My Quick Thoughts: I drew (tbh, doodled) many of the ‘things’ in this book using Waycott’s step-by-step instructions. It definitely was fun and one I need to get back to this book; considering that drawing more was one of my goals for this year.

Waycott starts off with providing a how-to-use the book along with basic tools and techniques for drawing and coloring. Do not skip this beginning section as it helps, a lot! The book is broken into sections based on the types of things we are drawing; and within each section Waycott gives prompts to inspire our creative brains followed by step-by-step exercises with more details both in the artwork and process.

Overall, a whimsical, charming, informative art book that encourages artists of all levels to draw and create every little thing, any time inspiration strikes

A fun reference book for people who love doodling. It’s not really a guide on how to draw, but more inspiration and illustrations for gathering your own ideas. I really appreciate these kind of books, as they give a different perspective on everyday objects. I think there was a nice assortment of the truly mundane, like plants, or more specific items, like Japanese meals. Reading about the author’s inspiration and favorite tools was also fun to get more insight on where she was coming from.

I wouldn’t recommend this for someone trying to learn to doodle or draw necessarily, but someone who is trying to make it a habit and looking for different insight. I plan on getting a hard copy for my shelf when I can.

I absolutely adore Flora Waycott's style of art! I am trying so hard to learn how to draw and this book has helped so much! It is very simple to follow and even though I'm not as good at it as she is, I have hope that I can improve!

I love any book that helps me to draw better and I especially love it when there are so many examples and options. This is really a simple book without a lot of instructions but lots of step by step examples. There are so many options for drawing things. from indoor or outdoor and is perfect for journaling or planning. Also would be great to draw and paint. Think I might purchase the book just to have on my shelf when I need inspiration. Perfect for a little drawing pick me up!

Thanks NetGalley for the opportunity to review this great drawing book.

What a wonderful title! I am always grateful for a book that gives readers a chance to explore their inner artist without needing a protractor and a bunch of professional tools. This book is as lovely to look at as it is to read. Accessible drawings mean that everyone can draw something, even if you don't think you can. Takes the mystery out of art.

Look around you and draw! Sounds simple, right? However, if you are as artistically challenged as I am you will be grateful that Waycott has created this simple step-by-step guide to help translate what you see onto the page.

I found this book to be very enjoyable! I loved the author-artist's style, and the many examples she used to demonstrate her ideas and techniques. She poses the idea of drawing any everyday object from around your home (vases, plants and flowers, gardening tools, shelf displays, etc.) to practice techniques. I felt very inspired as I read, and even tried out a few of the drawing ideas. Very fun!

Thank you Netgalley and Walter Foster Publishing for this digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Draw Every Little Thing is a charming book of illustration that includes practical information about tools and techniques. There is a projects section at the end of the book with a small selection of giftable and/or practical applications of the art techniques covered. Of particular note are Waycott's botanical illustrations, which complement her comforting images of domestic objects nicely.

If you want a book that shows you how to do simple line drawings of many different items and some suggestions for putting the items together in a drawing, then this may be the book for you. Ms Waycott includes many, many different items, from cute animals, to everyday household items, to sushi! But I'm sorry to report that for some reason this book was not the book for me. I have struggled to figure out why - I really like some of the pages, I generally have liked this type of book in the past -- but overall I was just not that impressed. I think part of the problem was that the book just did not inspire me to draw as other recent reads have done.

This book is simple but amazing! I am not a good artist but this book allowed me to draw simple object to add to my drawings in the background. The steps were easy to follow and there was a lot of objects to be inspired by.

There are so many things around us to draw, we just have to open our eyes.

When looking for something to draw, many aspiring artists cannot locate that “perfect thing.” Flora Waycott encourages us to look at the normal things around us. Everything is perfect for practice. For example, after reading this book, I notice the way my breakfast biscuit package is laying on my phone and my pencil is by my cup. The shapes, contrasts and shadowing would be perfect practice for me. Go out and really see what is around you.

I received an ARC from Quarto Publishing through NetGalley. This in no way affects my opinion or rating of this book. I am voluntarily submitting this review and am under no obligation to do so.

The author, Flora, takes you on a journey in this book to become more inspired with everyday life by encouraging you to draw the life around you, The lovely illustrations are not complex so even the absolute non-artist will not be intimidated. Flora goes into detail about the materials needed and the color wheel so that you have the knowledge starting right off to make creative illustrations.

Wholesome and adorable.

This is a beautifully colorful little how-to book for simple doodling. I think it's particularly good for beginners, but people who have taken a break from art or who have found themselves stuck recently will really appreciate it too.

This was a sweet little book about being creative and drawing every little thing. I really believe that we do not need to wait for inspiration or only create masterpieces. Just like happiness is found in little things, so we can enjoy drawing every little thing - from the kitchen to the garden to the Christmas ornaments.

Plus there is a lot to learn while we observe the things around us! Lovely book!
