A lovely book, following the journey of Laura to stardom, and following her dreams. Told using a lovely style with some very funny moments juxtaposed with some crushingly sad moments.

This book is a journey of grief but also hope.
It is funny but also packed full of family drama
It has interesting characters.

Quiet Humour Abounds....
Quiet humour abounds in this rather delightful and sometimes emotional tale of Laura Cassidy and her search for a path in life. Nicely written, gentle fiction providing some often much needed escapism.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

A really great comic novel - shot through with recognisable (and more unusual) moments that just make you laugh out loud. I loved the writing style and the easy comfortable approach to story telling. I felt like I'd met Laura among the stage mad folk I know! Brilliant stuff. More please!

Laura’s movie-obsessed father always told her that she was destined for fame. And Laura will do whatever is necessary to see his, and her own dream realised.

I loved this book. A journey of grief, desperation and hope. It is funny, poignant and packed with familial tension, drama and yearning. You’ll follow Laura’s walk of fame through the streets of Galway long after you’ve turned the last page.

It's an engrossing, entertaining and well written story.
It made me laugh and I loved the characters and the setting.
The writer is an excellent storyteller and the plot kept me hooked.
Highly recommended.
