Jax is a very powerful man that knows when to play dirty or play nice. He is trying to figure out what happened to his brother. He is not stopping until he gets what he wants and that’s answers.
Emma is trying to get her life back and get it back on track. She went through a rough patch and trying her best to get herself back. She has a lot of enemies that she doesn’t need to be dealing with right now. She just lost her father and is finding out things about him.
When Jax and Emma meet they have a magnetic feed to one another. He gets her and she gets him but they both have a lot of secrets. They are good together. He is her lifeline and knows when to push and when not too.
The ending is left on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next book. I need to know what happens next. I highly recommend reading this book. I couldn’t put it down. A lot of dirty stuff going on and I need to know how it all turns out. Love this book.

Jax having lost his brother and dad is going after the family that he blames for their deaths. Emma has lost her father but after finding a journal she finds she doesn’t really know who her father really was. Lost and confused Emma doesn’t know who she can trust. But the attraction between Jax and Emma is undeniable. Can they trust each other? Are they using each other to get what they want? After going back and forth of whether or not they can trust each other we are left hanging. Can’t wait to read book two. Book given to me by author on netgalley

I have read most of Lisa Renee Jones's books and liked them all but I think this one is my favorite. It is different from the other books she has written. This book has romance, suspense and I found myself trying to figure out who did it and why? I really love that in a book. I really like the characters in the book and it has a really good story line. The only thing I don't like is the book ends in a cliffhanger. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

LRJ must be a very enterprising writer. I see new stuff from her continually on NetGalley's offerings and it just boggles the mind she is able to publish so many so quickly. As someone once wrote about Jayne Ann Krantz and her multiple novels per year, LRJ must have writing elves helping her churn out the words.
So, I got this from NetGalley recalling she kind of writes a decent dark, sexy story and wanted to revisit her stylings because when you read as much as I do, it all just blurs. I just went back to my past Goodreads reviews of the books I've read from her and noticed I've rated it so-so.
Thankfully, this one is better. There's good chemistry and an interesting mystery unfurling. When one of the major flaws is there's too much bedroom action that stalls the story, I'm not sure that's much of a complaint on my part.

So many secrets, so much intrigue
Murder mystery, romance, family tragedy, corporate intrigue, and more. This book was really good, and the two main characters have so much chemistry that there are heated reactions happening throughout the book. The heroine is named Emma Knight and her father passed away a month ago and she recently found his journal only to discover that he was not the caring kindhearted man she believed him to be.
Emma meets the Hero, Jax North at an awards gala where she has to accept an award for her father. Since her father passed, Emma’s brother Chance Knight runs the Knight Hotel Dynasty and Emma has only ever been trusted with scouting new locations. Her father wanted her to marry Chance’s right hand man Randall, so he made Randall the executor of Emma’s trust which she doesn’t get for years.
Emma has no intention of marrying Randall and while hiding from him at the Gala, she meets Jax North who lost his father last year and lost his brother six months ago. Jax’s company supplies Knight hotels with North Whiskey, a high end brand that his family makes at their own castle. Jax blames the Knight Family for the death of his brother and is in town to find out what happened and get revenge.
The attraction between Jax and Emma is immediate and strong and he plans to use Emma to get the information he needs. Though when the two get together, they both have so many secrets and are suspicious of each other despite the explosive chemistry. They are not the only ones with secrets, almost every supporting character has secrets as well.
There is Emma’s brother who seems nice and who she trusts but may be hiding things, there is Emma’s ex-Fiancé who is super shady and makes Emma nervous, there is Marion Roger’s a married client who was having an affair with her father and will do almost anything to keep it from her wealthy husband and Emma’s Father and Jax’s dead brother who took their secrets to the grave, and lastly Jax’s younger brother Brody.
Of course with all the intrigue and secrets you know there is a cliffhanger so we don’t know what happens. But I can’t wait to find out.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to Read Now this book. As always, Lisa Renee Jones delivers a hot, steamy, and mysterious romance readers' dream. I must say I did not like that cliffhanger, not at all.

Once I started I couldn't put it down. These two are intense. They have so much going on around them but they're trying to navigate the start of their relationship too. It all starts to come together for them then a huge cliffhanger!!! Can't wait for the next book!

