I enjoyed this journey so! It has many facets: nostalgia, incredible history, angst, redemption, family, an abundance of love and best of all a Christmas that was, is, and always will be traditional to White Oaks Inn in the Great Smoky Mountains next to the beautiful Silver Falls.
So very much included in this journey, it's hard to express everything I felt when I was reading. I went thru the emotions right along with the characters. There were a lot of them too, characters and emotions, I mean lol.
Scarlett, trying to find a solution for the Inn, hunts down Charles, who she realized she had met once in her teens, thinking he could help with this. They have an unexplainable bond, but he's full of guilt and needs to figure himself out, before he can think of being with Scarlett. Well, she's a fixer and truly helps him to see himself as a good person. It's not really that cut and dried, and this journey tells it all beautifully, with many fun Christmas events, surprises and a few catastrophes to right, for much variety.
The epilogue is incredibly sweet and romantic for a happy, deep sigh ending!

When it comes to Christmas romance, a family inn located in a dreamy remote town is the ideal setting. You immediately sense the potential for a lovely Hallmark film. You get the family drama, the financial woes to be resolved and the romantic tension between the two main characters.

The author managed to maintain the suspense until the end. I kept wondering how they were going to pull off the revival of the quaint hotel until the romantic final chapter and epilogue that will melt your heart.

Since I read the previous Summer novel “Summer at Firefly Beach”, I couldn’t help but compare my emotional responses. I was a bit more emotionally touched by the summer novel, but Christmas at Silver Falls is a moving and heartwarming novel with endearing characters dealing with interesting stakes. Recommended to get into the Christmas spirit!

Christmas in Silver Falls is a family tradition. The family is afraid this will be the last. The characters are so true to life, you'll love them. You'll see how they work to solve their problems and enjoy the wonders of Christmas.

A pleasant, easy to read Christmas romance that took a little bit of time to get going. The characters were nice and there was a little bit of mystery surrounding Charlie’s background but overall the story could have had a little more depth. That being said, I’d read more from this author as it certainly wasn’t a struggle to get through the book.

Christmas at Silver Falls is a sweet, typical Christmas read that warms your heart. It's cozy and warm with a big family in the middle who never fights.

Scarlet is going to spend her last Christmas at her Gran's Inn, who have run it for over half of her life, but now can't handle it anymore because of her age. The whole family are convinced that Gran needs to sell the Inn and retire, and they're going to tell her after Christmas. Scarlet really wants to save the Inn and tries to find a buyer and comes up with Charles Bryant. Can he save the Inn?

Curl up next to the fireplace, bring out the chocolate and start reading!

Christmas at Silver Falls was a predictable but sweet story of a family run Inn that was facing impending closure after years of negligence and lack of revenue. Scarlett came back to Silver Falls to help tell her Grandmother about the need to close the inn, but after her Grandmother refused, Scarlett decided to look for an investor to help. Enter, Charles.

I loved the interaction between Scarlett and Charles. It felt natural and easy. I enjoyed the development of both their characters.

This was a pleasant Holiday book and I enjoyed it!

Scarlett Bailey and her entire family have been celebrating Christmas at her grandmother's Inn for as long as she can remember. Christmastime in the picturesque town of Silver Falls is magical and full of memories for Scarlett. She can't imagine spending it anywhere else. When she learns that the Inn is having serious financial problems, she takes it upon herself to find a solution. Charles Bryant, a successful property developer is staying in Silver Falls, and she's hopeful that he will help her save the Inn. When they met, there's an immediate spark between them, but Charles is going through a tough time and saving an Inn is the last thing on his mind. Will Scarlett be able to convince him to help her? I enjoyed this sweet, heartfelt Christmas romance. It's a story about love, the importance of family, hope, and second chances. The characters were wonderful and easy to relate to. The chemistry between Scarlett and Charles was undeniable, and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow throughout the book. This cozy, uplifting story will make you want to curl up on your sofa with a blanket, a cup of hot cocoa, and a box of tissues. I highly recommend this book and will be checking out more books by this author. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

On the fence about this one. The setting was ok but the characters just didn’t click for me. I couldn’t find anything to like about Scarlett or her family really. Not a bad read just not for me.

