Whimsical inspiration for the emerging artist. The look is pretty, the copy clean, the tool recommendations sound, but the actual instruction is light. Perhaps not best suited for beginners or those that need/want detailed instruction, but it's pretty to look at.

Inspired Artist: Draw Every Little Thing is a helpful guide book for any new artists, or artists hoping to advance their drawing techniques. Written by Flora Weycott, this book does exactly what it promises. It gives the readers a foundation in which they can then go ahead and drawing anything they so desire.
This book is part of a series, known as the Inspired Artist. So if you’re interested or enjoyed this one, do be sure to check out the rest as well! They’re perfect for hobbyists and artists alike, regardless of skill level.
Not only is this guide extremely informative, but Flora Weycott’s artistic style is simply endearing. Her whimsical nature shines through in this guide, giving off a soothing feel while being simply adorable. It’s no surprise that others would want to learn the methods behind her artwork.

If you enjoy doodling then this would make a great addition to your art collection. I loved trying to Draw every little thing!!

This book is seriously one of my favorite "how-to" books I have ever read. I am always so envious of people who can doodle well and wanted to improve my own skill so I felt like this book would be a good one and it definitely was! I loved how this book covered so many topics; essentially anything that I would probably want to learn to draw was in this book. It also made it so easy, especially for someone like me who is not artistic inclined at all. I am so happy I gave this book a shot and truly enjoyed it!

I thought this would be a great little book on how to make items look realistic but the book was very basic in giving any details. I know most books like to give a brief rundown of what media to use, including the best kind of pencils and colour wheels but this seemed to go on and on, in fact, the actual drawing part didn't happen until almost halfway through the book. The end results were a little cartoonish and basic but I really enjoyed the little projects sprinkled throughout; they gave good inspiration for things to draw.

This is a very cute little book to get your artistic juices flowing, to start sketching, to add to it with colour, to incorporate your designs into bigger pictures, to put your own style into your sketching and most of all to have fun. Nothing in this book is hard to do, but it will inspire you to to create and sketch which in turn will evolve your own style in your art work.
Fun book for all ages with some craft items to make at the end.

I enjoyed the illustrations and step by step ideas here in this book. It is a fun book of inspiration and ideas for drawing a wide range of doodles – quite literally everything! I loved the maps and patterns, as well as some of the detailed project ideas/instructions at the end.

'Inspired Artist: Draw Every Little Thing: Learn to draw more than 100 everyday items, from food to fashion' by Flora Waycott seemed like an ambitious title for a book of 128 pages, but who's keeping track of these things?

After a charming introduction, and a helpful chapter on tools and materials, the reader/artist is taken in to various familiar areas like Around the Home or Everyday Life. Each of the 4 sections has a series of creative prompts to draw things like pets or gardening tools or lamps. These are followed by exercises where the prompts get put in to a larger project like a picture of the local park, or a homey view of plants and pets.

I liked the cozy and encouraging style of the writing. I do wish the drawing prompts had included perhaps a bit more instruction, or been varied as to build skills. It is approachable and would easily build confidence in anyone looking to do that.

A nice short book focused on the items that are being drawn. Not individual items on how to draw - some items on one project. Steps for a few items. How it would relate to each other.

Totally charming book with beautiful illustrations and easy to follow instructions. Can't wait to work through it properly with my daughter when she's old enough!

This book is great way to try something creative. You do not have to be an artist, it is fun to just slow down and try things. For any age that would like to create and try something.

So rarely does a book set out to achieve a goal and do so as thoroughly as this. Covers a lot of ground from tools to techniques to materials to how to draw every little thing. I'm a crap artist, but this book makes me want to be better.

This book would be perfect for creative beginners as well as anyone interested in incorporating mindful sketching into their everyday life. I liked that the author pointed out the joys of drawing objects that might normally be overlooked, and that she additionally gave examples of little doodley marks that can enhance any sketch. Although her style might not appeal to everyone, nor the basic follow-along drawing section, the ideas and philosophy she presented seem like they would benefit most people looking to expand their sketching pursuits.

This book follows the typical outline for a how-to guide on sketching and drawing. The beginning outlines basic art tips and rules, the next section offers some quick drawing prompts and objects to sketch, and it finishes up with three larger projects. In this, the book is good for beginners as well as seasoned artists looking for some inspiration.

What sets this book apart is its focus on the ordinary. The suggestion is to sketch quite literally everything instead of seeking a great big "something" to draw.

I enjoyed the book's sweet illustration style, its simple step-by-step instructions, and its suggestions of which mediums to use to get lovely illustrations. I did feel that it could have had more instruction and more focused prompts. In short, it was a worthwhile read and it may be good to add to any artist's collection.

This is an incredible cute book! I love how in depth it is and the illustrations are just adorable! This could be a great Christmas present.

This was a sweet book on everyday things you can draw and how to draw some of them. The author goes through some of the mediums she uses as well. She has a such a calming sweet look to her drawings.

Beautifully designed and with above the board, accessible tips for the person looking to inject some creativity and artistic pursuit into their life. I'm definitely buying the hard copy for my sketchbook project as, unlike some a other arts books I've looked or tried to use in the past, this one hits the mark between practicality and inspiration. A strong recommend!

This is an appealing book that will teach budding artists, including adults, how to draw more than 100 every day items. The author has a natural, chatty style as she describes the projects and how she became interested in each.

The book begins with general directions, a list of tools and materials, etc. It is then divided into chapters including Around the House, Get Outside!, Everyday Life and Around Town. There is also a final section on Crafting Projects. Each section has multiple ideas. For example, the section Around Town has two Creative Prompts: one on Bicycles and one on Mailboxes. There are then exercises that involve drawing a house, a cafe and a neighborhood map. Each of the other chapters is similar in organization. For all, there are detailed illustrated directions for drawing.

The book has a mix of color and black and white artwork. The finished projects look lovely and, at times, whimsical. Throughout, the book is inspiring and helpful. Readers will see that, even if not born an artist, you can learn to draw and enjoy creating your own works.
