I really loved this book and have recommended it to everyone. I've even bought copies for friends who I think would enjoy it. It's such a different idea for a story and it completely captivated me from the start. It's a book I will return to again and again (sobbing every time!)

A predictable but fun read from Holly Miller. Incredibly moving and quite heartbreaking.
A great debut.

Wow. I am going to be bold and call this one of the most tragic love stories I've ever read. It is bittersweet, it is poignant, it is all the words that embody love, sacrifice and sadness.

I deliberately read this slowly because I wanted to devour each word, each sentence, each hurt that Joel and Callie felt. The writing is mesmerising and the characters felt so heartbreakingly real. The author balanced plot and character development perfectly and I truly felt like I was there with them, going through it all too.

I'm not ready to let go of this story yet so I've decided that it needs to be made into a movie and I'm already thinking about who would make up my cast.

I don't read romance books, however this book had me turning the pages all night. The routing for the couple at the start and then realising what was going to happen.

I can't say too much without giving the story away but the characters were all likeable and easy to picture in my mind. The end of the story had me tearing up, even though I knew what was coming.

Overall a brilliant story, told well with likeable characters. Would definitely recommend.

Many thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for this arc. After reading this I have rather conflicted views. On the one hand I loved the opening quarter of the novel and the last 25%, however on the other hand I found the middle really dragged and overall found the story predictable.

This follows Callie and Joel. Joel was a vet, but now he walks his ex-patients' dogs and spends his days sleep-deprived. Joel has a secret: he has dreams about of the futures of people he loves. Sometimes he can intervene and change things, but other times he can't; like when he dreamt his mum was diagnosed with cancer. As a result of this Joel has preferred to remain single, especially since he's had dreams about his girlfriends where they've cheated on him and has been conflicted on whether this is something that he can change or inevitable. Or other times he hasn't dreams at all because deep down he doesn't love them. Until he meets Callie...After some to-ing and fro-ing they finally get together and half an idyllic life but then Joel has a dream...He sees how Callie dies, and if Callie remains with him he'll be anxious about her impending death which will result in Callie not living a happy enough life, so is forced to make a difficult decision.

I adored the first 25% seeing Joel and Callie getting together. There was a lot of sweetness but it wasn't overt, and plenty of tension that had me gripped. Unfortunately the author then lingers a good 20% where we see the couple who are almost too be true and flawless for each other. They meet each other's family who love them and fall deeper in love, which is great for them however was mundane and boring for me. I think because the description tells us what's going to happen I was just waiting for the twist to happen and expected it would've come earlier. Then once Joel has made his decision we see how his and Callie's lives pans out and again I found this tedious. It was lacking in conflict, plot and pace. It was just seeing these characters going about their lives. The ending was heart-breaking, I admit, and the overall theme and message of the book is a good one. However the execution of the story didn't hit the mark for me. 3/5

I was thrilled to be approved for this ARC, as I’d seen so much hype surrounding it, but unfortunately, whilst I enjoyed it, it just didn’t wow me or reduce me to the tears that others have mentioned (and I’m a crier). In some ways, I feel like I didn’t engage with the characters as well as I have done with other novels, but I can’t work out why that was.

Whilst, I enjoyed the dual narrative (a big pull to a book for me), written in first person, it didn’t fully deliver, but that’s not to say I hated it because I didn’t. Yes, at times I felt it dragged, but the structural devices that indicated a shift in time helped with the pace and gave the story the anticipated, conclusive finish.

The premise of the story struck me as intriguing, interesting and as one with plenty of promise. However, I think it fell short for me. I really liked the idea of Joel being able to see into the future and how that was played out within the story, but I think I wanted more from them as characters and as a couple. I did like the way that Joel’s relationships with his family were presented and written because it showed the character that he is and the reasons for his behaviour and in some respect that transferred onto his relationship with Callie...but I just wanted more raw emotion.

Perhaps, I went into reading this novel with its hype in my mind and that has potentially clouded my appreciation of it.

As a story and a debut, it is worth visiting and I’m sure others reading it (with an open mind and no preconceived ideas) will fully appreciate the storytelling and characters.

It’s a 3.5 stars for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC, in exchange for an honest review.

When I first started this book my initial thought was, this isn’t for me. How wrong could I have been.! Beautifully written making me smile, laugh and cry. The book is thought provoking and overall a brilliant read.

Since Joel was a child he's been haunted by dreams about the people he loves. Visions of what's going to happen - the good and the bad.

Callie's been lost since her best friend died, . She knows she needs to be more spontaneous and live a bigger life, but she doesn't know how to fulfil her ambitions.

Though they're not looking for for love, from the moment Joel and Callie meet it feels like the start of something life-changing until Joel has a vision of how it's going to end.

This is a rather bittersweet story told from the view of both Joel and Callie and by the end had me shedding a small tear even though you know that Joel has predicted it.

I received this book from Netgalley in return for a honest review.

What a story, a happy, sad, lovely love story that will never leave you. Live life to the full, you never know when it will end.

This is the bittersweet story of Joel and Callie. They fall in love but they know there won't be a happy ending as Joel has dreamt of the future.

I found this book enjoyable overall but, at times, it did drag. I actually enjoyed the second part of the book a lot more even though Joel and Callie are apart. The ending was lovely.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a free e-copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Read this in a matter of days, got to the last 5 minutes and had to take a break. I didn't want it to end, but it did and now I'm crying my eyes out.

What a lovely story!

I liked all the characters within this but especially Joel and I enjoyed the story itself but it was just a nice story...not in a bad way though.

These are the reviews I do find the hardest as for me it was just....Good! It did make me tear up at one point though!

A great debut that deserves a read!

This was a completely different read for me and I loved it. The characters were likeable and brilliantly scripted. Definitely recommend

This is a beautifully written book but utterly heartbreaking. It certainly wasn’t the usual romantic love story. The characters are all strong and the reader was drawn into the story. It is not a book you will forget in a hurry!
I would recommend it to anyone

Loved this book. Every single bit of it. But oh how I do have a love/hate relationship with the ending! My heart broke for Jack and Callie when I put this book down.
The Sight of You takes you on an emotional rollercoaster.

I absolutely loved Jack and Callie - they take you on their own journey throughout the story but you never feel disconnected from one another. This is not your typical love story.

I cannot believe this is a debut novel for Holly Miller. We want more!

A happy/sad romance of love found and lost in difficult circumstances. I really enjoyed this book and wanted a happy ending but knew it was not going to happen-after all Joel had predicted an ending..

A heartbreakingly poignant story that captured your heart immediately. The characters were endearing, and the story line was so beautifully written, it made it hard to put this book down. Although it broke my heart a little, and I did shed some tears, I would recommend everyone reads this beautiful story. It will truly be a story that stays with me for a long time.

Not my usual genre but such a lovely read. This book is beautifully written, has characters that feel like old friends and is just heartbreaking. A total joy to read, even if I did sob at the ending

This was lovely! Heartbreakingly sad and moving a real love story. The seeing the futures side that could have been ridiculous was really well written, reminding me clearly of the time traveller’s wife. Loved it
