As a soft-spoken, quiet lady, I’ve been waiting for a book like this for a long time. I’m really pleased to say that it didn’t disappoint. Thank you Lotte Jeffs for sharing your wisdom, humour and wonderful story with us all.

Part story and yet part manual/guide. Some of the advice is common sense. Yet I felt this book was aimed more at the upper class of society rather than normal joe public
Thank you to both NetGalley and Octopus Publishing for my eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review

Though not an essential read, highly enjoyable. I always love books like these (Parisian Chic by Ines de la Fressange started it I think) and it's definitely one to dip in and out of rather than gobble up in one go! I've long admired Lotte Jeffs as a strong female presence in the publishing industry and whilst, if I'm really honest, I think she could have put a first book to better use than this, it's a good read nonetheless and one I sort of wish I owned in hardback as it's a gorgeous cover and would look good on any gentlewoman's shelves :)

The premise is to be more mindful of the world around you and how you make others feel, but the execution is only realistic for people with a privileged amount of time and money.
