I liked this one, it was not my favorite book in the series, but it was still good. I really like the Milford College series. I liked Max a lot, but the book was a little predicable.

A cute quick read that can be read as a stand-alone within the Milford College series. So if you love those single dad books then pick this one up. I love Max and how he is with his daughter Freddie. He is such a wonderful dad. The only thing is he is not much of a communicator and you will see this when you read. Katrina is just wonderful. You will love her and how she just embraces Max's daughter. I love Katrina and Max together. This was an amazing read that I couldn't put down.

4.5 stars - I love a Noelle Adams romance. Her characters always feel so tangible. The hero her is 12 years older than the heroine, but he reads younger. She’s 27 and done with living her life for a man. They decide on a no strings attached affair, but you know that never sticks. I loved it and found it to be a delightful, quick read.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Single Dad is the third book in the Milford college series. Katrina, a librarian, and Maxwell, part time art professor, work together on a art gallery project that is housed at the library. They have an instant attraction from the beginning and on mutual agreement they decide to have a physical relationship only. Katrina terms it as a 'disposable' relationship. They both feel that at this time in their lives they do not want to have a serious relationship. She is working on her professional goals, while he is focusing his time on his daughter, Rika, who he shares custody with his ex-wife. It all seems to work out for them, but a little thing called loves decides to come into their hearts. Which makes their relationship a little complicated...or so they thought!
Overall, I liked this story between Katrina and Max. They both overcame some personal issues in order to take their relationship to the next level. I do wish the story would of focused a little more on the romance than how well they got along physically. The ending makes up for some of the romance I wanted. It was very sweet and romantic.
Good read!
Cover: That is how I pictured Max in the book!
Thank you to the publisher/author for providing the ARC through NetGalley for an honest review.

I have read most of Noelle Adams books, but this one didn't do it for me.... The pairing seemed off and not substantial enough.
Katrina was nice enough, but Max I jad a problem with. His daughter was a teen, yet he treated her like a 4 year old and that just put me off. It seemed that both the protagonists needed more time to be developed in to fully formed characters.

A good book, I just couldn't connect to it.

This was an enjoyable book 3 in the series. Each book features a different couple and each stands alone.

This is Katrina's story. She is the research librarian at the college library. She meets Max when he is set to work on an art exhibit for his students. He is also a single dad with a 14 year old daughter. He is 39 and she is 27.

The attraction is very immediate but Katrina wants just a sexual relatonship since she wants to concentrate on herself and her wants and Max says his daughter is #1 and he doesn't want anyone else in his heart.

I loved both characters but I didn't like their reasonings. I felt that Katrina was a pretty great person who had a pretty gfreat life and her grumblings were kinda self centered and she had nothing to complain about. Max on the other hand loved his daughter for sure but a heart can grow and love other people and he seemed immature in his thinking about love and his heart.

That said I did enjoy the story though it really needed Max's voice in the story and we never get to hear his side. This is an author who writes some great stories and creates lovable characters but I wish she showed dual sides rather than just one side.

This was an exceptionally sweet romance. It’s short, but there is still time to get to know the characters and enjoy their interactions. Katrina is a librarian at a small liberal arts college. She is attracted to the art teacher who is also attracted to her. She tries to maintain her independence because she’s made mistakes before for the sake of a boyfriend, but Max is just too attractive and endearing. He tells her straight up that his first focus is taking care of his daughter and she’s fine with that. Until neither of them is satisfied with that arrangement.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

I haven't read the previous books in this series, but this novella worked find as a standalone. I like that for Katrina, it was important for her to figure out what she wants for herself and not as half of a couple. Katrina feels like she's made a lot of major decisions about her life based on the man she was dating at the time, and I think that's actually really common, so it was interesting to see that explored here. But what I also loved is that Max told her that the right partner would ask her what she wants and support her, and he really tried to do that. The whole "disposable relationship" thing was off-putting to me at first because I was stuck on that word "disposable" (rather than casual), but I think that was deliberate. The chemistry was great. the sex was hot. I would recommend this book.

Super sweet and sexy single dad college professor and the young librarian meet when they team up on a project.

Great read, the latest in this series set in a college.

Karina works in the library. She wants to sort out her life and be happy without a man. But then she meets Max. He is a single father and clear from the beginning that they won't be having a relationship. They agree to a 'disposable' fling, but what happens when they both realise they want more?

Looking forward to more in this series.

Katrina works as a librarian at a small private college. After a long-term relationship ended, she decided to focus on making herself happy, rather than setting her own needs aside by focusing on making someone else happy as he had in the past.

Max is a single dad who works as a graphic artist and as an adjunct professor at a small private college. His marriage was unhappy, so he made his daughter his priority after the divorce, believing that he didn’t have room in his heart for anyone else.

Max and Katrina meet when they work on a short-term project together at the college at which they both work. They are very attracted to each other. Because neither is interested in a relationship, they agree to what a o strings sexual relationship. Eventually, both start to feel more for each other, but they are both afraid that the other doesn’t feel the same way. Can two people who have been hurt in the past take a chance on finding love again?

Max is an honest man, “Katrina, I’m looking at you like I’m about to kiss you because I am.” Seriously the man doesn't have a filter, “because I’m way too old to have *** before coffee. I’d have made my best effort for you, but it wouldn’t have been my finest hour.” I liked this book, I loved Max.

I first discovered this author under her alter ego of Claire Kent and she writes darker sci-fi type romance under that name. I spotted this and thought I probably should try something more mainstream by her but confess I'm not really a huge fan of contemporary romance so going in my expectations were not that high .
This is a sweet, small town romance between Katrina, a young woman who has given up on love and just wants to find herself really and Max, a single dad who is desperate to be the perfect father.
What struck me as amusing was the distinct lack of communication between the couple as no matter how open they try to be there's still a lack of honesty which causes them both unnecessary hurt and angst. This is a short, easy read but the characters are likeable and if you are looking for a steamy read then this adorable little story will definitely deliver. I found it flowed very well and admit it lacks perhaps some depth as obviously Max does have a child who is part of this story but I finished it in one sitting so obviously it did hold my attention. This is hard to rate so I think three and a half.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my

Instant attraction leads to a promising start to this steamy novella, but insecurities get in the way of this being a great read. The third book in the series (though easily read as a standalone), Single Dad follows Katrina and Max. She is a librarian and he is the new art professor that everyone loves. Katrina has always let her needs take a backseat in relationships, so she’s put off by the charismatic and easygoing professor who seems to get everyone’s attention without trying. In an effort to focus on herself, Katrina has sworn off men until she starts achieving her goals, but Max doesn’t make that easy when he pursues her relentlessly.

I really liked the chemistry between these two from the start. Max can’t understand why Katrina seems to dislike him when he knows the attraction is mutual, and that tension was fun to read. Things started to go downhill a bit for me when they decided to start a so-called “disposable” (mostly sexual) relationship despite the fact that they obviously get along so well outside of the bedroom. It left a sour taste in my mouth, as did the lack of communication throughout the book. At novella-length, the story moves pretty quickly but still feels complete. I just didn’t necessarily love the direction it headed in for the back half of the story. I received an ARC from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review of this steamy read. I think I know who the couple featured in the next book will be and they have me intrigued.
