I thought this was going to be a good book but I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't horrible but it just didn't grab my attention like I had expected it too. There wasn't any jaw dropping twist line I expected.

A good read but felt that some events that happened were a bit too coincidental just to make the story work. Easy to read though and kept me entertained as I did want to keep on reading when I had finished one chapter and go straight onto the next.

This book was a bit strange. The title makes you think what you think the book is actually about. But it has nothing to do with it. I found the book to be a bit disjointed and over the place.

Sadly this book just didn't work for me. I didn't like the style of writing and couldn't warm to any of the characters.

I will never look at Ireland in the same way...

The woman at no 13 is brilliant. A masterpiece where you can take a deeper look at what exactly is going on not in the cities, but the small villages of Ireland.

Of course, I know, it is just fiction, a vision of what would happen and it is nothing close to reality, but it makes me wonder what we see and what we do not want to see in other people.

This story contains many difficult matters to discuss. On one side, there is a conservative society with strict rules, on the second hand, people are more aware and with a different point of view, values, origin. These differences only make this book more complex and intriguing at the same time.

I love it. It has everything what I was looking for in the thriller. Mystery, murder, old histories and new beginnings for some of them. All these wraped in the nice-written box and here we go - a perfect gift for the readers!

A young girl has been murdered and mutilated. Her.body is discovered by the village MD who becomes the prime suspect. C.K. Williams has the.bones of a good story but I found this book tried to cover too many topics with too many characters. I didn’t find any of the characters especially likable and in the end I really didn’t care who the murderer was. Perhaps it was not the right book for me. I thank NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Not for me. I struggled with it and did not finish.. Neither of the two main characters grabbed me and I found I just didn't care about them or the murder.

Gosh! What an intense, mind-blowing, nerve-wracking and completely engrossing psychological thriller! It had been a long time since I read a nail-biting thriller of this kind. Phew! Blew my mind!

I was hooked on to the story from the start and could not put it down until the end. The character portrayal is excellent and the storytelling is simple Fantastic! Dark, intense and gripping, The Woman at No. 13 by C.K Williams is a must read book for every psychological thriller fan.

The Woman at No. 13 was a decent thriller. It’s based is Northern Ireland and I didn’t realize that religion and politics would be such a major focus of the story.

Our main character, Jannis, has flown to small town Northern Ireland after his old friend, Kate, is questioned by the police after the murder of a 17-year-old local girl. Kate is her family physician and was the one who found the victim’s body.

From there, Jannis and Kate do their best to become detectives to save Kate’s name and reputation. But they don’t realize how inclusive this small town is and how much the residents will band together against them.

The story felt a little disjointed but it was an easy read. I thought it was interesting how politics, religion, and cultural history were so integral to the story.

The Woman at No. 13 was an easy and quick read but I was slightly let down by the ending.

This turned out to have some really good twists in it but I felt it was somewhat convoluted and drawn out longer than it should have been. Still an enjoyable read that kept me intrigued

A fabulously fast-paced thriller with all the twists that I love in this genre. Great characterisation and a plot that kept me guessing right until the end. I loved it!

Quite different from your average thriller, this explores sexuality, Catholicism, abortion and more but remains a gripping story of a young girl murdered and the wrong person being accused. I really enjoyed it, liked the narrator and the Irish setting, a good read.

The Women at No 13 is not all what I expected but that did not stop me from getting lost in the story and following the twists and turns

Kate a doctor in a small village is the prime suspect in a murder of her young patient.

Kate calls for back up from the one friend she can count on; Jannis a friend of 19 years.

There are many twists and turns as Kate, Jannis and Father Daniel as they strive to solve find the culprit.

I found the title a bit misleading but that did not take away from the overall story.

This was my first book by C.K. Williams but it won't be my last.

When we first meet her, local GP Kate O' Leary has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a teenage girl whose body has been found in horrific circumstances. Whilst Kate protests her innocence there are people in the small Irish village of Annacairn who assume that she is guilty and set about trying to prove it. With limited friends Kate is at the mercy of a group of vigilantes who are determined to wreck revenge.

With wide ranging themes covering abortion, LGBTQ, loneliness, and fatal attraction there is more than enough to keep in the story bubbling along although there were times when I felt the dialogue was a little bit awkward and I had to suspend belief on more than one occasion, but hey, this is fiction and overall the book kept my attention.

The Woman at No.13 is a suspenseful thriller with an array of characters who, whilst largely unlikable, do give the story a dark and, quite sinister, edginess.

Whoa! The Woman at No, 13 was soooo good!! I could not put it down! Great writing, thrilling story line and a ton of suspects that will keep you guessing. Twist after twist to keep you glued to this book. Highly recommend!
