This is an excellent book for gamers and those interested in issues of social justice. Centred on teen game developer Kiera Johnson, a Black American teenager who has secretly crafted a game for Black people around the world, this is a hopeful book which grapples with important issues of today.

When a boy is killed because of her game SLAY, it is launched into the spotlight and torn apart for seeming to be 'exclusionary'; it's about the need for safe spaces and fighting for what is right.
