Joel has dreams - don't we all - but his foretell the future. He has hidden this ability from everyone since he was a child and it has affected his whole life especially his ability to make relationships. So when he meet Callie he is desperate not to get involved but he does and finds happiness until one night he dreams of their fate.

I've read quite a few books recently where characters either foresee the future or get a chance to relive their past and this is definitely one of the better ones. Joel and Callie are two very sympathetic characters. You feel like you really get to know them over the course of the novel and you root for them throughout. Other characters are very well drawn too and based in real life. What I especially liked is that their lives were believable. Having just read a book about a high flying New York lawyer who is gifted a loft apartment by a friend I had had enough of reading about the super-rich. Callie and Joel are typical millennials in many ways, not yet settled in their careers and still living in rented accommodation well into their thirties. That's what life has been like for many since the financial crash of 2008. It's not all partnerships in law firms, dining out in fine restaurants and getting a multi million dollar flat given to you. It's eating pizza and wondering if you'll manage to pay the rent this month. So thank you, author, publisher and NetGalley for providing me with the ARC of this down to earth (in spite of the psychic aspect), funny and touching novel. I loved it.

I have just finished reading this beautifully written book wihich explores a very unusual topic, it had me intrigued from the first page and held my attention throughout.
The main male character Joel, has a gift of dreaming which ironically has felt like a curse to him, after falling crazy in love with Callie; he sees her fate in a dream and must decide how to deal with this.
I loved the different twists and turns in the plot which portrays the journeys of the two main characters vividly, the writing involves the reader immensely through some amazing descriptive writing.
I would recommend this read, even if you are a non believer!

The haunting tagline of The Sight of You - "Would you choose love if you knew how it would end?" was what made me interested when I stumbled upon this book on bookstagram. I am a lover of romance novels and I really liked how the author took a different approach to this genre through The Sight of You. Even though the book broke me, the beautiful story of Callie and Joel will forever stay in my heart. The conversions between Callie and Joel, the little moments they shared, warmed my heart. I loved how the book wasn't only focused on the main characters' love story, but also about the relationships that they shared with their family and friends. The book's plot was so realistic, and one of my favorite part of the book was how the author chose to express the bravery that comes by loving someone truly. It's honestly so hard to talk about the book without revealing how the story ends, so I'll stop here. I can't wait to read more books by Holly Miller given how wonderfully she wrote her debut novel!

This book! It's impossible not to get completely invested in the lives of Joel and Callie. Impossible not to be rooting for them to find a way to make it work. Impossible not to get to the end without a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye. A book you won't forget for a very long time.

A novel idea and an absorbing book. Joel has a gift - he dreams about the future. His gift is largely a curse however, as he sometimes sees bad things that are going to happen and feels the responsibility for protecting those he knows and loves from small or large calamities.. He then falls madly in love with Callie...
The plot and the characters (stars and support) are really well written. The story is told from both Joel and Callie's points of view, which added depth. It was really easy to like them both and to hope for there to be a happy ending.
I will definitely recommend this book. It was thought provoking, emotive and engaging.
Thank you to Holly Miller, her publishers and #NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

This book is just wonderful. Dare I say it, but better than One Day in December, which was the perfect ‘will they, won’t they,’ romance. This book haunts you long after it’s finished with an ending I cried buckets over. This book is going to be huge!

Such a great premise for a book- nothing perhaps new but told so well that it feels real from the outset.
Joels dreams are ruining his life, because they show him premonitions of the lives of those he loves and although many are happy several are also tragic. He has told no-one and as a result watches things unfold that he cannot control, including the death of his mum.
Understandably he is not keen on letting himself love anyone else and works hard at isolating himself from relationships, all the while trying to alter the future by subtely warning his friends and family to avoid certain activities, places or actions or by taking matters into his own hands to change their paths and avoid that foreseen destiny.
Enter Callie, who makes him fall in love, who encourages him to open up and who ultimately he sees the future for in one of his dreams.
Cleverly spilt between the two main voices and acroos a period of 6 years we walk with Joel and Callie through the fledgling romance, the blossoming relationship and the aftermath of Joels decisions.
At the begiining the scene is well set with plenty of time and space given to the characters to meet and fall in love but as you move through the book the chapters get shorter and the pages devoted to each passing year grow fewer leaving you racing to the conclusion of the book almost breathlessly!
Un-put-down-able and wonderful with a little bit of thought provocation (would you tell someone their future if you could? would you want to hear your own?).. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

A dreamy, moving romance that really makes you care about the protagonists. The new One Day/One Day in December, this is a fantastical charmer and a great piece of escapism. Highly recommended.

A wonderfully original and emotive book bursting with fabulous characters. This is one of those books where you'll be torn between wanting to race ahead to find out what happens, and wanting to savour every moment and delay the end of such a wonderful book. I can see this being snapped up and made into a movie!

Wow. Wow. Wow. That’s all I can say.

Absolutely incredible.

I’ve just finished this book and I’m kind of lost for words.

It made me feel every emotion. I would recommend this book over and over and over again. The concept is new and original although I thought I may personally find it a bit cheesy - but I did not. It was just incredible.

The story is of Callie and Joel and how they meet and he knows when she is going to die. It’s a story where I kept hoping it would go the way that I personally wanted it to. I never at any point stopped rooting for Joel and Callie.

I loved their lives, not just them, their families and their friends.

The writing style was one of my favourites. Quite often chic lit is told mainly from the girls perspective but I loved getting Joel’s input as well. It makes it a much more interesting read. Although at the end I must admit I did find myself skimming pages although this could possibly be due to my eagerness as to find out how it ended.

I’ve never read this author before but I definitely will be in the future. The BEST chic lit I’ve read in 2019 for sure, perhaps even longer.

Wow.

Keep them coming!!

Very well written. A very emotional book, a true love story. It will have you in tears and you won't be able to stop thinking about the two main characters. Very good ending and not what was expected.
