A wonderfully charming light hearted read. The Accidental Life Swap features a lovable heroine, a mistaken identity, a hot romance and ultimately a HEA. Althought the storyline was a bit predictable I still thoroughly enjoyed the book.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

The Accidental Life Swap by Jennifer Joyce is an absolute delight! From the start, we know Rebecca Riley is no pushover. But when the opportunity arises to live a life she could only ever dream of, she dives right in. With the setting of Vanessa's countryside home and the renovation works providing plenty of obstacles for Rebecca, there's always something new and exciting on the horizon.

The book offers great insight into the beauty of seizing the day, and that every decision - even one as small as swapping lives with your boss - can change your life. It also offers a heartwarming story about friendship, kindness and self-discovery, showing us that no matter who you are, you can always start afresh and build the life of your dreams. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a feel-good escape!

I'm embarrassed to say that this is one of the oldest books on my Netgalley shelf. I don't know why I waited so long to read it because it was so darn cute. It literally left me with a huge smile on my face at the end. I loved the little romance story line too - I always like a happy ever after! ⁣⁣

Rebecca has always been a people pleaser. When her boss Vanessa asks her to oversee the renovation of her house, Rebecca knows that in order to get it done in time, she will need to come out of her shell. What better way to get the job done than to pretend to be bossy Vanessa herself. But then the lie gets extended and Rebecca doesn't know how to get herself out of it.

This was an enjoyable, cute and quick read and exactly what you expect from a romantic comedy. Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book was just an okay read. Although there were a few twists in it the story overall was quite predictable and did not keep me interested.

I decided to give this a go because I do enjoy the "life-swap" trope. Predictable plot with simplistic prose, but I would reccommend this book for someone looking for a fun, light read.

Although this story was somewhat predictable, it kept me entertained. Rebecca's transformation from have low self-confidence to coming into her own, even as she pretends to be her boss makes for great reading. Also loved the inclusion of the lovely animal sanctuary next door and the animal characters there!
A lovely heartwarming read that I really enjoyed.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.

The Accidental Life Swap is a fun book about what it takes to find your voice. Rebecca is a bit of a pushover, so when she's mistaken for her boss Vanessa, it's fun to see her journey of self-discovery. This is my first read by Joyce, but it won't be my last.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

This book was so fun! This was the first book I've read from this author and I really enjoyed it. The story was different from anything I've read recently and really captured my attention. It was so well written and the characters were fantastic.

Very enjoyable story about discovering what you are truly capable of, even if it takes partially impersonating your boss to do so.

For Rebecca Riley has a massive confidence problem, she dreams big, but ultimately seems to be lacking a backbone to stand up to anyone. Hence why her boss Vanessa forces her to suddenly become the project manager for her new property in Little Heaton.

Rebecca is normally Vanessa's PA at an events management company and dreams of stepping up to be an event manager, but first she needs to make sure the renovations are done in time for the house warming party, and standing up to a group of builder.

Due to a slight misunderstanding on first meeting the builders they believe she is Vanessa, and suddenly Rebecca is channelling her inner Vanessa.

What I really enjoyed the most about this book, is the animal sanctuary that is next door to Vanessa's property. There are some really adorable animals in it, and Stacey and Oliver who run it are key people that I loved getting to know. Any scenes involving the sanctuary are just a joy to read.

My other favourite bits are the series of board games the Rebecca and Oliver play, being a board game fan myself. I would have loved to have joined in with them, as I'm as competitive as them both!!

On the whole this is a lot of fun, and the main hook of how long can Rebecca keep up the pretence and what will happen if the truth comes out, is very enjoyable and kept me reading on and on.

A really entertaining novel from the always pleasing to read Jennifer Joyce.

Thank you to HQ Digital and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.,

As part of a ‘spring cleaning’ phase I decided to make an effort to read some of the ARCs that I’m permanently behind on from NetGalley. I think trying to get into a story during the time of Coronavirus is perhaps not the best time for me in terms of having an open mind for reviews. I enjoyed the storyline in this book but it wasn’t immediately sucked into the story. The story was much more Chick Lit versus romance (not a bad thing, just an observation) It reminded me of a vintage Shopaholic book meets the movie the Holiday. A good fluffy easy read. If you’re looking for something light and quick, very PG, without any 🔥🔥 this would be a great book to pickup.
