This was my first book by TL Swan. I have to tell you, I was pleasantly impressed with the storyline. That being said, I am not sure that TL Swan would be a one click author for me. I just wasn’t grabbed by the story between Jamseon & Emily story. I may want to try something of hers again, but this one was just a book for me.

My first book by T L Swan and it was a very entertaining read. If you're in the mood for a quick big city romance with a lot of witty dialogue and so much steamy it'll fog up your windows, give this one a try. Just when you think you've got the story figured out, the plot, although a big cheesy, will surprise you.

If I could describe a book to you in one gif, well...you're welcome. You may now skip my entire review.

But dang it, I keep telling myself that I'll stop setting high hopes for books with hot covers only to be let down. And yet I keep doing it. Again. And again. And again.

Admittedly it wasn't just the sexy cover that hooked me here, but the blurb as well. It reminded me a little of a crossover between Whitney Gracia's Turbulence and Reasonable Doubt: Full Series. Sadly, the story just didn't deliver on the promise of the eye catching cover. Frankly, it was pretty much a hot mess.

First of all, this was not a story meant for a full novel. It was a novella that had an eye rolling amount of filler in the form of the constant back and forth between the hero and heroine. These two were like a merry-go-round of relationships. They're up, they're down, they're up, they're down. Over and over in a seemingly never ending circle. It was funny and cute in the first 20% but then it just got tiresome and unnecessary. For characters in their 30s and mid 20s, they argued like jealous teenagers. Now I'm a reader that typically loves good enemies to lovers vibe and some deliciously heated barbs traded in the way. But this was not that. This was just...I don't even know. Frustrating? Rage inducing?

I started out loving the characters, only to get so annoyed with them after the 25% mark that I barely forced myself to finish. It was a stretched out story without much holding it together, patched together with bouts of sex, and slapped with a HEA at the end. This would have been a hot 100 page novella, but for a full length book it only served as an exercise in frustration.

From the moment I started reading The Stopover, I did not want to put it down. This story was seriously sexy and swoon-worthy romantic. Jameson and Emily were electrifying together. She's sassy, smart and relatable and she goes toe-to-toe with the gorgeous, powerful and tightly-wound CEO. They are perfectly matched, and I loved every minute of their emotional, smoking-hot journey to happily ever after, and I cannot wait for the next book in this series and Miles brother.

I loved this book!!!!! From the first scene in the airport to the last page. Jameson and Emily have such a strong connection, wonderful chemistry and a ton of fun ( the camping scene LOL) I can't wait for more.

This is my first book by T.L. Swan and definitely not my last. Emily and Jameson have a chance meeting on a flight and their chemistry is undeniable. The stopover leads to an unforgettable night and then the pair part ways. A year later, their paths cross again and the attraction is still as intense. The story took a few twists and turns and the seamless writing leaves you wanting more. The flow of the story is well done, the love is heartfelt and at times, heartbreaking, and the happily ever after was well done.

If you want a very easy read with a lot of descriptive, passionate sex this is for you!
The story starts off okay with a young woman being upgraded to the first class cabin on her flight home to New York and meeting this gorgeous sexy man. Due to bad weather the plane is redirected and the passengers are forced to have a stopover - these two protagonists have a lusty night of passion and fun imagining they will never meet again.
Yes, you guessed, they do and their story begins. There are too many unrealistic coincidences for me and boring repetition of cringey cliches: '"His face is so damn kissable it hurts" and his "Piercing blue eyes" are mentioned in virtually every chapter. In the background there is a smidge of a mystery but the main story focuses on the dialogue of the two protagonists, their constant changes of heart and the two of them arguing, where nothing much happens. "I've never met anyone quite like you", and "Well...poof to him!"
Emily is not really that amazing but is an attractive, independent, young woman who stands up to Jay, a bad tempered, privileged, power obsessed bully who wants everything his way. Many of the other characters are unrealistic too - that idiot Jake brought in as a Corporate Spy - could they really not have found somebody more professional?
Sorry but for me it lacks a good plot and realistic, admirable characters and is just not my type of book I'm afraid. However, if it's your genre then give it a go and enjoy!
Thank to NetGalley for allowing me read and review.

