I read this book with my daughter who is 3 in July, she liked the images and really understood the story. She has been taught about sharing and is a loving child that will always go to give her toys to others, but she does know that this is not always the case for others.

I liked that the book emphasised this point and helped me explain that it may be that the other child doesn't know how or what it really means to share. I think it handled the topic well.

The images were lovely and bright and it is a great story featuring Bentley Hippo and his friends - 5 stars from me and I am looking forward to sharing more of the books in the series with my daughter - very highly recommended!

Delightful read for children of all ages.

This is a nice little book about sharing. Sharing and kindness are such important skills for children to learn, and are universally taught by caregivers. This book has sweet, simple drawings, with animals that are loved by young children. It would be appropriate for preschoolers and early grades, and a nice conversation/activity starter. Recommended!

This was an adorable story about Bentley the Hippo teaching Jaxon the Monkey how to share and making a new friend in the process. The illustrations were cute.

Bently the Hippo was a great addition to our library. It was an easy read for bedtime with a clean and relatable message. My 6 year old was able to quickly identify Jason's misguided behaviors. This lead to some wonderful discussions on acceptance, inclusion and how to be a good friend. Great vibrant illustrations with just enough detail to keep kids interested.
