One Hundred Valentines by N.E. Teeuw is a collection of poetry that takes readers on an emotional journey through the different stages of love, from the tenderness of new love, to the bitter end, and finally to the freedom of moving on. I found the poetry to be both evocative and relatable, the author's ability to convey their emotions through their words is impressive. The collection is a true reflection of the emotional rollercoaster of a relationship that didn't work out. Each poem captures the reader's personal experiences of love, and the author's ability to put it into words is beautiful. The collection is a must-read for anyone who has been through a relationship and didn't work out. It's an absolutely beautiful collection that will make you feel, think and relate to. SImply delightful!

well, this was... bad...
it started ok and then got progressively worse and then in the 30% mark, it got really good but then was bad again...

a really pretty take on a pure love. it didn't really have any plot going on so i couldn't love it. but i did loved the use of art incorporated into the book! maybe i'm an idiot, i don't know if they're the author's, but nevertheless it really elevated the story.

I selected this title because I haven't read any poetry in a while and I wanted to switch things up. I often find poetry obtuse or hard to get into, but I would say this is a fairly accessible collection. Nothing I'm going to go back and flip through, but something worth giving your time to. If someone I knew were looking for a poetry book there's a chance I'd recommend this.

One Hundred Valentines is a collection of poetry that takes of from the tender place of new love, through it's splendid middle, to the bitter end and then finally to the freedom of moving on. I really enjoyed this collection and found the author was able to make me feel their emotions. The collection literally takes you on the emotional rollercoaster of ended love. It's like experiencing your own personal journey through someone else's eyes. We've all been through a relationship/love that we thought was going to work out and didn't, I feel like this journey is captured perfectly through every poem. It's an absolutely beautiful collection.

The poetry is easy to read and easy to get, maybe a little too bland, but very enjoyable and true. The illustrations are beautiful, but a few are too abstract for my liking.

This book was so beautifully illustrated I could wait to see the next part and the next paintings. The poetry was good but the way the book looks caught my attention more.
