A funny thing about me is that I loathe Hallmark Christmas Movies but I love Christmas Romance books.

Christmas at Silver Falls is exactly what I love in the fun Christmas novels that I tend to start to devour at this time of the year - fun, light and a bit of salt to go with the sweet.

This book is about Scarlett who has arrived with her father at his mother's inn, White Oaks Inn, for the holidays. Unless there's a Christmas Miracle, it seems that all hope is lost that White Oaks Inn will host another family Christmas. In comes the handsome Charlie who Scarlett hopes will be the one to save the day... but can he??

Ultimately most of the plot points are pretty easy to figure out but it didn't stop me from curling up with this book and enjoying it for what it was - a book version of a cup of hot cocoa.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for an eARC copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

It’s mid November and I’m on a holiday reading kick. ‘Christmas at Silver Falls’ is a cute, feel good read for the holiday season. I love Scarlett’s determination and caring nature. I felt like I was rooting for all of the characters to have their happy endings.

Cute story about an inn (not original but still one of my favorite settings), a grandmother, her granddaughter, and .... yep, a handsome building developer. Pretty predictable, but a nice, light, easy read with no expectations of the reader except to enjoy the show. The characters could have been developed a little more fully and consistently, the dialogue was believable, and the twist at the end was satisfying - though could have used a little bit longer of a set up. Overall, just what I need for some cozy before-I-fall-asleep reading.

I am a sucker for a GOOD Christmas story that includes all of my favorite things: a Christmas romance, old house/hotel, holiday decorations, holiday traditions, a happy ending! I loved how cozy and warm this book is; it is definitely one you will want to read in front of the fire with hot cocoa or just curled up with a cozy blanket! What really struck me in this story is how uplifting and hopeful it is. It really set a happy mood for the holidays. Besides that, the writing was well-done and I felt like I was really able to get inside the story and know the characters. Scarlett is an adorable character, especially when she is in shambles about the old hotel, and the property developer Charlie Bryant was a nice foil to her. I liked reading their stories and watching their relationship grow and shift. This is a great holiday read!.

Having recently seen Jenny Hale's first Hallmark movie, all I can say is I hope they have all her past, present and future Christmas books signed up for movies, as yet again she has written a fabulous story, that would make a really enjoyable film too.

I loved every second of this book, from seeing if Scarlett would actually be able to enjoy Christmas this year, to discovering just what handsome stranger Charlie is hiding, and whether or not the White Oaks Inn really does have to be sold or whether it can be kept in the family.

There are many unexpected turns in this book that kept me on my toes and reaching instantly for the next page.

I'm a huge fan of Jenny Hale's writing, I think I've read all her books, and I can honestly say this is one of her best if not the best. I felt as though I was part of the Bailey family, all the members of it had distinct personalities and the setting of the White Oaks Inn, with the snippets of history about it just felt so so real.

And Silver Falls sounds to picturesque, and its such a cute little town too.

Literally the only fault I had with this book was that it ended would have happily kept on reading for a lot longer.

It's a story with such a warm and cosy feel, and it was so quick to read. Before I knew it I was over half way and regretting the common sense part of my body winning out telling me to do some work... before being able to read the rest. It was enchanting, and heart warming and really was a gorgeous festive story.

Thank you to Bookouture and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Jenny Hale's Christmas books are to absolutely die for and Christmas at Silver Falls is no exception. It is the perfect Christmas story which shows you how important family are, whilst also getting to know about such a close-knit community who will do anything to help Scarlett and her family save White Oaks Inn.

This is the perfect, cosy, November/December read, which will definitely include all the blankets and all the hot chocolate. I absolutely adore Jenny's books turned in to Hallmark movies and this book is literally like watching a Hallmark movie come to life, I hope it get's the green light!

While I’m not a fan of colder weather and inwardly cringe when the temps do begin to drop in the fall there are things I love about the season and one of those are the feel good holiday romances. Christmas at Silver Falls by Jenny Hale is one of these such contemporary holiday romances that is perfect for the holiday season.

