I think this is the first MC romance I've enjoyed, though I'll be honest, I could not tell you much of what was going on during it! The plot? Bananas and dramatic. The steam? Definitely there, but I really thought there would more of it. This is the third book in the series, though I read it as a standalone, so that could be why I spent most of the book a bit confused but still rolling with it. I'm surprised at how well this worked for me, so I have a feeling people who enjoy MC and dark romances will definitely enjoy this one!

The men of the Red Dragon MC get hotter and hotter with each book the author releases. I swear, Archer will melt your socks off! In this 3rd installment of the Red Dragon series, we get to spend more time with Archer and Emily, the sister of Archer's BFF (and Book 1 bad boy) Niyol. Emily has been through the ringer with her ex and is tired of being under the club's thumb. Archer is tasked with protecting Emily while the club continues to search for the men who are out to destroy them. Adventure and drama ensues and eventually Archer and Emily find themselves handcuffed together so Archer can drag her back to the club's compound. I'm sure you all can guess how FANTASTIC the slow burn between these two is but let me just tell you...it's so so so so good!! Honestly, I couldn't put the book down because I just HAD to know what was going to happen with every turn of the page. It's emotional, it's dramatic, it's romantic in its own way. Warning - I fell for Archer hard and quick, so be ready!

Heather Van Fleet is doing what she does best and writing steamy and dreamy MC.
Archer and Emily, are the perfect addition to this series.
Emily, has a plan , she is going to go get her mom who she believes to be in trouble. The MC she wants nothing to do with after seeing what it has done to her mother and friends. Determined, to slip away in the night unnoticed, only to be surprised by a MC brother threatening to let her secret out. She has been communicating with her mother and has an idea where the clubs #1 enemy is.
Archer is not a fan of Emily, her disdain for the club and her treatment of his brothers annoys Archer to no end. Tasked with the job of keeping an eye on Emily is not something he ways at all, but for his club and brother he will do anything. Knowing Emily is up to something Archer is focused on finding out what she is up to.
This leads to a cross country trip that is full of adventure and emotions.
This is book 3 in the series and it is full of steamy scenes and tenter moments. The bond Emily and Archer establish against the odds and against the wishes of the club , lead to a fast paced read that will keep you entertained .

This is the first book that I read from the series. There are a few things that are mentioned that I assume are from the previous books but it could be read as a standalone. So the first half of the book was for me not too interesting. Archer was a man-dog, Emily weak and I was not impressed at all. But as the story developed and Archer and Emily start going from enemy to something more. The story is full of surprises and unexpected events and had its funny moments. It is good to see how Archer developed serious feelings toward Emily. All the drama develops and Red Dragon MC has one enemy less.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

The war with Pops continues to be the main backdrop in this author’s Red Dragon MC series. This time up, it’s Archer and Emily, and the sparks fly (this is something the author is particularly good at conveying). I liked reading how Emily’s part in the war morphed, and I enjoyed watching her test Archer’s gruff exterior. I always look forward to each installment of this series and hope there are more to come. Heather Van Fleet has done it once again!

Her Hot Ride is a one of a kind MC romance. If you like swoony males with a chip on there shoulders and some serious alpha pride, you'll love the VP of the Red Dragon MC, Archer!

It should come to no surprise that I am obsessed with Motorcycle Club romances. There's something about a bad boy with a rough exterior finding his better half and watching him fall hopelessly in love. I love everything about this premise and in my mind it never gets old. I love the level of fragility that comes with this sub genre and the level of swoon that authors bring to the pages. There's no doubt about it that MC romances are my top go to reads.

Oh my heart! I went into Her Hot Ride expecting to like it, but holy hell I wasn't expecting to love the hell out of this one. Archer Benedict stole my heart with his bad boy ways and his Irish Charm! I honestly couldn't get enough of this man. I was so sad when this novel ended.

Heather Van Fleet brings even more to the table with Emily and Archer's story. Archer is the VP or the Red Dragon Motorcycle Club. This man has a chip not only on his shoulder but also in his heart. At a young age his mother was murdered and his father turned to the bottle. He found solace within a brotherhood and thus became a member of the RDMC.

After past indiscretions from her mother, Emily is a person that isn't easily trusted within the club. It doesn't matter that one of the club members is her flesh and blood brother. So with all the accusing glances and glares, Emily tends to stay away from the clubhouse and stick to herself. But now that their is a threat on the club's head, Emily's brother has issued a watcher to keep an eye on Emily. That watcher being none other than the VP of the club, Archer.

I loved the attraction between Archer and Emily. These two have some serious magnetic chemistry. Chemistry that at times could have easily lit my kindle on fire! Those sexy time scenes had me needing to set my kindle to the side to step outside for a bit of fresh air. These two are SEXY AS SIN!!

