I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review and would like to thank Holly Miller, Hodder & Staunton and NetGalley for the opportunity.

What initially attracted me about this book was the intriguing premise - how would you live your life if you knew how and when it would end? I think it’s an interesting and fresh idea to consider in a novel.

I think most people given this choice would divide cleanly in one of two directions: those who want to know to ensure that they live life to the max and those who don’t want to know anything about it in case it spoils the time they have left. This is precisely the problem faced by our protagonists and we find out from the outset that they are not together, with the time line looping back round on itself. For me, this lack of narrative tension was the main failing of a nicely-written book.

The main characters are likeable, if possibly a little to good to be true and some of the peripheral characters could, perhaps, be fleshed out a little more but overall it’s an enjoyable read. I do think it would have held my attention better though if I had been kept guessing as to what would happen between Callie and Joel. As it was, after a great build up, the actual relationship was very brief and then there is an awful lot of book left before it reaches its conclusion.

Oh my goodness where to I even begin with reviewing this book?! I just had to take myself off for a cup of tea for 5 minutes as I was such an emotional wreck after reading it. Such a beautiful love story, Callie and Joel are just wonderful characters and I loved every single word.
I don't want to say much more for fear of giving any spoilers, but I will just say just read it. If you love a love story then this book is for you. Go and read it!

Beautifully written, with descriptive and powerful imagery. I was absorbed and invested from the very first page, right up to the very last. I didn't want to put the book down. It's an incredible story written with such sensitivity that you fall in love with both characters and your heart breaks for Joel and Callie.

I see it's been optioned for Hollywood and I can completely see why, it will make a fantastic conversion to screen. Loved it.

When I first read the synopsis of this book I was instantly intrigued - a man who dreams of events which will happen in the future of people he loves sounded like exactly my kind of book.

Well this charming book with its wonderful characters totally broke my heart. I was completely swept away by Joel and Callie and their story.

This is a wonderful book, a beautiful love story but you will need a box of tissues as it really tugs on the heartstrings!

OMG! It is so hard to do this book justice by putting what I felt about this book into words. This book is beautiful. Breathtaking. Poignant. Sad. Uplifting,. Compelling. Satisfying. Addictive.

The story draws you right in. I loved the characters, I loved the premise and the plot, and the writing is simply stunning. It is hard to believe this is a debut novel. These two characters are meant to be together and without spoilers, throughout the whole book you are willing them on, hoping that all will be well in the end. I ugly cried through most of it.

You MUST read this book. It will haunt you for years to come. I cannot recommend this book enough.
More Holly Please!

I usually review a book as soon as I have turned the last page, but that was impossible with The Sight of You, by Holly Miller.
This is not a negative, quite the opposite. It is because I was too emotionally involved with the ending, and still living the last few chapters. I went to bed last night thinking about the book, and woke up this morning again, thinking about Joel and Callie.

I am struggling to find words that fully convey how beautiful this book is. It is a breathtaking book, that completely draws you in. A simple, but stunning, all encompassing story of love. One of the loveliest couples in fiction, the sort of couple that you know are meant to be together.
I don’t want to say more, for fear of giving away any of this beautiful story.

If you are reading this review, debating whether to make this your next read. I compel you to read it. This book will stay with me for a long time. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Unbelievably, this is Holly’s debut novel, and I can’t wait to read her second release.

I have just read a quote attributed to Plato.
“Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until, another heart whispers back”
Joel and Callie’s hearts sing one of the most beautiful duets I have ever heard.

Wow! I have no words! I have just finished this book and it's blew me away! I am soaked with tears and ache from sobbing through the ending. I love the switching between Callie and Joel getting their side of the story. I struggled to put this amazing book down. It's simply wow! Thank you for the opportunity to review this amazing book.

Haunted by prophetic dreams about the people he cares about, Joel avoids getting close to anyone new because he can’t bear to see the end of a relationship before it happens. Callie is feeling lost after the death of her best friend. When Joel and Callie meet, there is an instant connection. They both grasp the opportunity to see where their connection might lead, despite knowing what Joel’s dreams could mean for their relationship. Unfortunately things start to crumble when the very thing Joel had been dreading happens; he dreams of how it ends.

This is a beautiful, heart-breaking book. Joel and Callie are deep, complex characters and I really felt for them during their highs and lows. Their budding relationship is wonderfully written with many lovely moments. The secondary characters are also vivid, and through the dual first-person narration I could really feel the closeness between Joel, Callie, and their friends and family.

