Emmelyn Taylor lived on the Pacific Coast of Canada until the death of her father, after that her mother moved her to Toronto. Just before her father dies Emmelyn is given a gift by a woman on the beach but does not realize the extent of her gift until much later. Emmelyn was grieving and socially awkward most of her teen years and on top of everything else she has a huge secret that makes her think she is going crazy. People are being killed, women are being kidnapped and others want the gifts that Emmelyn has. I definitely want the next book in this series!