The Stopover by T L Swan...well lets start with WOW!! This quickly became some of my favorite books! The writing was flawless, story development was absolutely perfect! I literally loved every second of this book.

The story is about Emily and Jameson's relationship. The up and down's and the twists that kept me turning the pages. I loved that it was a different topic and plot, I can say I never read anything like it before(and I have read ALOT of books in my day).

LOVE IT!! MUST READ!!!

ARC was provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

What a delicious book. I found this book in the 'read now' section on Netgalley and I thought it sounded cute and decided to download it. I waited a little while with reading it because I was reading other things, but after finishing a horrible romance book I just knew I had to pick up this book. Boy, am I glad I did.

Writing style: I can't really put into words why I like the style so much, but I do. Everything is so tastefully written and keeps me wanting more.

Characters: The characters are all great. They're full with clear personalities, charm and superbly written detailed descriptions of their varied physiques. I can't help but love all of them.

Story: The story itself is your avarage romance novel, but with the great characters and tasteful writing it doesn't feel like just another romance book.

Relationship: The author really knows how to put a dynamic relationship on a page. Yes, they list after each other immediately, fuck like rabbits and fall in love fairly quickly... BUT they also have fights, Emily doesn't let Jameson tell her what to do and who to be, they have a real relationship not a fairytale one.

This book is a great contemporary romance novel and I'll definitely recommend it to people who want a tasteful read with a good amount of smut 😏 The Stopover gets 4 stars from me. One for every Miles brother 😉

This book is one of my favorites that I read this year. It’s so good and it’s never slow which I LOVE THE MOST. You get to know the characters and you end up wanting even more.

When I first started reading this book I thought it wasn't going to be for me. We had arrogant and cocky Jameson and we had Emily who was just a snarky brat through the first third of the book. After that though she changed, the real her came out and she got over it and was a character who I ended up enjoying. I think the thing I think I enjoyed the most is the fact that she didn't just take Jameson back the first time he came around and she made him grovel and fight for her. This was a great story that sucked me in and didn't let me go until I finished.

When Emily has a one-night stand with handsome, blue-eyed Jim, whom she met in a first class flight from London, neither of them can forget the chemistry they had. A year later, Emily finally lands her dream job at Miles Media, only to discover that the CEO is none other than her hookup. The two develop a relationship, but can it stand the test of secrets, lies, and their own mistakes?

I struggled with this book. The "hero" was anything but heroic; he was demanding, selfish, and verbally abusive. He treats the heroine horribly and then tries to claim that he was motivated by altruism. The heroine is both too prickly and too doormat. She bristled at all the little things and allowed herself to be taken advantage of with all the big things. There was very little romantic about this book--more of a textbook on what kind of relationship to avoid.

This is the second book I’ve read by TL Swan, and boy oh boy does she know how to write an alpha male. I really enjoyed Emily’s feistiness, she stood her ground and was able to put Jameson in his place. I found Jameson both alluring and maddening, similar to how Emily felt about him.

In the end the two likely would have benefited greatly from sitting down and talking to down another. Their relationship ups and downs were a lot, and I probably would have given up long before they did. But when it was finally all flushed out it made a certain sort of sense. The story itself was good and I did enjoy the added mystery, it made for a great subplot to the story.

Overall this book was an enjoyable read, with a wonderfully written alpha male and good amount of steamy scenes.

Emily meets Jim when her flight is upgraded to first class. She can't believe this gorgeous older man is interested in her. The two end up having a one night stand after plane problems cause a stopover. A year later, Emily lands her dream job at a media company. The boss happens to be her hookup, Jim. Oh boy these two were a mess with back and forth banter, craziness and drama. I loved reading just to find out how things would end up. Another winner for this author.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A truly gripping romance story that i could not put down. This book meant a lot to me as it also helped pull me out of a serious book funk, the writing and story flowed smoothly, the characters are engaging and the romance was off the scale- both hot but heartfelt at just the right points in the story. First in a new series i cannot wait to read more of, oh and i love the brooding man on the cover on the book it sums up the lead male really well.

