Overall a light hearted, easy read which was enjoyable. I love books with a social media side so found this hooked me straight away as it focuses on a well-being blogger/guru who likes to paint the picture of a perfect life! Whilst doing this, she is trying to lure them into attending her well-being retreat.

The book focuses on some serious issues surrounding social media and I liked that as it’s something that really is consuming society these days.

I didn’t realise that this followed on from The Mummy Bloggers so I was confused with who was who to begin with, but think this book still works as well as a stand-alone.

This book was hilarious - it had me laughing nonstop. I definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a good belly laugh.

I received a free copy from net galley in exchange for an honest review.

I am quite uncertain on how to review this book. It was okay but not something I will remember in a few months time. I guess I expected more out of it in order for me to care more than just be done with it mostly out of curiosity and because I do not tend to leave books unread.

This was an okay read. I found that I struggled to connect with the characters though and it felt a little flat to me.

Such a good follow up to the Mummy Bloggers book! I am a mom of two toddlers and this book hits home to me and had me laughing into the late night. Good read!

What a bunch of unlikable characters?! Rarely have I read a book with such privileged women that I definitely don't want to get to know in real life, but whose story I couldn't put down. I needed to find out what they'd do next.

I did enjoy Holly's writing though and would read other books she has written. This one just didn't do anything for me, I think I liked the idea of the book from the summary more than the execution.

The sequel to The Mummy Bloggers, this story picks up after the blogging awards. Having not read the first book, I felt a little lost so I would highly recommend reading them in order as this doesn't work as a standalone book. I found it funny and a great light hearted read.

Great sequel. Beautiful structure, building up the Elle facade to a climatic ending. There’s a certain satisfaction to the blossoming and realisations of other characters. Hilarious at times and enjoyable throughout. Fabulous to catch up with old characters. Recommended read.

Thank you Netgalley

I´m not quite sure what to think oft "How to be perfect". It´s not funny and witty at all, its a lot about lying, abuse and rich people with really unrealistic live choices. But somehow the Author Holly Wainwright writes so well and the whole plot is so much drama, you just have to know what is going to happen to all the characters.

This book is so relatable. I felt like they wrote a book about my life. I couldn't put it down!!! You fall in love with the characters and their stories, and want to keep reading even after the story is over.

A great follow up to The Mummy Bloggers, outrageous and actually pretty sad that people would behave like this. Great read.

I adored The Mummy Bloggers so was super excited to get to read the sequel. Just when you think the original mummies couldn't get more outrageous, they do! While I did not enjoy this as much as the first book, I did love seeing what happened to all the mums and was pleasantly surprised at the endings they all had. Definitely would recommend!

I have mixed feelings regarding this book. On one hand, it’s very original and the plot keeps you reading. On the other hand, none of the characters are likable and there’s an excessive amount of drama. Lies hurt and affect everyone. The three main characters have problems with drama, perfection, and reputation. As they all experience difficulties in their lives, they somehow become drawn together—but not out of love or respect. It wasn’t humorous, romantic, or even realistic, but if you love drama this is the book for you.

4,5 Stars

I loved being back amongst some of my favourite dysfunctional families, for even more chaos, blogging shenanigans and the return of Elle.

If you haven't read The Mummy Bloggers then some of the backstory in this one may not make as much sense, especially with the feelings towards Elle, but it could potentially be read as a standalone, depending on how much that sort of thing bothers you.

Set 18 months after the end of the previous book, Elle has re-imagined herself completely, and although she is still someone who is incredibly hard to like, I did start to feel sorry for her in places.

We also have the return of Abi's family, and she is due to get married very soon, if only her ex-husband, and his kids weren't living in their barn!

And the final main focal character we have this time is Frances, who is a devoted follower of Elle, has signed up to the exclusive site and believes pretty much every blog post and piece of advice Elle produces.

I must say that I rolled my eyes at most of the stuff Elle was spouting and felt sorry for anyone who was vulnerable enough to believe her. And the people she is surrounding herself with now aren't much better.

Filled with humour, more on the theme of not believing everything you read online or on social media, and all manner of great interactions between assorted characters makes this a really amusing and fun book to read.

I really hope this isn't the last we have seen of these characters, I'm pretty sure they could get up to all manner more misadventures in the future!

Thank you to Legend Press and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed voluntarily and honestly.

While I loved The mommy bloggers, this story was a bit of hardship for me to read because the pace was so slow that I had to stop so many times and I kinda lost interest in it unfortunately.
It’s still an interesting read and same great writing and characters.

Since a few month I’m extremely interested in Yoga, spirituality, positive thinking and healthy eating. And when I read about the women in this book - about the ones that thought a smoothie would solve their problems - even though they hated the taste and the ingredients were absolutely overpriced. And the ones who organized yoga sessions, but only thought about themselves. I felt with the characters.
The only thing I absolutely hated but was the terrible slow pacing.
It drove me crazy and I lost my interest a couple of times.

Brilliant! The follow up to the Mummy Bloggers, three women who all blogged their parenting updates, this is the story of after the awards ceremony and follows the lives of Elle and Abi again, as well as new mum Frances who follows Elle’s blog like a bible. A really funny and enjoyable read. Can wait to see if theres a further book in the series.

I had so much fun reading The Mummy Bloggers earlier this year so I was really excited to get my hands on the follow-up, How To Be Perfect. It was as enjoyable as it’s predecessor and I loved jumping back into the crazy world of these characters. How To Be Perfect catches up with what Elle has been doing since the events of The Mummy Bloggers and I was pleased to find out she is up to her usual tricks of obsessively curating her online persona into an airbrushed and totally unrealistic version of herself. We also find out where Abi and her family are in their lives and how Elle and Abi are still somewhat tied to one another despite their mutual loathing. There is also a new character added to the mix, Frances, a new mother who hero-worships Elle and desperately tries to emulate her insane version of how to live perfectly. I liked the introduction of another mum, it kept things fresh and I found her story really interesting to follow as she becomes involved in the lives of Elle and Abi.

This is a funny and sometimes ludicrous book which shows how much influence a person can have simply by faking it online. There are many crazy antics along the way but How To Be Perfect also demonstrates the damage that can be done when vulnerable people are taken in by a ‘perfect’ instagram feed and beat themselves up for being unable to attain the unattainable. It’s an important issue in the world we live in where you often see only what has been edited and sometimes what has been totally made up on the online platform of someone with influence. Despite this serious aspect of the book, the author knows when to find the biting humour and when to find the warmth in the events of this story which makes it an enjoyable and sometimes quite touching read.
