This was a fun story about Molly and her new 'friendling', Notes. When Molly learns her best friend Chloe is leaving school tomorrow she is understandably upset. Then she meets Notes, who gets her into trouble in class, keeps her company at lunchtime and ultimately helps her to cope with the change that is to come.
Told in short chapters with bold doodles, this is a great book for children beginning to read chapter books or reluctant readers. I loved the doodled notes that Notes writes and the magic element is sure to engage young readers.
I received an eARC of this book from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

This is a marvelous book of magic and mayhem for children which will bring smiles to their faces as it did to mine. I found myself giggling along as I read this wonderful book.

This is the first book in a new series and I can't wait to see what will happen in further books.

I loved the 'scribble' styled drawings and illustrations and found them very befitting to the book.

This book will definitely liven up reading time and bring endless enjoyment.

I was very lucky to be auto approved via netgalley by the publishers so I could read Notes in Class by Inky Willis which i must comment on what an amazing name for an author and it is very apt. Notes in Class is about a girl called Molly who is horrifed after hearing her friend Chloe's news which makes her kind of unhappy. So when Molly is looking a word up in the dictionary she comes across a drawing of a witch and decides to cut it out. Next thing she knows the paper witch has come to life and her name is Notes and all Notes wants to do is help her friendling. But as the story unfolds Molly realises that what Notes does is sometimes very unhelpful and she finds herself in so much trouble. I thought this story was highly entertaining and made me chuckle alot. I now want to re-read it at some point and I am going to buy my very own copy and can't wait to see what Notes gets up to next. For this reason I am giving this book 4 stars.

Molly and best friend Chloe have a secret as Notes a witch made from drawing appears to Molly and she shares her with Chloe her friend who is moving to another school closer to her home.

As Molly faces life at school without Chloe she's sad and tries to plan a way to keep Chloe at her school however can she succeed?

Notes was a fun little character who caused lots of mischief in the school this is a book that ignites imagination and creativity with the drawing.

Many thanks to the publisher's for allowing me to review this book for them!

We have ahead two shop customer look at this one and they both loved it! It is apparently, fun and silly and they loved the graphical style! Definitely a series to watch. In the vein of Liz Pichon and Konnie Huq, this is a good one!

This would be an excellent book for young readers who believe in a bit of magic and friendship.
Molly is having a bad day, made worse by the appearance of a titchy witch intent on helping her. Notes is the name of the witch and she ends up causing more problems for Molly, Perhaps Molly can use Notes to convince her best friend to stay at school and not move away.
Highly illustrated and fun to read, it is a lovely book.
