Charlie is quietly living in his late father’s dilapidated home, mourning his father’s death and an estrangement that prevented them from really knowing one another. In addition, he blames himself for business decisions that he eventually realized hurt people. He is at an impasse in his life and doesn’t know how to move forward.

Scarlett and her father returned to his father’s childhood home in Silver Falls to celebrate Christmas with their family in the family-owned inn that they may have to sell. They plan to explain this plan to Scarlett’s grandmother after Christmas, but know that she will be deeply unhappy at the plan. Scarlett desperately tries to uncover an answer that would prevent the need to sell the inn.

Charlie successfully build and ran luxury resort properties as part of his former business. Scarlett hopes to convince him to help her family save their inn. Along the way, Charlie and Scarlett develop feelings for one another, but can Charlie overcome the impasse in his life and find his way to helping Scarlett’s family and finding love with Scarlett?
