Wow what a beautiful story about two people who fall in love. It is not a normal boy meets girl love story but how the characters develop over the book. This book made me laugh and cry all at the same time. There are lovely parts of the story that get your thinking about what you would do. The story is told over years from both character’s perspective of the situations that they come across. Would highly recommend this book.

A love story for the heartbroken. It was a slow burn, and I found it quite hard to get into. It was nice to see the perspective from both sides of the narrators.

I have been sitting on ny thoughts on this on for a while. I'm obviously in the minority with this one but I just couldn't get into it. I found it so depressing and not quite the story I thought it was going to be. It unfortunately just wasn't my cup of tea. It won't put me off trying something else by this author.

You'll definitely be needing the issues for this one.
It will break your heart and put it back together again. I cannot wait for book two!!!

I was intrigued by the premise of this book, and found it be a well written fluffy love story but in a different wrapper. I did enjoy the slow burn of it and in places I was fully immersed in the story of Joel and Callie.

It brought up the question of whether you would fall in love if you already knew how it would end, and I came to the conclusion that Yes I Would. Surely the chance of some happiness is better than a life lived alone without love.

A brilliant ending, and on the whole I did enjoy this unusual story and it filled me with hope.

This book is an emotional ride which tugs at the heartstrings and makes you think about the paths that we take in life.

Serious and brooding vet Joel and bright and breezy nature lover Callie are meant to be together. They keep bumping into each other, she unknowingly moves in upstairs from him, and soon they find themselves spending more and more time together. They are undeniably two halves of a double act that complement each other and neither knows how they lived without the other.

As they get closer though, something is weighing on Joel. It’s a secret that he’s carried with him since his childhood, and revealing it to Callie could change everything between them. But hiding it isn’t going to work either. He has stopped himself from falling in love because of his prophetic dreams. He dreads finding out bad news about his loved ones so has always tried not to get too close. However Callie proves too magnetic to ignore. What will Joel do when his dreams tell him the worst?

This book deals with lost loves, regrets, grabbing life by the horns, doing the right thing, and falling unapologetically in love.

A contemporary romance with a touch of fantasy, this is a weepy read to accompany winter nights on the sofa with a warm blanket and all your favourite snacks close to hand!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for letting me access an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

This was a completely different love story to those I have read before. I related this a lot to Joseph and the technicolour dream coat, as he is able to preconceive dreams and see the future just like the main character in this story. I would happily read this all over again, although tissues will be needed! I gave this one five stars.

This is a beautiful and moving novel that follows Callie as she tries to find a way through the grief of losing her best friend, and Joel who can’t allow himself to fall in love. When they meet there is an instant connection but both are wary for their own reasons. It turns out that Joel has premonition dreams and he can’t bear to fall in love with someone and risk dreaming about what might happen to them. I really enjoyed following Joel and Callie and felt invested in their relationship. The novel is a tear jerker but it’s also life-affirming and I recommend it!

3.5 stars - Review may contain spoilers

An emotional debut asking the question ‘what would you do if you knew what would happen to the ones you love?’

Joel experiences premonitions, and vows to avoid falling in love. But he can’t resist falling for Callie.

I loved the unfolding of Callie and Joel’s relationship; the tentative nature of them both, the way they fell in love so deeply, and the heartache of Joel’s discovery. Miller’s writing on falling in love and heartbreak is wonderful, and it made me reflect on my own experiences. However, I felt that the final third was a bit rushed. There could have been more, and I think more was definitely needed at the ending.

Overall enjoyed it, and if you’re looking for an emotional romance this is definitely a read for you, however be prepared to have tissues on hand.

The sight of you by Holly Miller

A wonderfully written book of this genre with a twist that leaves you with a bit of a lump .

A bit slow to begin with stick with it well worth the effort.