There's no denying the fact that Her Hot Ride is my new favorite novel in this series. Everything about this novel had me on the edge of my seat. It's a page turner with so many different levels to it. Each chapter brought a new vibe. I felt every emotion while reading this book. There were so many twists and turns, it was hard to find solid ground! But that ending!!! Holy hell Archer definitely stole my heart with his actions and that ending!

Overall, Her Hot Ride was a great addition to the Red Dragon MC Series. I loved the characters, the chemistry, the highs, and the lows. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Emily and Archer yet... There story was so much fun to read. I can't wait to see what HVF has up her sleeve next!!! I need more RDMC!!!

I'm obsessed with this series and having read the previous books I was so so excited to get my hands on this. Heather did not disappoint. As fantastic as ever. Exciting, steamy and engaging. The chemistry between Archer and Emily burns off the page. The ending perfectly ties everything up. The only bad thing is that there isn't enough! I can't get enough of Heather's writing!

Archer was not my favorite character when he was first introduced in this series and I really didn't like him at the beginning of this book, but after reading his story, I understand him better and actually like him! This is the third standalone book in the Red Dragons series but I think reading them all in order will give you a better understanding of the life these guys lead. Emily wasn't my favorite character either, but all in all, this was a good read and I'm glad I read the entire series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

This is the story of Archer. He is now to babysit Emily who is Niyol's sister. Emily from the first book has lost her fiancé which really is not a big deal but to her it is. She also has lost her mother who took off with her father who is the one after everyone in the club. She has been receiving letters from her for months but has not told anyone.
One night when there is an explosion, she receives another one with instructions to meet. Leaving that night, she thinks she has gotten away only to be found by Archer. Instead of taking her back he decides to take her where she is to go and to put an end to all of this once and for all.
What ends up happening is a face-paced exciting story that has many twists and turns and not just between the two of them. Archer finds out a lot from his past which started in Ireland and you really get a good story with him. Emily is faced with reality as well only in a different direction and she also sees that she really belongs to Archer, not that prick she thought she should have married in book one. Overall this was an outstanding book really enjoyed it and all of the characters.

1st book I've read by Ms. Van Fleet and it will not be the last. Hot and delicious story. I really enjoyed it and liked the plot.

I was very excited that this was a stand alone but sadly once I actually started this story I found that I wasn't enjoying it. Shortly into the story I found myself falling asleep. It was very stereotypical of biker stories where the MC is obsessed with is bike more than anything else. A lot of the story felt unrealistic and I should have just given up on it. I do not think that I will try the other stories in this series at all.

Go Into This One Knowing: boring, unrealistic

Emily's father and mother used to be a part of Archer's MC but ended up betraying the club, so now they have a price on their head if found. Emily found out that her mother was in danger and decided to go to her. Archer, her brother's best friend discovered what Emily is up to and goes after her, his reasons being totally different. In order to keep her close, he hand cuffs them together, which doesn't make either of them happy.

Now this closeness has them realizing an attraction but how can this be when they don't even like one another?
Can Emily save her mom? Will Archer get to her father and right a wrong?

I have to admit that this book didn't grab me right away but did get better as it went along.. The ending really did tie everything together nicely and had plenty of twists and turns. Because of the ending, I would recommend it.

