I liked this book. Sadie moves to San Diego to be closer to her son who is already in college. The weekend that she moves in some of her son's friends help and one guy who is a little older than her son is attracted to her. Gavin begins to make himself present more often and works at wanting to date her, they need to out some issues between the two of them both of them have problems. My only downfall is that this is 1 of 4 and I just read the first book. Liked the characters though.

First read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I do recommend it, sound it sexy, hot and steamy. Loved the writing style and the way she wrote the story line and the characters as well as how the characters developed over the story

I almost didn't make it through this one. In fact, I already quit and wrote a review, but then came back to it and finished. The age thing didn't weird me out as much as I thought it might, but I mostly didn't like how Gavin is jealous and rude to every guy that Sadie knows. It seems like he overreacts to everything. I don't know if that's supposed to be an example of how young he is or if that's just a character trait, but I didn't like it. Then, I got to the end and it's a complete cliff-hanger. No end to the story. Not satisfying at all and I really didn't like it enough to keep reading a second book about these characters.

I loved the smut, I adore Sadie and I enjoyed the turn of events within the story. However, the reason I can't give this a higher rating is Gavin. He is insufferable. I couldn't handle the fact that he is so possessive and jealous. Worse yet, Sadie and Gavin NEVER ever talk. Where was the communication? Gavin would lose it over something so miniscule, one of them would apologise and then Sadie would accept it as is and then go on as if nothing is wrong.

Eventually, Gavin's jealousy became a vicious circle that quickly grew tiresome for me. If they just communicated about their past hurts and weaknesses on a deeper level then maybe I would have gained more compassion for Gavin. But since it was just surface level and there was NO adult conversation, I could not fully get on board with this. It was cute in the beginning but then just became a tirade of eye rolls the more Gavin's jealousy took centre stage.

A steamy sexy smoking hot romantic book. Great characters that I could understand and relate to. A sexy taboo romance. I fell in love with the characters.

Thank you NetGalley for the digital ARC. I have mixed feeling about this book as I have a young son and could not imagine seeing one of his friends but to each his own. If you want lots of sex scenes this book is for you.

I enjoyed reading Incidental Cougar. It felt like it was a drag in the beginning and I didn't like Gavin and his possessivenes but I could say Sadie and Gavin grew on me and I understood Gavin's behaviour after learning about his parents.
In terms of plot development, i give this book a 3/5, i felt like the book was about sex alone (its erotica, i know) but I felt like there had to be other connections between the characters but as the book continued, i realised it was just what the characters "needed". i hated Sadie's indecision but I see as typical human behaviour and it was good that the author portrayed this theme in this book.
I didn't like I ended as a cliffhanger but I guess that's why it is series. (I actually didn't know this until I reached the end and read the cliffhanger)
I still don't like Grant. He wasn't really there for his mother. While he represents most teenagers, he could have done better.
Good work, Summer Leigh.

I thought that this was such a good story!!

It was a very easy book to read and the author had a really great flow to the story too.

The characters all worked well together with the story and the plot and I found it to be a really addictive read!

It is 5 stars from me for this one!! Very highly recommended!!

Unfortunately I was having some technical difficulties with NetGalley and was not able to download for a review. It did seem to be very interesting and sad I missed the opportunity. I look forward to review new books from this publisher.

Sadie had her son, Grant, as a teenage mother and devoted the rest of her life to bringing him up but now he’s at college he’s doing his own thing. Grant brings a couple of his classmates round one day and that’s when she met Gavin who was instantly attracted to Sadie. She tries to resist the attraction between then due to their age difference, but he wears her down. I found the story quite repetitive, lots of jealousy from Gavin and angst from Sadie interspersed with lots of ‘mature scenes’. Wish I had noticed it was 1 of 4 definitely would have given up earlier. Instead I persevered to the end which was a cliff-hanger. Definitely can’t face the other three books.

Fast paced romance between single mom Sadie and Gavin. They fight their feelings for each other before descending into a passionate affair. The storyline draws you in as you root for the lovers. This is book one of four so beware.

Oh dear. The synopsis drew me in. I've read a couple of really well-written stories where the hero was younger than the heroine and really loved the way those writers handled the 'cougar' aspect. Sadly from the very first page, this one totally disappointed me.

There was never anything convincing about the attraction on either side. I needed to feel that urgent irresistibility between h/H for the relationship to make sense but it never happened. The sex scenes were mechanical and unsatisfactory.

I found the book to be badly written in comparison with the many excellent books I've read this year. It was amateur, clumsy, repetitive, over-long and ultimately boring. I ended up skim=reading it and almost giving up. The prose was really clunky and badly edited.

I hate to be so negative but sadly this was one of the worst books I have read this year. I think a ruthless editor might help this writer mine some good stuff out of this one.

The heroine never became real for me and her attraction to the youthful hero was inexplicable. He came across as juvenile. Sweet, but juvenile. Caring, but juvenile. He was also smug, controlling and yes - juvenile.

In other books, the younger hero had something special which explained why the older heroine fell for him. It didn't happen here for me. The constant use of the F word jarred. I started counting at one point and there so many on just one page that I had to stop. I'm not worried about swearing but it has to have a purpose. This simply was a continuous illustration of his poor language skills - using "f........g" because he was still essentially an adolescent who couldn't find any other words to use. It became utterly tedious. Sorry to be so harsh.

This is a good debut book by Summer Leigh. Good storyline. I liked how Sadie was a mom early in life, but still succeeded and became a nurse. Gavin, a college senior; hot and younger. My favorite time in the story that involves Gavin was when he first saw Sadie. He was confident in the fact he was flirting with an older woman and knew he could get her. That changed, he was insecure, obsessive, whinny; at times tried to be an alpha. Sadie, was definitely the alpha in this story. I would read another book by this author, even though this one didn’t grab me totally.
