Overall entertaining, but perhaps better suited to a novella. It did feel a bit drawn out. Despite this, there was excellent worldbuilding.

She dances to forget the past pain, he plays the field and lives vicariously. Old wounds can be healed or maybe it's the phoenix tears. Abeni and Eren have to figure out a way to heal old and new wounds, forgive each other and escape sudden death. Is there love enough to sustain all of the lives depending on them or will the blood magic and their ancestors help them?

Phoenix Burned by K. De Long, well written. First I do need to say that you need to heed the warning on the front. This book is graphic from the getgo, That being said it was well written and engaging.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it had what I wanted in a sci-fi novel and a romance novel. The characters were great and I liked the storyline.
