Although I haven't yet read any of Jenny Hale's other novels, the attractive cover design of this one caught my eye and I thought the premise of the book sounded wonderful. Christmas at Silver Falls was a lovely story and I especially liked the main character, Scarlett Bailey, to whom I could really relate. She was caring, determined and rather sweet and I loved the charming setting, the White Oaks Inn, a rambling, old-fashioned hotel in the picturesque town of Silver Falls, within the mountains of Tennessee.

The Christmas theme was enchanting with it's festive allure and the story's overall tone was so snug and uplifting, bringing with it all that delicious homemade cooking and the aromas of chocolate and cinnamon.

This was a beautifully written, heartwarming story of love, friendship, community spirit, dreams, taking risks, enjoying life and living in the moment. Dashes of sparkling romance and friction kept things fizzing and everything was wrapped up very nicely in the end.

A wonderful read with a really strong Christmas feel, this is a book that I will certainly be recommending to friends and family.

I received a complimentary digital copy of this novel, at my own request, from Bookouture via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

I loved the look of this Jenny Hale book from the moment I saw the cover. The snow-covered hotel with the traditional Christmas decorations at the forefront really made me want to find out what Christmas at Silver Falls was all about.

Scarlett and all her family gather each Christmas at the White Oaks Inn, which is owned by Scarlett’s gran. However this year there is a little cloud hanging over the Bailey family. Running the hotel has become too expensive and they feel that it has become too much for the old lady. Scarlett fears that this Christmas at the cosy and welcoming retreat might be her last.

The other main character is Charles Bryant, a wealthy and handsome property developer. Mystery surrounds Charlie and Scarlett is determined to find out why he has suddenly reappeared in Silver Falls. Despite his abrasive manner, she sees that he is deeply troubled and is determined to learn the truth.

This is a heartwarming, atmospheric read with a host of lovely characters and a breathtakingly beautiful location. I loved the old fashioned Christmas traditions and could almost taste the festive cookies, straight from gran’s oven. This was the perfect escape for me and I loved every minute.

"Christmas at Silver Falls" is the newest Christmas book by Jenny Hale. As I enjoyed her books in the past, the new books are a must read for me every year.

This book had a wonderful setting in the mountains of Tennessee and a lovely cosy Inn. The scenery was all wintery and Christmassy which I enjoyed a lot.

The story is about family and friends and the community is very tight-knit. I really like the general story. Still I had some problems with the main characters as they remained very distant to me and I couldn't really connect with Charlie and Scarlett. The love story didn't evolve big feelings with me either.

Still this was an enjoyable Christmas story and I am looking forward to more books by Jenny Hale.

This is the second book I have read by the author Jenny Hale and once again I really enjoyed it.

This is a really warm Christmassy story.
Scarlett is spending Christmas at Silver Falls but it looks like it could be their last one as they have to sell their Grandma’s inn on the mountain. Scarlett wants to try and stop the sale as she doesn’t want to see it go.

Charlie is a Property Developer and could he help Scarlett.

The book is about families and relationships and life.

It’s wonderfully written, great characters and is a great story for Christmas.
I loved it.

My Rating: 4.5 Stars

Scarlett Bailey is joining her family for what could end up being the very last time they celebrate the holiday together at her grandmother’s hotel. The establishment is bleeding money and the family plans on letting Scarlett’s grandmother know the hotel must be sold.

This truly breaks Scarlett’s heart. She has the most delightful memories. She does not have the heart to tell her grandmother. Instead, she is determined to do whatever she can to save the hotel. Christmas traditions are in full force. This is a happy, warm family, and Scarlett does not want these memories to come to an end.

Scarlett thinks she has found the answer when she hears that a rich, well-known property developer, Charlie Bryant, is staying in the town of Silver Falls during the holidays. Scarlett tried to find a way to get Charlie to buy the hotel, while at the same time, keeping her grandmother at the helm.

