I’d heard so many good things about this book and I couldn’t wait to start it once it had downloaded onto my kindle.

The book starts gently and welcoming, you get to know Callie and Joel and fall in love with them both individually and as a couple. You can relate to them so much, the writing is truly beautiful and invites you in to read page after page.

As gentle as it starts, I knew going in that there was going to be a turning point, and of course that came, and yet I still wasn’t prepared for the emotions I went through from that part of the book through to the ending. I cry lots at the best of times when it comes to books that are emotionally charged, such as Rowan Coleman’s ‘The Memory Book’ or Jojo Moyes’ “Me Before You”, however this broke me completely. I was anxious that I wanted to know how it ended, but equally didn’t want it to end, both in enjoyment of the book and worried that it would be every bit as heart-breaking as the strap-line declares it to be. I was upset at the events in the book. I was touched at the very last page. I was basically a complete wreck, and yet I’d read it again in a heart beat.

This has been an incredibly short review, but it’s one of those books that you have to experience it for yourself, no words can do it justice. Beautifully written and once you get wrapped up in Joel and Callie’s lives, you won’t want to put it down.

This story starts with Joel. since he was a child he seems to have strange dreams that end up coming true. Because of this reason, he as never really got close to anyone and is a bit of a loner.

But soon he meets Callie. He tries not to fall for her, but he just can't help it. A lot of the book is told between Joel and Callie and how they meet and fall for each other and end up living together. I did found this dragged on a little bit and found it hard to pick the book up again once I had put it down.

The last part of the book was really good and I am glad I carried on with the book. The ending is brilliant and finshed really well. Had me in tears.

Overall a great book, but the first half is a bit slow. 3.5 stars for me.

Joel meets Callie a waitress at the local cafe while he is off work suffering from stress. One of the reasons Joel suffers stress is he dreams about people he knows and loves and he sees into the future and it's not always good dreams. Joel has not been close to anyone because of his dreams because he doesn't want to see into her future.Joel starts to open up and allows him to call in love. Will be tell Callie what he sees in her future. And will they survive it.
Great read
Thanks NetGalley

Joel is afraid of the future. Since he was a child he's been haunted by dreams about the people he loves. Visions of what's going to happen - the good and the bad. And the only way to prevent them is to never let anyone close to him again. Callie can't let go of the past. Since her best friend died, Callie's been lost. She knows she needs to be more spontaneous and live a bigger life. She just doesn't know how to find a way back to the person who used to have those dreams. Joel and Callie both need a reason to start living for today. And though they're not looking for each other, from the moment they meet it feels like the start of something life-changing. Until Joel has a vision of how it's going to end.

Get the tissues ready - I do not think it will be a surprise to learn this read is very emotional and heart-breaking. What did surprise me was how beautiful the read was and offers such a perfect depiction of love. I fell in love with the characters instantly, they are so likeable and easy to get to know. Once I had taken the characters into my heart, reading their story was all the more emotional.

I did have to set realism aside throughout this, lets face it, this is not the most realistic plot. However, it is well written and crafted beautifully. It might not be realistic, but it is enjoyable, interesting and as I keep saying, emotional. Again, I do not think it will be a surprise to learn there are difficult times throughout this read and the characters endure a lot. The plot is pretty obvious but I do not care at all when it makes for such wonderful reading.

Then we hit the turning point of the read, which will be hard to write about as I do not want to spoil it. Suddenly, Miller reveals the future, which is not shocking, but I still loved it and it ensured the rest of the read was equally as beautiful. I particularly enjoyed Miller's writing style for the latter half of the read as well. But enough said, just read this, love it and enjoy it.

'The Sight of You' is achingly beautiful and full of desperate emotions. This is just a stunning read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Hodder & Stoughton for an advance copy.

Omg this book moved me to tears. What a wonderfully written story. I felt sucked in and could not put it down. Round of applause to this author

The sight of you is an emotional love story that has an unusual twist. Joel and Callie meet in the coffee shop where she works. They fall in love, move in together and seem perfect for each other. However, Joel has reservations about their relationship. He has an unusual ability to dream about people he loves, and the dreams come true. They do not always predict good things and although he has tried many ways to stop the dreams they keep on coming.
This novel is about the true meaning of love, and what we are prepared to do for those who mean the most to us. I thought the ending was absolutely beautiful, even though it wasn’t what I was hoping for.

Wow! In tears having just finished this book. My favourite read of this genre this year so far.
This book had it all, great characters, great storyline that made me forget the housework to finish and find out what happens.
Love, hope and despair all wrapped up in an amazing read. Loved it!