Scarlett Bailey is spending this Christmas at White Oaks Inn with her family the way they have done for years. Unfortunately for Scarlett’s family though they may need to say goodbye to the Inn after this holiday season when the costs have just become too much for Scarlett’s grandmother after having owned and operated it for years.

Knowing of her grandmother’s financial troubles Scarlett thinks she’s come up with the perfect plan when she hears that successful property developer Charlie Bryant is in town. However Scarlett gets a little distracted actually talking business when she meets Charlie but instead finds herself falling for the handsome stranger.

Jenny Hale has done it again with another lovely romance. As soon as I began this one I felt like I was transported straight to the White Oaks Inn myself and surrounded by all things family and Christmas. I do think a few things seemed predictable with how everything happened but it was still a nice story overall.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

Everything you want a cozy Christmas romance to be. It's like being in a Hallmark movie, with all of the scenes so visual, the plot just completely easy and carefree. It's a comfort read, one that I would recommend to all. Jenny Hale works magic with the plotline of the romance, and as expected (and adored!) we get such a lovely sense of place, of sensory details, of warmth. And of course, we get a fresh angle on the spirit of the season, spent with family and bringing such perfect gifts with it. I love Hale's writing voice and find this book to be yet another climb up the ladder of worthy and fun fiction.

Christmas at Silver Falls by Jenny Hale is the ideal read to kickstart this year’s festive season. From the gorgeous cover to the heartwarming feel good story, this lovely book has everything you could possibly want from a Christmas tale and is the perfect read to curl up with on a cold, winter night.

Scarlett Bailey is desperate to do everything she can to save her grandmother’s rambling old fashioned hotel. White Oaks Inn holds a very special place in her heart and is full of so many memories of when Scarlett was a little girl. The familiar smells, warmth and family traditions all come flooding back every time she visits, but now it looks as though this will be the very last Christmas Scarlett and her family will ever spend there as the crumbling hotel is under threat.

So when she hears that property developer Charlie Bryant is spending Christmas at Silver Falls, Scarlett is hopeful he will be the answer to her prayers. But when they meet sparks begin to fly – in more ways than one – and the two discover that they have very different ideas when it comes to what they want for White Oaks Inn. But then Scarlett begins to realise that there is more to Charlie than meets the eye and that he is struggling with a secret from his own past. Will Charlie be able to open up to Scarlett? Or is he unable to truly open up and get close to anyone? And can Scarlett show him just how much her Gran’s hotel means to her and persuade him to help her save it?

What follows is a lovely and heartwarming story of love, family and Christmas traditions that will make your heart glow. Full of Jenny Hale’s trademark humour and warmth, Christmas at Silver Falls is the perfect read for this time of year. It has everything a festive story should have, from baking cookies and decorating the tree, to the brilliant characterisation, romance and heartfelt moments that will bring a lump to your throat.

I loved everything about this book and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who would like to escape from the real world for a while. A beautiful and uplifting read that will kickstart the festive season with style.

A cute holiday romance novel that includes all the Christmas trimmings. I can definitely see this becoming a Hallmark movie.

Scarlett and her close family must break the hard news to her grandmother that her White Oaks Inn must be sold, or face bankruptcy. In walks the mysterious Charlie who Scarlett is taken to, but can't seem to break down his protective, icy wall.

But as Scarlett gets to know Charlie, she finds out that he has the means to save White Oak Inn, hut how does she ask him for help while not making him feel used when she is realizing she is beginning to fall for him?

