I like this series. I was curious how Emily's story was going to play out. A vegetarian wanting to run her family's cattle ranch sounded off. Donovan's hunting lodge is too much though. I thought she was going to blow a gasket.
I can't wait to read Janice's book.

The Cowboy's Hunt is the second book in Jamie K. Schmidt’s Three Sister's Ranch and is a wonderful addition to the series. Ms Schmidt has written a heartfelt story of conflict, idealism and passion that will keep readers intrigued and longing for more in the series. With sincere character development and an interesting plot, the story flows easily, has a touch of suspense, a whole lot of angst and a fiery romance. I look forward to the next exciting book third in this series.

Excellent read, this book is definitely about the attraction of opposites. Book two in “The Three Sisters Ranch series”. The sisters are working hard to save the ranch, who would of thought that Emily an activist against hunting would fall in “lust/love” with Donovan (the hunt guide).

Talk about opposites attract! Emily Sullivan is a Peace Corp volunteer, a vegetarian and an animal rights activist and Linc Donovan leases land from the Sullivans to operate a hunting business. His guests hunt elk and wild hogs and other animals on the ranch. Emily can appreciate that the wild hogs present a real danger. Linc rescues Emily in a variety of ways but also supports her - he doesn't treat her as helpless though she is somewhat naive about business. Linc is also chasing his own demons. A ghostly white elk serves as bonding mechanism and good omen to them, showing that they have more in common than they think. Even when Linc tries to spare Emily and her family from his troubles, he cannot bear to go far and they are drawn back together with a plan that is good for both of them, personally and professionally.

How to reconcile opposing views is the theme of The Cowboy’s Hunt. Donovan has a hunting lodge on the ranch where Emily lives. She is opposed to hunting and would prefer Donovan gone. But, his lodge is helping to support the in trouble ranch and he is working to combat their wild hog problem.
This is a cute book showing how opposition can lead to romance, even with tension.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Donovan is such a smart***, "he snorted. “We’re after the bucks. Not the mommy deer.” His woman is often just too much, “Christ, woman, don’t you ever wear a bra?” His girl is also always up for cheering him up, “I could blow you in the truck.” I liked this book I loved Donovan.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley.

The Cowboy's Hunt is part of the "three sisters" series. It probably would be helpful to read book one in the series first. It did start in a "weird" place, so i should have started there, but all in all, it was a good book. written well, good characters.

Emily Sullivan is an activist who comes back to her family ranch to help save them from bankruptcy, there she discovers her parents had hired Donovan Link, a man who could put everything she intends to do at risk, so she tries to sabotage him, until they realize that they have to work together if they want to save the ranch and in the process end up falling in love. This was a good story with a bit of suspense and twists and turns.

Emily and her sisters come home to help their parents save the ranch. Emily is the youngest and has always been treated like a kid by her family. She has to make them see that she's an adult who is capable of running the ranch after her father retires. Donovan leases land from her father and takes hunters out to hunt game. Emily, a vegetarian, despises people who kill animals for sport. Donovan and Emily are attracted to each other but their fundamental beliefs clash. This is the second book in the Three Sisters Ranch series. Recommended.

Second in this series, the story of Donovan and Emily. I think you need to have read the first book, as after the prologue the book jumps straight in and you feel like you have missed part of their story already.

A great read, showing opposites attract.