Archer had a constant need to rise early. He lived to capture the day ahead. He had tasks to be dealt with, brothers to keep in check, things to get in order for the club. Good ADHD did a number not only on his mental state but his ability to keep women in his bed but no longer than a month -sometimes less than that. There was nothing wrong with women but most were groupies. Most groupies were predictable always wanting forever with a biker who wasn’t looking for more than a good time. Archer never kissed a woman on the mouth. Archer was V P of the red Dragons MC and should have taken time to know the new guys more. They were at war. There had been no deaths since February, for dour momths now, nut he knew there were enemies out there, ready to pounce at any given second- to remain DREFCON Soldiers ath the ready, His brothers weren’t stupid. Now were they lazy.Butthey’de grown weak lately mainly because they weren’t on guard as much as they should be, mainly because of the women in their lives. This worried Archer. But for now they agreed to do nothing and it was driving Archer crazy. More than anyone, he wanted to find their enemy- Pops- thrie former president and end this before it all got worse and before anyone else died. Archer would have killed to run his own shop one day. But time was money in his world and he barely had either of those at the moment which was the way it was all or nothing but a dream for now. Hawk was his best friend and Hawk’s woman was Summer who was pregnant. Hawk was Pop’s son and Emily was his daughter and Hawks sister. Emily had been acting weird lately. Emily had made a life for herself outside of the club. But then her life imploded. Hawk asked Archie to watch her for six weeks. He wanted Archie to watch her, read her, keep her occupied. Than hopefully they’d have Pops taken care of and Emily would be free to leave. Archer countered with two weeks. Than hawk said four weeks was the lowest he would go. Archer said fine but Hawk owed him. Emily was anxious and restless. She would leave this place…. Even though she hadn’t a clue how. Emily thought what she wouldn’t give to go back to her old life. The life she had begun to build with Sam- her ex fiance - It wasn’t that she missed Sam as a person. More that she missed the stable world they’de built together. Than her life had gone to hell and Emily basically had to start over. She broke up with Sam over the trouble that seemed to come at her in the form of her family. Emily was a middle school science teacher. . her mother had taken off with Pops . She had gotten eleven letters ten to her P O box than one at work. If her brother or any of the Red Dragons found them - found out she’d been communicating with the enemy., she was pretty sure they’d off her. The calm before the storm, that is what it felt like to Emily now. No matter what happened, Emily had to go find her mom and get her away from Pops once and for all. Any time this week a letter would show up, this time with directions when it did, she had her bag packed and ready to go. After that she’d get them both away from the MC life altogether. If the Red Dragons found her mom they would consider her a traitor for going with Pops and kill her. That’s why Emily had to find her first. Emily knew Archer was very social… it grated on her nerves a bit because she didn’t have a clue as to why he wanted her there. It was obvious Eily wasn’t a welcomed guest and she was pretty sure it was because of her mom. Emily finally gets her letter and finally gets her chance to find her mom. But before she got far Archer found her and handcuffed her to him. Then they set off to find Pops.
I enjoyed this story a lot. It I found this to be an easy read. I loved Archer and Emily together. They had hot chemistry. I liked that Emily and Archers romance took time to build. I really liked Hawk and Archers friendship. I advise you to read this series in order for a smoother and more knowledgeable read. I liked the suspense and danger in this book. I didn’t want to put it down. I really enjoyed the pace and the plot. I really liked that emily stood by her mom. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it.

I enjoyed this, it’s a fast paced read full of chemistry, not so keen on Emily, havent been in previous books and not much changed here, still loved Archer though . It was a bit slow to start but the end is great and made me glad I stuck with it, but we get to see Niyol and Summer again too. Entertaining read but thought previous books were slightly better.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

This is the third book in the series, and I have been waiting for Archers story since the very beginning. I have to say that I hate the manwhore bits but it is an MC book and I have to be realistic about it. I didn't like Emily, not since the very first book, I hated how she treated her brothers and the MC when they were protecting her and her supposed best friend. I get that you are confused and hurt but take a chill pill and grow the hell up. So I like Archer and the others and had it not been for them I would not have enjoyed this book because she annoyed the hell out of me. All in all I did continue and was happy I did because I got to know what happened with the rest of the crew...

Damn i love this series so much! Every book seems to get better and better everytime!
I absolutely loved Archer, he kinda reminded me of myself since he was so witty and took nothing seriously, always quick to have a joke at some inappropriate times.
Emily i liked too! At first i pegged her wrong i thought she was stuck up but the more you get to know her she has her reasons for what she does.
I loved seeing Niyol and Summer again and Slade! I always love seeing previous characters to see how their getting on after their book is finished!
I look forward to seeing if we'll get more books! I'd love to see more of Archer and Emily even if it is just in passing!

Book three in the Red Dragon MC, Her Hot Ride, is Archer and Emily's story. A well delivered story, with intrigue, twist and turn and dynamic characters. I really enjoyed this one and am sure you will too

So this one started off strong for me. And then it got kinda boring for me. But I pushed through and kept reading. And somewhere around 60%, I got back into the story.
I greatly enjoyed the ending!
And the beginning.
Overall, I’m going to give this one 3.75 for the middle of the book.

HER HOT RIDE is the third instalment in Heather Van Fleet’s contemporary, adult RED DRAGON MC erotic, MC romance series focusing on the Red Dragon MC. This is Red Dragon MC vice president Archer Benedict, and middle school science teacher Emily Lincoln’s story line. HER HOT RIDE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory as it pertains to Emily, and her connection to the Red Dragon MC.

NOTE: HER HOT RIDE contains scenes of violence that may not be suitable for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives ( Emily and Archer) HER HOT RIDE follows the acrimonious relationship between Red Dragon MC vice president Archer Benedict, and middle school science teacher Emily Lincoln. Emily Lincoln is the sister of Red Dragon member Niyol ‘Hawk’ Lattimore, and daughter of former Red Dragon gone rogue Charles Lattimore and Lisa Lincoln but Emily’s life is in danger, and the Red Dragon MC is reluctantly protecting Emily in the face of Charles and Lisa’s betrayal. Her only option is to escape but Emily finds herself on the run with club VP Archer Benedict, as she battles between head and heart hoping to rescue her mother from her father’s wrath. What ensues is the cross country journey and building relationship between Emily and Archer, and the potential fall-out as betrayal and lies threaten to destroy Emily and everyone she loves.

