially hesitant to call the police. Rosie decides to try find Laura herself. It is full of twists, which I love. I can’t recommend it enough. This book is due to be released on October 3rd, go buy it!