However, Charlie has something going on. Something deep that changed his life. Despite the fact that is is more than drawn to Scarlett, something is holding him back. Something happens and now Charlie is suddenly forced to face his past.

Charlie is the perfect hero. Oh, he certainly is not a perfect man. As a matter of fact, he was a ruthless businessman. But somewhere along the way he was able to learn some important life lessons. In so doing, what he represented to Scarlett, and ultimately the hotel, and even the town, was truly amazing. Watching a character go through changes that end up for the better is truly endearing.

As we approach the season, a story such as this helps to remind what family is all about. I absolutely loved the emotional impact that this story had on me. I truly love Jenny Hale and have enjoyed every single book I have read by her so far. I look forward to digging into her backlist while remaining eager for future books by this talented author.

Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC to review. This is my honest opinion.

Will it be the last Christmas at White Oaks?
In Jenny Hale's book "Christmas at Silver Falls", published by Bookouture, Scarlett Bailey is with her father on her way to spent Christmas at White Oaks Inn in Silver Falls. She is not in a good mood since it seems that it will be the last one at the beloved place that belongs to her Fran because of financial problems. Her family agreed to let Whit Oaks In go, but Scarlett is searching for a solution to save it. Her first encounter with Charlie Bryant, who is not only handsome, but also a successful property developer is not favorable. What will it take to get Charlie interested while he is living in the old and broken down house of his deceased father? Will he be able to come to grip with issues from his past? Will he be able to celebrate Christmas and how will his relationship with Scarlett develop?
This was the first book of Jenny Hale which I read and I am looking forward to more of her books. I highly recommend it because of his great and well developed characters and a story that also includes some mystery. It is a sweet, relaxing and heart-warming read, not only at Christmas.
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I absolutely adored this book and devoured it in one sitting which is crazy since I haven’t been able to finish a book in months. I’m obsessed with Jenny Hale’s book because they read like a hallmark movie and my obsession started when I read Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses. I remember thinking then that it should be turned into a hallmark movie and I got my wish. Can’t wait for it to release!

It was the cover that first appealed to me most about this book as it is such an alluring and beautiful cover, so festive looking too. But then as a huge fan of Jenny books it was a given that I'd have read this anyway regardless of the cover.

This was a truly wonderful heartfelt read from start to finish. It was so much more than a romance story, had lots going on and I was pretty much glued to the pages throughout and couldn't turn the pages quick enough.

I loved getting to know the two main characters Scarlett and Charlie and learning about their own stories and seeing how/if their relationship becomes serious or not. It was also enjoyable getting to meet and get to know the rest of the family and other characters, all of whom were a delight.

The setting and Christmas theme was truly picturesque, I really felt like i wanted to be there experiencing it all first hand myself. Not to mention all of the yummy sounding food and drink, think my fave was peppermint latte and the caramel cookies.

So final words, having read a fair few of Jenny's books previously, I am happy to report that she is a wonderful author, has such a amazing way with words that just keeps you wanting more and the way she writes her characters and how they develop throughout a book, really makes them come alive.

If you haven't read a Jenny Hale book yet, then all I can say is don't delay any further, as I can highly recommend her books as truly heart-warming, entertaining and delightful reads.

Christmas at Silver Falls is like a festive cup of hot chocolate: sweet, warm and all wrapped up by the end! Scarlett and her family have been celebrating Christmas at White Oaks Inn for decades. Her feisty grandmother has been running the inn solo for the last few years but with newer, fancier resorts opening nearby and not being able to complete with their modern advancements, business has dwindled. This Christmas is supposed to be the last the family will gather together at White Oaks Inn-unbeknownst to gran that they plan to help her sell the inn to prevent further losses. Enter gorgeous property developer Charlie, whose past continues to haunt him. He is taken by Scarlett and her kind and generous spirit-but how well does Scarlett know him? Can she trust him with her family's legacy?