Archer Benedict doesn’t do relationships and struggles with his attraction to a woman who despises everything about the MC lifestyle but Emily Lincoln is considered an enemy and a threat since the disappearance and betrayal of her mother Lisa Lincoln. Emily has been blinded by her mother’s desperate attempts to bring together their dysfunctional family. Believing her mother is trapped in an abusive relationship, Emily makes it her mission to rescue a woman who doesn’t want to be rescued, at all. But for all intents and purposes, Emily is a little bit TSTL (too stupid to live) knowing she is placing herself and everyone in danger in an effort to rescue a woman who has betrayed everyone she knows.

The relationship between Archer and Emily is tempestuous and acerbic. Archer is constantly making digs and sexual innuendo yet battles his attraction to a woman who is hoping for something more. Emily knows that to get involved with a member of the Red Dragon’s MC mean her life will no longer be her own but life on the run with Archer Benedict has opened her eyes to the possibility of her own happily ever after. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.

We are reintroduced to Summer Parks, and Niyol ‘Hawk’ Lattimore (Her Wild Ride #1), Sebastian ‘Slade’ Lattimore, and tattoo artist Maya Davenport (Her Rough Ride #2); Lisa Lincoln and Charles ‘Pops’ Lattimore, as well as Red Dragon Members Flick, Chop, and the introduction of Angel and Anne.

The world building continues to focus on the dangerous and destructive life of the Red Dragon MC. Secrets and lies, betrayal and revenge are but a small part daily their daily struggles not including rivals MC, or threats from other sources.

HER HOT RIDE is a story of family and blood; betrayal and vengeance; acceptance and love. The character driven premise is raw and gritty; the characters are energetic and colorful; the romance is hot, spicy and heavy. HER HOT RIDE is an engaging and gripping look inside the lives of the Red Dragon MC.

Her Hot Ride is the third book in Heather Van Fleet's Red Dragon MC series, but it's the first book in the series that I've read and the first book I've read by this author, and while I eventually figured out some of the complicated relationships and history of the primary and secondary characters, I wish I'd read the first two books in the series before requesting an advance reader copy of this one. While it can be read as a standalone, I don't recommend it. I became addicted to MC romances a couple of years ago and must say that of those I read, this one was the most graphically violent by far, and while it was well-written, I found the hero very hard to like throughout most of this novel, and for those reasons it gets only 3 stars from this reader.

The hero, Archer, is VP of the Red Dragons MC, and I disliked him almost immediately, primarily because of his sexual proclivities, never with a woman for more than one month (referred to as "his monthlies"), and the fact that he doesn't kiss on the lips, something stolen right out of the movie, "Pretty Woman." As the novel opens, Archer is in bed with one of his women, and he he's not even sure of her name, or the names of the prospects working toward membership in the club. Told in alternating narration, the first 75% of this novel doesn't paint Archer as kind, thoughtful, or caring about much of anything but his bike, his MC brothers, women, sex, and whiskey.

It was easier to like Emily, the heroine, who isn't with the Red Dragons by choice. Her father, known as Pops, has broken away from the club, taking Emily's mother with him, and there's plenty of ill will on both sides, which are now at war and waiting for a major confrontation. Having not read the first 2 novels, I had no clue why Pops broke away from the Red Dragons, or why Emily is still with them, but it's clear that it's not her choice, nor is the fact that she always has a club member trailing her any time she leaves the club compound. She teaches science at a nearby middle school, but as things heat up later in the novel, it's a job she won't have for long. She's been ill treated by one club member, Chop, but Archer is the only one who seems concerned about what Chop did to her, and Emily isn't talking about it. All she wants is to find her mother, saving up and planning her getaway, after secretly receiving and hiding letters from her mom, who we eventually learn is in Kentucky with Pops, and Pops is supposedly building a rogue army to turn on and take down the Red Dragons and return to his former role as their leader.

When Emily eventually makes her getaway, Archer finds her, handcuffs her to him, and is soon helping her to get to her her mom. What Emily doesn't know is that Archer plans to kill Pops when he gets there, even if it costs him his life. The two meet obstacle after obstacle en route, and the attraction between them builds slowly, but although she's strongly attracted to Archer, getting involved with an MC member is the last thing Emily seems to want, or is it?

I won't go into detail about what happens once they arrive in Kentucky since I don't do spoilers, but there are more than few surprises to come, and not quite understanding why Emily's mom made the choices she made didn't help me understand the relationship between her and Pops. I will, however, warn you that if senseless and graphic violence, sexual and emotional abuse are triggers for you, I'd suggest reading a kinder, gentler MC romance series, like The Deacons of Bourbon Street, for example. Although I did slowly come to like and appreciate Archer, and root for his relationship with Emily, it was hard going for the last third of this novel, and I didn't find the HEA ending all that happy or satisfying.

As stated, I read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.