Holy cliffhanger! In serious need of book 2. I loved it. Lisa has such a way of capturing you into her worlds and this was no different. Entertaining and all around delightful. Now to get my hands on the next one because I’m already missing these characters!

Thank you Netgalley for an advanced eCopy.
A cliffhanger!! Never read a book by this author, and my jaw literally dropped at the end. I can't wait to read Book 2! The plot and writing style draws the reader into the world of secrets and deception. I was not expecting the sizzling sexy scenes (though I should have guessed from the cover) and if it is something readers enjoy then this is a book you do not want to miss. The characters come to life throughout the book, and Emma and Jax are perfect for each other. So many questions are left to the mystery of her father's journal and the death of Jax's brother. I am looking forward to seeing how Emma's brother, if any, plays a part in any of the twists and turns of a true drama.

One Man is book 1 in a new Naked Trilogy series and is, of course, a cliffhanger. Cliffhangers drive me crazy, and I know the author loves to write in trilogies, yet I can't stay away from reading a Lisa Renee Jones novel It's a vicious circle to say the least.
Emma and Jax have secrets, lots and lots of secrets. Emma thinks their meeting was accidental but it was far from it. There are so many twists and turns I am having a hard time figuring it out. Catching this so far after initial release though allows to dive into book #2 quickly where normally I would need to wait. Waiting until November for book #3 will test my patience for sure.
Great start to a new 3 book series, I voluntarily read and reviewed advance copy from Netgalley without expectations.

Gah!! The cliffhanger!! Really? I am left with wanting more and will have to get the second book in this trilogy soon! I absolutely love Lisa's style of writing. She has a way of really pulling me into her stories and making me not want to put the book down. I finished this one in a day and a half!
This first book One Man is filled with dark secrets, drama, danger, some heartache and plenty of hot sexy scenes. Even though their romance was fast, the main characters Emma and Jax really fit well together. And the secrets they are hiding as well as trying to unravel really made a great story line. The book left me with some suspicions and many questions. Who really has to do with what, why and how?? Guess I will have to wait to find out!
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I wish I can give this book 4.5 stars. Thanks to Netgalley for approving me to read an advanced copy in exchange for a honest review.
I love this author she is one of my favorite. Yes usually her books have cliffhangers and this is one of them.
Jax and Emma's family are at a crossroads. Jax believes her family is the reason why his brother his dead. Emma is wondering whether she knew her father at all. As well as is her brother involve in this. She can't believe what she is hearing and what she has read in her father's journal. In true Lisa fashion this book is sexy and filled with suspense.
I really like Jax and hope he isn't hiding something.

What a great beginning to this new trilogy!
This story is filled with suspense, drama, secrets, questions, and intrigue. I am left with a lot more questions than answers after finishing this story.
The chemistry between Jax and Emma sparks hot right off the bat but what happens when secrets they are keeping from each other threaten to ruin it all?
This fast-paced novel was so entertaining and intriguing that I could not put it down. I can hardly wait to read the next installment.

One Man is book one in the Naked trilogy, which has crossover characters from Dirty Rich and Tall, Dark and Deadly series. Love when we get to intermingle everyone together.
This book is fast paced and I will warn you it end in a hell of a cliffhanger. Cause the author is mean like that! We are following Emma Knight, the only daughter and one of the heirs to the Knight hotels and Jax North, now heir to North Whiskey. They both have secrets and should be enemies but they are trying to work out the mystery together. This one is definitely keeping you guessing as it seems like there are too many threads and if you pull to hard on one everything falls apart.

Lisa Renee Jones knocked it out of the park with her new trilogy!. I could not put this book down. I laughed, I got angry, I cried, and I smiled with this book. Jax is the ultimate character of perfection with a bad boy style. I want more!

Damn if this author doesn’t know how to write an incredible mystery/suspense book! Emma and Jax story is filled with hot chemistry, lots of mystery and suspense, definitely sucks you in from the very first page and leaves you with a dropped jaw in the end. I’m not a fan of cliff hangers, but I’ve come to love this authors very well written and descriptive story telling, so you don’t mind the OMG what’s going to happen at the end, but I do want the next installment to come out now!!! Chance and York definitely have something up their sleeve, and don’t get me started on Marion. Love that Savage is in this book along with the other Blackwell Security team. All around a really great book, enjoy the ride!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book

Lisa Renee Jones always has a bit of mystery and suspense weaved in her storylines....and I absolutely love them! This was no exception! My customers are going to love this, as they do her other stories!

