I love that this story was set on a sheep farm. While there was a lot of information on sheep, it was really interesting to learn about!

I really enjoyed this book. A romance and lots of farm/ranch life. Margaret and Erin are friends who decide to become Sheep ranchers. After much research they determine that sheep require less hard work than crops or cattle. Both are close to 40 and aren't searching for romance but they find it. A nice story for readers of all ages. I like the idea of older people still finding romance. This appears to be book 1 of a series. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The book is about two women, Erin and Margaret, who set out to become sheep farmers. Throughout their day-to-day interactions with "the girls" (as they fondly call their sheep, men begin to enter their lives, who are drawn to these women and the strength they show in learning how to take care of their sheep and build a successful business. Will each of these women be open to the opportunity of romance when it comes to their doorstep? Overall, the book was very good. The writing style was a little different from what I am used to and was a little put off by it at the beginning, but as I moved through the book, I began to hear the voice of Erin as she was sharing their day-to-day encounters with the sheep as well as the men, who helped complete the farm work right along side them. I liked the friendship Erin and Margaret had. The reader can tell there is a lot of strength and reliance each of the characters had for each other. I found myself beginning to feel as if the sheep were really characters in the book with their own parts to add. The detail the author adds to the story were well done, but at times, overwhelming and allowed to story to move at a slower pace. The romance was very believable and realistic for both couples. I did not feel that the attraction was instant love, but felt it developed at a healthy speed. Overall, I would like to read more by this author and would recommend this book to those who have a love of animals!

Ewe-Turn by Lyn O'Keefe is a sheep farmer’s story who started the venture after many years of living in the city. Margaret and Erin exhibit the kind of determined spirit that the pioneer women of the US also must have had. The kind of characters that I enjoy getting to know. Within all this sheep farming they find the unexpected which I kept reading to discover too.

As they learn about sheep care so does the reader. Tis is the only downside for me. While I loved the women’s go-get-themness it was an awful lot about sheep. I remember thinking this is like Moby Dick which while reading I learned more about whale hunting then I cared to know only this time it was about sheep raising. As for the women and their story I loved it.

Five Stars for Margaret and Erin minus one star for overabundance of the sheep technical stuff. An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
