"My Name is Bocci Bogie" is simply the story of a sweet little dog, told from the viewpoint of the dog. Bacci brought joy to lots of people and lived a very full and rich life. I am sure his Mommy found it therapeutic to share the happiness of this little fellow with others when she wrote this book. The line drawings match well with the text and show the reader the personality of this small dog with a huge heart. This book was an easy read, and any dog-lover will appreciate it.

I received this book from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

When I requested this book, I did so just because of the title and the photo. I am a huge dog lover and I wanted to read about his adventures. What I didn't know is that it was going to be written in his point of view. Okay, interesting twist. I'll play :) It didn't take long before I was into the story of his life-starting as a puppy getting picked out by his new Mommy and how he grew into such a popular pup. I might have liked it a little more because it mostly has to do with Colorado(where I'm from) and the Fort Lauderdale area, where I lived for two years. I loved reading about his adventures and the people he got to meet along the way. What I loved best is that she was able to portray what I assume is his real personality so well. When he got sick down the road, I could almost feel his shame for what he looked like as he lost his hair. That part almost made me cry because my pup a few years ago lost her hair too and I could see she didn't feel so good about herself either. When you look into his eyes after you have read this book, you can 100% see that his personality might be just as she depicted it. This was a very cute, but very fast, read.

My Name is Bacci Bogie Frequent Flyer Extraordinaire by Sandra Glosser

A cute little book for a “tween” who adores dogs, Bacci Bogie was taken everywhere by his “mommy,” accruing a considerable number of air miles. Whether permitted or not, this easy to hide and very loved Maltese went everywhere.

I felt, at times, that “mommy” was using this story to be a name dropper for the people she knew and places she stayed, but keeping in mind her reading audience, it wasn’t a total turn off. Kids might be impressed by all the places and people Bacci Bogie got to visit.

This is an easy read for a young book lover with only a few challenging words to discern. Pictures of Bacci are beyond adorable. Surprise the young dog lover in your life with this original story. Four stars from me for Bacci Bogie.

A very quick look at the life of a dog who travels with his owner as she works.
Although small in stature, huge in personality, Bacci made an impression on people wherever he went. And the world had an impact on him as well.

This is a cute book about and by a dog, Bacci Bogie, who travels the world over with his “person” who is a motivational speaker. Throughout his journeys, Bacci meets many people, who fall in love with this cute, little bundle of joy. It is an interesting book, told from the perspective of Bacci and is very autobiographical. Being a dog lover, I immediately fell in love with this adorable little one. I found it interesting to see the world “through his perspective”, so to speak. Just about everyone falls in love with Bacci because he is so exuberant. His “person:, Sandra definitely falls for Bacci. This book can provide a quick interlude of happiness in toady’s turbulent world. I recommend it to all dog lovers and to anyone looking for a good escape. I received this form NetGalley to read and review.

I am a huge dog lover so this book immediately caught my attention. This cute story is told from the perspective of the author's dog. He had an adventurous life as he flew around the country with his human.