Really enjoyed this story. Hot and steamy. I liked both characters of Emily and Jameson and enjoyed the mystery side storyline. Look forward to reading others in the series.

I spent a good amount of time reading this book completely frustrated with both the hero and the heroine. In the end, it made for a compelling story. A true opposites attract story. In no universe would these two ever make their way to each other. Jameson the staid, strong businessman and Emily, the bright, effervescent young lady with only one dream.....to work for Miles Media. A chance meeting in first class, a stopover and a night to remember is all these two can have. Fate has more in store for them though and what follows is pushing and pulling, yelling and shouting, loving and steam to the nth degree. Was the angst a bit much? Sure, but in the end, the mystery who done it and the connection these two mostly had throughout, made it worth the read and putting more of the authors books on my TBR list.

Roaringly amusing, a layover due to a storm was never like this!

Emily boards a plane going home and sits next to this gloriously handsome man named Jim. London to New York means they have hours to chat. Being in first class means the champagne never stops. Their amazing link and chemistry extends overnight into a one night stand they will never forget. Memories of that night would set them both on fire, even though, neither one knew the other's last name.

One year later, Emily is finally starting work at a firm she has dreamed of. As she is given a tour of the firm, you can imagine her surprise when she is introduced to the big boss - yep! It is Jim... or better yet Jameson Miles "king of media world". This may sound like a run of the mill plotline, but let me assure you, this plotline is totally different and full of realism. It is never a good idea to have an office romance. Getting involved with the big boss is not far from total madness! Do not miss how many ways Emily and Jim can come up with to further mess up their lives. It is all in the foundation: trust and honesty!!

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.

Connecting for one night only Emily and the mysterious Jim hook up after a layover of there flight because of the bad weather.
12 months later and Emily is starting her new job at miles media where unbeknown to her, her new boss is none other than her night of passion Jameson Miles.
So this was a fun contemporary read with plenty of humour and heavy on the angst.
Jameson or Jay was dominant and bossy and a bit of an a-hole he was also a devil between the sheets.
Emily was passionate, focused and as much as she tried to fight it a pushover when it comes to Jay's natural charisma.
So I did like the back and forth banter between Jay and Emily but I wasn't always that keen on them, let's just say they both had their individual faults.
Jay could be a bit of an arrogant douche and seemed to have a split personality blowing hot and cold constantly throughout and Emily could be super argumentative and also seemed to have a huge chip on her shoulder when it came to Jameson's wealth.
Despite there flaws they both did start to grow on me it also helped that there chemistry together was seriously scorching.
Ultimately and despite some small issues, this was a hit for me an opposites attract, boss/employer rom-com of a read that I enjoyed and I am happy to recommend.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of The Stopover (The Miles High Club, #1).

The Stopover (The Miles High Club) - T. L. Swan
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yes, that’s right, you’re seeing ten stars.
I’m making up my own scoring system because clearly, five stars just isn’t enough for this new story and series by T. L. Swan.

I had to leave writing my review till I’d had a solid 7 hours sleep because, Jameson Miles + Emily Foster definitely equates to a 3am reading session.

T. L. Swan has captured the absolute heart and soul of these characters and beautifully created their story with all the traits of a truly epic love story.

The passion and emotional turmoil Jay and Em go through is torturous, but in the very best way for a reader. Every single page kept me engrossed in this passionate and at times, volatile romance and every character, even the ones I didn’t like was pivotal to the story and brilliantly crafted by the dynamic writing of T. L. Swan.

So, without further gushing, which I could easily do, I recommend you seriously need to preorder this bad boy and get ready for a very long night of reading....... absolute brilliance and I can’t wait for Tristan’s story. Yes, there are 4 Miles Brothers. Yippee!!!!
