The blurb of this book sounded awesome and I thought it'd be a top read for me. Unfortunately i did not enjoy this. I couldn't get into it and found myself skimming over the last hundred pages or so. Just not for me.

I liked the premise behind this book and on reading the blurb I thought I would give it a go, but medical thrillers are not really my usual thing and I found it difficult to get stuck into this. Unfortunately I didn’t finish it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read an advance digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

The blurb sounded so incredible I wish that it had started with the blackmail instead of the journalist being murdered and the main character being incompetent to distinguish a broken neck nor caring that the person died. I DNFed this at about 5% because I was forcing myself to continue reading it. The main character was too arrogant and conceited for me.

1 out of 5 stars.

DNFR.

I really struggled to get into this book, I found it too complicated - the storyline wasn't exactly making sense.

I got 31% of the way through (according to my Kindle) but it felt like so much more had happened in that short space of time, but at the same time like it was dragging to come to a climax.

I'll try and give this book another go later on but for the moment it's two stars from me.