Just finished this book and I cannot believe that it ended that way. I enjoyed it. Im not really a fan of Emma. Something about her just annoys me but I love her and Jax together. Ugh...i can't wait for the next book. I'm so impatient but I know it'll be worth the wait. Lisa is amazing at that.
Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Emma Knight is a twenty eight year old heiress to the Knights Hotels which is a worldwide hotel chain. Her brother Chase rules the hotel empire and her mother fled to Europe after her father’s death, for reasons few knew. But Jax knew. Emma who was standing next to randall Montgomery , her brother’s right hand and confident. He’s a man on Jax’s radar. He wants emma and her money. She is the farthest down the food chain. No doubt she inherited with her father’s death but Jax wouldn’t be shocked she was given a token token instead of a goldmine Emma is there to accept a philanthropy award on his behalf. Chance is curiously absent. If he were there, Jax wouldn’t be. He nor any of the North family could stand her father not that Jax found her brother anymore palatable. Emma has had Jax’s attention for quite awhile. Jax is the eldest of the living North family. Offsprings, the man who watches her. An irony Emma will understand soon. Jax is here in this hotel for one reason: Emma . She’s here and it’s long past due they meant. It’s long past due she learns about the connection between her family and his. He’d seen Eric Mitchell who was a genius. He’s also V P of one of the largest corporations in the world. The man was born a savant, who sees numbers more than words. Jax mentioned having lunch tomorrow and Eric said he could make that happen. The Knight name is all about luxury and comfort, but it’s core, it’s all about greed. Jax is about the speech emma is giving and the pain at its core. The pain is why he is here. Than Emma comes into the bar alone when voices sound behind her, she peeks over her shoulder and with a panicked look, she darts in his direction. To his surprise and jax doesn’t surprise easily - she slips into the booth with him and pulls the curtain closed. She says” so sorry” “ I need to avoid a conversation and well a moment or ten. The only way to do that is to be having a private meeting that looks as if it’s just that: private, not to be disturbed.” She takes his glass and downs his whiskey . interesting, she didn’t tun to Randall for comfort, but in fact ran away from him. There is a charge between them, an awareness that parts her lips and has her turning away from Jax. “I’ll buy that bottle of whiskey for you,” she says “ for letting me intrude.” a statement that either proves she has no idea who he is or that she’s playing the way a Knight will play. Jax said “Considering I’m a North and that’s North whiskey” She says “ You’re jax north.” She blinks. “Of course you are. You look like the North family.” Jax had lost his father to a ski accident a year ago next week, and his brother Hunter six months ago next month. He leaves out the cause of death. This isn’t a place either of them wants him to go with the Knight family tonight. She said she was a bad drinker. Jax said he will catch her if she fell. She said” Don’t start this relationship by making promises you won’t even try to keep.” She said “never.” jax said” Never. Which is something my friends value and my enemies dread.” Than Emma said” Do you have many enemies?” Jax said “ A man or woman with money and power always have enemies.” He finds he wants Emma to listen, really wanting to protect her, which is a contradiction to everything he would do otherwise where the Knights were concerned. Emma decides to get away calls an Uber and lightly packs . As she gets in the car she sees jax. He was looking for her she knows, Emma feels it in her soul, once she gets involved with jax there is no turning back. And there is no question . No question of coming back from where he takes her. There is no recovery from what Jax North would do to her. Jax lets her go. It’s not their time, he wants Emma too much. That wasn’t part of the plan. Emma had found her father’s journal and reads it and it shows her that her father was really full of deceit and evil. She has to find out what her father was up to.
I really loved this book. But it’s a 4.5 for me because it ended in a cliffhanger and I hate that. Usually I take a full point off my ratings but this was that good. Jax and Emma have hot chemistry. I loved the fast pace and plot. I loved the suspense, drama, and danger. I was drawn into this book in the beginning and stayed there until the end. But again disappointed by the cliffhanger. I loved emma and Jax together. I loved how protective jax becomes of Emma. At times this book had me at the edge of my seat. I didn’t want to put this down. I loved the characters and the twists and turns of this book and I recommend it.
