Such a page-turner. It almost didn't feel real. It makes me sad to know that it is a true story. As a person who takes care of their elderly grandmother, it gave me many things to think about and prepare for. One I probably wouldn't have thought of prior to this book. I guess it's time to get to work on some things.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley.

Wow... What a book.
We all want to die a dignified, peaceful death. This book covers what happens on the opposite end of that. I'm pretty sure this is something we all fear.

The book is raw and heartbreaking. But it's powerful.

Wowsers! One of the best true stories I've read in years. The author tells of the tragic events in a chronological order and relates the most relevant details in a succinct, factual narrative that is both eye opening and jaw dropping as the appalling nature of the treatment of both her and her father is revealed. This is a must-read for everyone from the elderly to their caregivers, and would benefit medical personnel, hospice providers, first responders, law enforcement officers, and many others.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book to read and review. The opinions expressed here are my own.

This was a very enlightening book of how one type of service worker can create havoc to an individual and their family. It shows how even if you have conveyed your wishes on medical treatment and/or the way you wish to die, it does not always happen. I commend the author on trying to honor them. To the hospice care center, the one nurse, law enforcement and the coroner, SHAME ON YOU!!!!! You all should not be in your positions. To the author, Thank you for sharing your pain and your fight. Your father is proud of you, I am sure. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the arc of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my review.

Wow! This book read like fiction, as it is unbelievable what this author went through after transferring her father to a home, despite his wishes to die at home in peace. The suffering that he endured due to this home and the accusations brought against his daughter were written about in a raw way and made the author's pain relatable.
