I had no sympathy for Naomi and I think that's what made this book rubbish for me. She whinges and complains and then cheats on her husband and you just want to give her a good shake.

I don't very often give up on a book but I found this one tedious and disjointed and gave up about halfway through. There was certainly nothing happy about it. None of the characters were interesting or likeable.

This was an excellent novel. The plot was crafted like a black widow spider spinning her web and jumping out when you least expected it. Some of the things had me questioning if anyone would really get themselves so caught up in their own web of lies as Naomi did, but that made the ending even cleverer and I spent a while considering it all after I finished the last page.

I’m sorry I just couldn’t get into Happy Ever After, storyline was a little too slow for me and I gave up after around an hour with not much happening in the plot.

This was a brilliant read with a story line that grew more complicated with each passing chapter. The planning stages of this plot must have taken an enormous amount of time for the author, you felt as though you were on a speeding train with no ticket and no destination in sight. My only criticism is that I couldn't really imagine two people having sex in the showers of a public leisure centre but apart from that I could find no fault in it. This is a book that I would heartily recommend.