This holiday novel is predictable and could easily be made into a Hallmark movie-if you enjoy that type of entertainment you will enjoy this book.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and author for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Grab the hot cocoa and a blanket and curl up with this beauty. Christmas at Silver Falls has all the feels of Christmas and romance. The author literally transports you from your current location into the town of Silver Falls. The people are so relatable you feel as if they are your friends and your family. The chemistry between Scarlett and Charles is fantastic, from the little spark the first time they met to their developing relationship. This is another Jenny Hale book that is so engrossing that you can’t put it down. I highly recommend any book with this author’s name on it.

A truly heartwarming and festive tale! Not only could the reader feel the warmth and love emanating from the pages but there was always faith and hope that everything would be exactly how it should occur. I also liked Grans message of taking chances to find the life we all truly deserve and to feel alive.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....!!  Okay, it's only October, but reading Christmas as Silver Falls is the perfect book to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Reading an exquisite Christmas story by Jenny Hale is no surprise.  After all, two of her Christmas novels have been made into Hallmark Christmas movies.  She has mastered the art of bringing the story to life to where I felt as though I was walking around Silver Falls myself.  When Scarlett and Charlie have their first mug of peppermint coffee, I also tasted the heavenly drink.  It is no wonder why her books have been made into movies.  I can also envision this one joining in the ranks.

This is a book about finding love when you least expect it.  It's about preserving the past while moving forward in modern times.  And most of all, it explores the value of family.  Christmas at Silver Falls is a beautiful, heartfelt journey that will make you laugh and cry.  But most of all, it will make you feel the true emotions of the Christmas season.

We all work to make money and there is nothing wrong with that. The problems start when you are becoming ruthless and your eye is only on making as much money as you can, no matter who you hurt.

It's even worse when you finally realise who you have become and what you have done you also see that you can't turn back the clock and undo some of your actions.

But it's never too late to make a u-turn and when you meet people who make you see that there are things that are far more important than money, you try your best to change your life around.

This is a lovely story about family, seeing things through other people's eyes and love, love, love.  5 stars.

Thank you, Jenny Hale and Bookouture (via Netgalley.)

Christmas At Silver Falls
By Jenny Hale

I really loved the cover of this warm and cozy Christmas novel by Jenny Hale. Jenny never disappoints with her lovely descriptive setting or the lovable complex characters. This is about a granddaughter trying to save her Grandmother's hotel. Richard is a man with his own secrets that he hides but he can also possibly be the solution to saving the hotel. In this story I liked how it transported me to a simpler time in my life that we can all relate to. There is romance where you least expect it.

This is one that I enjoyed while sipping hot chocolate next to a warm fire. Highly recommended for those who love all of the good feelings that reading a book like this tends to capture.

Thank you to Net Galley, Jenny Hale and Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to Bookouture for letting me take part in this tour and my copy of this book via netgalley. I love a Christmas book and Jenny Hale has written some of the best of them.

Scarlett Bailey is looking forward to Christmas in Silver Falls with her family. Her Grandma owns White Oak Inn on the mountain. Her feelings are bittersweet though because after christmas the family is telling Gran that they need to sell the Inn because it's not making any money. Scarlett was instantly likeable. She's a lovely girl who wants nothing more than to make everyone happy.

Charles Bryant, a property developer, has recently moved to Silver Falls. Scarlett thinks he might be the answer she needs for the Inn. Charles or Charlie is going through a lot and he has built a hell of a lot of walls around himself.

Jenny has written a gorgeous location with such likeable characters. I loved the town of Silver Falls. The Coffee shop, The Bar all sound like places I would love to hang out. I also loved the town people. Loretta sounds like such a sweetheart and Preston sounds dreamy.

I loved the Christmas party that the Bailey's threw. It sounded like SO much fun! This story gave me a real hankering for all the festive drinks. From Peppermint hot chocolate to mulled cider. Oh man, I want them all!

This is a gorgeous festive romance that is perfect for the season. I'd love nothing more than to curl up with a hot chocolate and read this story all over again!