It is such a sad thing to spend your holiday with dreading to give bad news to beloved ones.
And that's what Scarlet experiencing this Christmas.

Scarlet and her whole family agreed to let go White Oaks, an inn owned and managed by Gran. But the family know that White Oaks couldn't compete with its rival and have not enough capital to renovate.

Enter Charles, rumored as a son, albeit an estranged one, from a former resident who own a resort nearby and looking for a plot justa few months ago, yet currently staying at a dilapidated house owned by his deceases father.

Would Gran agree to sell the inn? Would Charles buy it and preserving its history? Or would Gran reject the decision made by her own family?

Well, you need to read further to know what happen to Scarlet, Charles and White Oaks.
For me the premise itself is promising, I know it maybe a cliche but I love how the author portrayed the characters with its flaw and goodness.

We also would not be boring because we could read other character's story albeit very short and fleeting. But at least it's not too much centered in the main premise.

I love this book and would recommend it to others whom a romance junkie and love the HEA.

Christmas in October is a fun read especially when the cover is so pretty and the story engrossing.

Saving White Oaks Inn was the crux of this book as it was the place where the entire Bailey clan met during Christmas. But that year would probably be the last as the newer hotels were taking in more profits. Scarlett knew she had to do something to save the inn.

Charlie was the answer to her prayers, a property developer with money to help. She just had to convince him that the inn needed to be run in her old fashioned way. Friction happened and sparks flew. Romance had a slight chance, but something was preventing it from growing.

Jenny Hale writes brilliant heart-warming books. Period. The emotions in this story were like the shiny baubles on the Christmas tree. Each one sparkled and left me longing for more. Two characters so different from each other added a spiciness to the otherwise cosy tale.

The words were powerful, each completed the imagery that I had of Christmas. Its spirit was captured in the chapters, and its fragrance seeped through as I turned the pages. There was something magical about it all. The path of love and understanding was not smooth, and that made this story more interesting. A fun Chrismassy read!!

Loved this story. The story of white Oaks and the strong characters of Scarlet and Charlie. This story is about family and how family stick together. In this story Scarlet's grandmother was bout to lose the the family Inn , the sons wanted to sell but when they got there for Christmas , Scarlet heard about Charlie and was hoping he could help. To make this review short and not spoil anything. Read this to see how Scarlet got through to Charlie and how he learned the concept of the Inn and what happened to the Inn. GREAT READ.

This was a nice quick read, my only complaint would be I struggled to really understand the characters....there wasn’t much depth to them, Is was a bit fluffy. A nice wee Christmas story, just lacking in depth

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This Christmas story was amazing! It depicted how the holidays should be - surrounded by family and good friends. Jenny Hale painted such beautiful and vivid imagery that you could smell the baking from Gran's kitchen and see the twinkling lights from the Christmas trees in your mind's eye.

Scarlett Bailey and her entire family have been gathering at the White Oaks Inn as far back as she can remember. The Inn is run by her Gran, who had built her dream with her late husband Pappy. Every year at Christmas Scarlett, her dad, her aunts, uncles and cousins make the trip to the Inn to spend an old fashioned Christmas together. This year they are all worried that it might be their last Christmas together at White Oaks as competition from large resorts has been slowly eating away at Gran's guests. The Inn needs major renovations to make it cost effective to keep running. Gran is a stubborn lady and resists change and help.

Scarlett happens upon the name of Charles Bryant, a very old friend from her childhood whom she'd forgotten about. Charlie might be the answer to her prayers but Charlie is carrying massive baggage of his own and might not be able to help her.

With a few twists and turns this book proves that anything can be accomplished if you have family and good friends surrounding you. This book is an absolute 10 and I was deeply sorry to see it end.
