Thrilling and intense. For a debut Samantha M. Bailey has mastered everything a thriller should be - a fast-paced, gripping plot, with an ending that keeps you guessing.

I was intrigued by this book, and the idea behind the story is a good one. However, I didn't enjoy it. The characters are unbelievable, and cliched, and the story just becomes completely unfeasible. I struggled to finish it, but it would make a good read if you wanted to while away some time.

This has been my favourite book this year. I kept wanting to know 'why?' Why did the woman jump in front of a train? Why did she give someone else her baby? The author took us on a journey full of red herrings and we were unable to trust anyone. Loved it from start to finish. Read it in less than 24 hours. Cannot wait until the next one is out. Bags of tension, you're in for a whirlwind of a ride if you read this!

Be prepared to have a late night when you start this book because you won't be able to put it down until you finish it. It has everything you could want from a book, lots of suspense, plenty of suspects and just a little touch of romance A really enjoyable read

A woman is approached on the subway and has a baby thrust at her before the mother jumps infront of the train. She then tries to piece together why the woman said her name and why she gave her her baby. It's a good idea but not very well executed and I wasn't particularly interested in the story and the writing didn't grip me. It's a fairly quick read though.

I read this through NetGalley.

I got hooked into this right from the beginning. The story is very gripping with lots of dramatic turns and twists. I found the way the book was written to be very easy to follow and enjoyable. This is the first title I have read by this author but will certainly be looking for others to enjoy.

5/5!

All Morgan Kincaid ever wanted was a family. But now her husband has committed suicide after an embezzling scandal, Morgan has been left alone and disgraced, and it seems her chances of becoming a mother are slim to none. Until the morning when, at the train station, a young distraught woman shoves her baby into Morgan's arms and then jumps in front of a train. Morgan is horrified - even more so when she discovers that no-one at the station can corroborate her version of events, and that the woman, Naomi, left her custody of the baby in her will.

Who was Naomi to Morgan? Why would she leave her daughter to a stranger? All the signs point to mental illness - but was Naomi really just suffering from post partum psychosis? Or was there something more sinister at play?

This book was a very average one for me - a shame as I loved the premise and was expecting more. It was very far fetched in places, and I didn't particularly like or sympathise with any of the characters. The first half of the book was pretty well paced and enjoyable - the latter half, for me, was just that bit too far-fetched. I also guessed a big part of the "twist" from the very beginning - it was quite clunky and obvious. That having been said, the writing was good, and there were elements of the story I enjoyed - it just left me a bit cold. And I hated the cheesy Hollywood ending. I like my thrillers to be a bit more realistic - there's nothing scarier to me than reading a really good thriller and thinking, this could happen to me. I definitely didn't get that from this book.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars

One of those books, where you're pretty sure you know who did it,and how,and you have a good time reading the book to find out if you're right (or maybe wrong)
Lots of things to fill the storyline that I didn't guess at.
I read it in one sitting on a long train ride.
I think this one is going to do well.

Very gripping opening, immediately hooks you to find out what's going on. It's fast paced, and has some great twists. It took me a while to connect with the characters, but the plot was strong from the start.

The description of the book appealed to me straight away and once I started reading I couldn't stop.
I went to Amazon after to see if I could find any more books by this author but I think this is her first book, but I will definitely buy any future books.

A fast paced thriller that kept me guessing all the way through. A woman hands a stranger her baby and steps in front of a train ... or was she pushed ! Is Morgan really a stranger - if so why would Nicole asked her to take care of her baby ?
Told in flashbacks to Nicole’s deteriorating mental state and the current troubles of Morgan as she struggles to understand what is happening now.
Kept me guessing to the end and I will look for other books by the author.

I devoured Woman on the Edge! One of those books that you can’t put down until you know the mystery!

The storyline is absolutely fantastic and I’ve not read anything like it before, it’s fast paced, shocking and makes for a perfect read!
My only issue is I worked out what the ending was going to be but I read thrillers every day so that’s pretty common. ;)
I’m amazed that this is a debut, Samantha M. Bailey is one author to keep an eye on. I’m excited to see future work.