I tend to avoid stories that say they will ‘break your heart’ but was intrigued by the prophetic dreams element. I thought this was used in an interesting way, with both positive and negative outcomes for Joel. I must admit I put off finishing this book for a while as I expected something sad to happen and wanted to delay the end for as long as possible. Eventually I braved it and cried the most tears I’ve ever cried over a book! But it was definitely worth it.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about likable, complex characters and deep connections.

Thank you to NetGalley and Hodder & Stoughton for the opportunity to read and review this title.

Oh gosh. This book is beautiful even though it broke my heart and made me cry. This is the story of true love and it’s sacrifices. Joel and Callie find each other and have the deepest love for one another but it isn’t easy. Love never is. Joel has a secret gift, which makes commitment almost impossible for him. The book is beautifully written. I absolutely loved it, even though the ending broke my heart.

I've had to wait a few days after finishing book to be able to put my thoughts into words. On the face of this book, it reads very easily and is light fiction. IN the story though, there's parts that lead you to start thinking about things more deeply.

Joel is struggling with life - He has dreams about the people in his life that he cares for. Dreams that tell him what will happen to them in the future - and its not always happy news. As a result, Joel pushes people away - He's understandably afraid to form deep connections with people.

Normally I wouldn't like this type of book - I'm not one for fantasy fiction. I did enjoy this though - There's writing that gives you a lump in your throat. I liked the characters - they seemed well rounded people that were decent and actually had back stories and friends of their own.

I still cannot decide whether the ending is what I wanted to happen...I'll leave that up to you to decide.

I was definitely taken in by the blurb on this one and it certainly surprised me. Great read and not something I would have normally chosen to read.

Thank you to NetGalley for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have to start with saying this isn't my normal Genre of book but I was drawn in by the blurb and I was not disappointed I really enjoyed it. The book was sweet and wonderful and sad a rollercoaster of emotions. Highly recommend.

Pass the tissues -having just finished reading this beautifully written love story tears are still running down my face. I've also got my reading mojo back after having lost it a few months ago.
The story told in alternate chapters of Joel and Callie is truly mesmerising once you discover more about their backgrounds and why they are both single. Both characters need to start living for the present and let go of the past ,Joel is also afraid of the future and this in the end is what makes it such a love story .The old saying "if you love someone let them go" has never been truer. Poignant, heartfelt and gorgeous this is a book to curl up and read in one marathon session on a cold wet day .

I was captivated by the heartbreaking love story of Joel and Callie. The premise is intriguing and compelling and as a reader I became immersed in the ups and downs of their togetherness. This book is almost guaranteed to leave you with a tear in your eye and the ending redefines poignancy. It had echoes of 'One Day' and 'Normal People' containing as it does a strong sense of inevitability about the trajectory of the characters' relationship. Thank you for the advance review copy, the memories of which will linger long after I have turned the final page.

I loved this. Absolutely loved it. Great original storyline, brilliant writing, characters you really get invested in - an amazing book. I've re-read the last 3 chapters several times since finishing and it stayed with me for a long time. Heart-breaking and life-affirming. One of the best books I've read this year.

OMG! I thought this was going to be a very romantic book, an easy reading after 2 crime books, and a happy ending.

I wasn´t prepared for this heartbreakingly frustrating story of 2 people who love each other to the moon and back.
I was not prepare to laugh and cry, and cry and laugh. I have loved the book but I had to stop for one whole day knowing that the end was approaching. A bad accident with people dying in my little village on the day reading the book didn´t help either.

It is a lovely book about true friendships when you have lost your hopes, when you don´t behave like normal people because of issues that nobody knows and your friends are still there checking on you and ready for when you decide to try a change and they are always there to help you with the change, to make it a bit more bearable.

And how letting go, although it hurts, sometimes is the best option.

I will definitely wait for the 2nd book of this instalment, if there is going to be a 2nd one as stated in Goodreads.

Just lovely. I have enjoyed every moment of this off-beat romance, escapism at its best. Callie and Joel are great characters who are meant for each other but due to circumstances beyond their control some unexpected turns are taken. Suspend any cynicism, find a comfortable chair and enjoy.

What a story, oh my heart.
Tortured Joel and Callie are perfect for each other. But Joel is tormented by prophetic dreams and Callie doesn't want to hear her future.
I loved their story and cried for them and the end of the book.