It’s November 2nd and I have read two Christmas books in two days and I am getting into the holiday spirit! Jenny Hale has a way of bringing you right into her stories so you feel like you are part of them and Christmas at Silver Falls is no different!
Meet Scarlett who is trying to find a way to save her Grandma’s inn so they don’t have to tell her it is time to sell it after enjoying what maybe the last Christmas her family celebrates there.
Meet Charlie, the resort builder who Scarlett is hoping to bail them out and buy the inn.
The story takes you on a journey of growth for both Scarlett, Charlie and many other characters in the book all while giving you the warm and fuzzies that celebrating Christmas with family and friends, both new and old, can do.
A wonderful way to get you into the holiday spirit and remember Christmas is not about receiving but giving and being there for those that need you.

This was a really lovely Christmassy read. Set up in the mountains with plenty of snow, several disasters, a battle to save the family business, along with secrets and feuds, topped with a sprinkle of love and Christmas magic! A lovely read

A lovely story of friends, old and new, along with family coming together to save their family-owned inn. It's losing money hand over fist, but with the help of Charlie, a disgruntled businessman, a renewal of the Inn is underway. Throughout carrying out the renovation plans, Charlie begins to realize his value, both in business and his personal life.

A new author for me, but I'd certainly read other stories she writes.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher for my honest opinions.

Scarlett and her family have been celebrating their family Christmas at her Grandparents Inn for as long as she can remember. This year though may be the very last one, as financially White Oaks Inn is having problems and since Scarlett's Grandfather passed away it I also more work that her Grandmother can handle by herself.

The family has had a meeting and decided that their only choice is to sell White Oaks Inn, but they have not told Scarlett's Grandmother yet, and don't intend to until after Christmas. Christmastime in the picturesque town of Silver Falls is magical and full of memories for Scarlett. She and her family can't imagine spending it anywhere else.

As Scarlett searches for solutions to their Inn's financial issues, she find “Charlie” and there is a spark between them that they can't deny, not to mention he is a successful property developer too. Scarlett is determined to find a solution that her Grandmother could live happily with. Could this be the answer that her family needs, or can he be trusted.

This is the perfect cozy Christmas read. Bring a blanket and a cup of tea, and maybe a few tissues and you're all set to read this in one sitting! I couldn't put it down, and stayed up reading it until I was finished!! I continue to find myself thinking about Charlie, Scarlett, and her family.

I highly recommend this book and I will definitely be reading more of Jenny Hale's books!

Scarlett spends each Christmas at her grandmothers hotel in Silver Falls, but due to ongoing costs and the hotel losing money this might be the last year she spends here.
This is a story about a family, Christmas, conflict and togetherness. Location was beautifully described.
This was a light easy read with very likeable characters and a feel good factor.

This holiday novel is predictable and could easily be made into a Hallmark movie-if you enjoy that type of entertainment you will enjoy this book. Me? I found it a little boring in places, but it was a lighthearted, fluffy read.

Scarlett Bailey arrives in Silver Falls with her dad Blue, ready to spend the festive season with her family at her grandmother’s inn White Oaks. The family have decided to close Gran’s inn as she is struggling financially and practically since the death of her beloved husband: the only problem is they haven’t told Gran yet…
Scarlett sees an opportunity to save the inn with a takeover from Charles Bryant but he is difficult to get on with and very secretive. Is she only interested in him because he could save Gran’s hotel or are emotions involved? She remembers him from her teen days but her faith in him is shaken when Gran refuses to trust him and a stranger turns up looking for him…
Christmas at Silver Falls is a sweet festive book about finding redemption and love. Family politics can be difficult to negotiate at the best of times but when loss and grief are involved. Scarlett and Charles have both got secrets to hide and they need to develop trust in each other before they can reveal their situations.
The importance of family is a key theme throughout the book. Scarlett and Charles both lost their mothers at a young age but whilst she grew closer to her father and other relatives, he became estranged. The hotel that Scarlett wants to save has plenty of happy family memories but change is inevitable in the same way that new generations of family arrive while older ones diminish.
Author Jenny Hale has made her main characters likeable and the dilemmas they face are believable. The Christmas setting makes it a feelgood book that will warm your heart as the weather turns colder.