I really enjoyed this book because it was about love without being too formulaic or obvious. It also added a paranormal element, and although that sounds like it should make the story unbelievable, somehow it makes it more so, We all fall in love and choose to be with people, despite not knowing how that love will end. Somehow, in knowing how it will end, Joel and Callie’s story makes that everyday choice we all make seem even more magical.

I’ve had MS for over twenty years now, Don’t get me wrong it’s no picnic, but nor does it mean I can’t enjoy my life. When I met my partner two years ago, everyone was asking him whether he really wanted to be with someone like me? What if I needed looking after? What if I use a wheelchair? What if I died? I’m a widow and I married my late husband knowing his life was likely to be short. So I know all about that choice. I started to get indignant. What about the choice I was making? None of us are immortal. I’m making a choice where nothing is known. Where my partner could become ill or have an accident. People choose to believe that their lives are all going to pan out perfectly until they die peacefully in their sleep in their 90th year, but very few of us get that. This book somehow confirmed that choice we make, to be with a person no matter what, even where we know the ending might be painful, The alternative is to turn our back on that love.

When Joel meets Callie he is drawn to her and thinks he has a chance at something meaningful once more. Callie feels that here is a chance to experience a love that is deep and real. However, Joel has a secret. He dreams about the people he loves most and those dreams have an element of foresight. One night he sees Callie’s fate, the dream he has dreaded most. Each one of them must decide to choose each other, or to turn their backs on the love they’ve found in order to have a different future. The first person narratives are perfect for such a personal story and give us insight into the couple’s emotions, their decision making and even the thoughts they hold back from each other. The sacrifices they make for each other, particularly Joel, break the heart. This felt real, moving and uplifting.

If you're looking for your next fix of contemporary love story, this could be it.
Joel has sworn off love. He has dreams where he see's snippets of the future for people he loves, it's too hard to be in a relationship and see them cheat years down the line, so he just doesn't. Until he meets Callie, and falls head over heels for her.
The majority of the book is their love story- the meet-cute, getting to know each other, living together, falling in love. Until Joel has the dream he's dreading.
The last third of the book jumps to various points in the future so we can see what Joel and Callie are doing. I can't say much more without giving away spoilers.
This reminded me of a contemporary love story like The Flat Share, or The Lonely Fajita. Its cute, and heart-warming. I ugly cried at the very end, right at the last chapter, but wasn't emotionally effected otherwise through the book.
The characters are OK, I read an ARC from NetGalley, so I think there may be some changes in the final drafts as there were a few names mentioned as if we should know them who either I completely forgot, or who hadn't been mentioned previously.
This did make me wonder, if someone could tell me something serious about my future, would I want to know? I think I'd probably be like Callie and say no- you'd always have that hanging over you.
Its a nice love story, I'd recommend for fans of Beth O'Leary or John Green.
Thanks to NetGalley for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A page turner of a book I couldn’t put it down.
Each chapter is told by either Callie or Joel the two main characters & gives their versions of what’s happening.
The book follows the lives of Callie & Joel and what eventually happens when something comes between them. This is a love story but one that isn’t as it seems. I loved it you will need to have the tissues to hand it really gets you at the end!
Beautifully written with two very likeable characters it’s a must read one if the best I’ve read.

This is the story of Joel and Callie. It's more than a love story with an unusual twist. Joel has dreams where he can see the futures of the people he loves.

Fate pulls them together when they meet at the coffee shop that Callie manages. Despite his head telling him to avoid love, Joel can't fight his butterflies whenever he sees her. Callie is drawn to his awkward, charming manner.

I adored this book and the characters were really brought to life by the author. It stayed with me for a long time and I have recommended this book to family and friends.
Thank you to #netgalley and the publisher for letting me review this intriguing book.

I loved this. An original premise and genuinely likeable characters. As much as I didn’t like the ending, it was a refreshing change, and absolutely right for the story. Heartbreaking and thought provoking, this is a great read that I struggled to put down.

Absolutely heartbreaking. A truly beautiful story of life, friendships, family, sacrifice and true love. This book will stay with me forever and will be one I read over and over always hoping for a different ending and heartbroken every time it’s the same. I cried so much when I finished this book. Probably the best and most heartbreaking story I’ve ever read. I’m filling up just thinking about it as I write the review. Tissues are most definitely needed.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in return for an honest and unbiased opinion.

What a beautiful story. Joel and Callie are wonderfully thought out characters and Holly Miller portrays them in a way that makes them feel real. Absolutely amazing. I’m so glad I got the honour of reading this book, and I cried like a baby

A very emotional story with excellent characters. I was really invested in their story and I wanted a happy ending. Really not your average love story, one to make you think about what is important in life and the story does stay with you.

This is sweet and touching. The premise is great and the characters are well written. It's not a conventional romance story; it's more of a story about human relationships and friendships and the concept of what we give up for those we love.
