Sadly this book was not for me. This is no bearing on the author, it’s just that I personally could not get into the book.

Caroline has created not only your typical psychological thriller but one that just oozes woman's intuition! It’s fast paced, with the twists needed to provide a successful, difficult to put down read.

A terrific read that seems to get better with each page read.
I really enjoyed this book and the way that the characters developed. The story is kept me engaged.

Sometimes a woman just knows something, even if her husband doesn't agree. This is one of those times. This was a gripping read and you just had to see how it ends. Recommended.

Couldn't put it down! It has a slightly claustrophobic feel with the main characters living next door to each other but that only adds to the tension.

Lexie and Harriet are neighbours living in an anonymous tower block in London. Harriet is single and throws wild parties, while Lexie is living a cosy life with her boyfriend Tom. Both think the other has the perfect life from the things they pick up from social media and the sounds they hear Through the Wall. In truth, both are battling their own demons. When Harriet catches sight of Tom, she's reminded of her ex and develops a dangerous obsession, while Lexie becomes increasingly suspicious and convinced that Tom is being unfaithful.
This had the potential to be brilliant, but I felt it took quite a long time to get going. I felt for Lexie as the story unfolded and was keen to know how the story played out, When looking for thrillers, I usually prefer stories that are more fast-paced and at times this felt quite drawn out. However, it did come to a good conclusion and there would be the potential for a sequel focussing on Harriet and one of the side characters.

I very much enjoyed this book. It has a good story and excellent main characters. I would definately recommend this book.

A tense thriller, which brilliantly portrays the feeling of a person going mad, and not being believed by others, or able to believe the evidence of their own eyes. Well written, with fleshed out characters. Recommended.

Jealousy is one of the most deadliest emotions on earth yet it is increasingly common in the world around us.
Lexie and Harriet live “through the wall” from each other, although they have never met they do hear each other and from this they’ve both deduce that the other has a perfect life. As the story develops we learn that this is far from the truth.

I enjoyed this book, it was fast paced with short alternate chapters from the POV of each character. The writing covers a number of subjects – obsession, loneliness, negative implications of social media and image portrayal. Overall, a good read which I’d recommend.

I was really looking forward to this one. But unfortunately I just couldn't get into it. I hope others have more luck with it

Unfortunately I found this book quite boring as there was a lot of repetitiveness about trying for. Quite unfortunate as the storyline could have been amazing

What a chilling on the edge of your seat read I absolutely loved it I just couldn't put it down you just don't know what's going on through the walls you don't know what's going on next door you don't know what's going on inside someone else's mind this book was so intense and chilling it's a must read

This thriller was something different to what I’ve read before, it’s told from 2 different perspectives Lexie and Hannah, they live in the same apartment building, next to each other so they can hear the day to day goings on of each of their lives “through the wall”

Hannah thinks Lexie’s life is perfect and vice-versa, they spend forever listening and wishing they could swap lives with one another but that they don’t realise is that they both actually have problems, no ones life is perfect.

This story is the epitome of “you don’t know what goes on behind closed doors” I loved it and couldn’t put it down

Quite a creepy book from start to finish. Looked at mental health issues and how this can have impacts on people you don't even know. Really good

This book is so totally compelling, it’s so hard to put down.

The characters are so real, it’s so easy to become immersed in the lives of the two main characters.

Lexie and Harriet live next door to each other, in a big tower block in London, a place where no-one usually interacts with their neighbours. But their lives become intertwined in a very sinister way.

The clever plot moves slowly, with tension building all the while. At times it is so unbearable, that you wish you could warn Lexie and Tom about what’s happening.

The story is told from the points of view of both Lexie and Harriet, and Harriet’s past is slowly revealed.

There are some important themes explored in this book, that of mental health and how fragile it can be, and that of our perceptions of the lives of others, particularly when viewed through the lens of social media.

Hard to believe that this very well written and accomplished book is actually a debut novel. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Completely addictive and gripping reading, I both couldn’t wait to finish it, to see what would happen, and also was sorry to finish it, as I was so immersed in it. Highly recommended.

Lexie and Harriet, neighbours who share a wall and one of them wants what the other has. This could’ve been a really great story but it was repetitive and dull albeit some parts were okay but they were in the minority. No one comes out of this well, obsessed and obsessive. Why doesn’t anyone change the locks if keys go missing?? For me it was more like a kitchen sink drama rather than a thriller and it was a real struggle to finish it. Shame because I loved the idea.

Things aren't always what or how they seem...Loved how this book was written and the fact that it really illustrates that you never really know someone...their outer persona can be quite different to their inner and real self.
Lexie & Tom and Harriet are neighbours and the story is told from alternating points of view....they each think the other has the perfect life,how wrong can they be.? Once I'd started this book I couldn't put it down....a really good psychological page turner. Excellent debut novel....please write more!
