I was so looking forward to Mauricio's story! And Ms. Cardello didn't disappoint.

This is the story of Mauricio and Wren.  A chance meeting in the romantic city of Paris. Their chemistry sparking like sparklers on the fourth of July!

Wren is an amazing heroine! She is smart, she is sassy and she is loyal! I love that her filter is paper-thin and she has a habit of blurting out whatever comes to mind! I like how she kept Mauricio on his toes and kept surprising him!

Mauricio oh my me...this hero has all the elements of a swoony fella! He was brutally honest (or so he thought) at the beginning of the vacation fling with Wren.

The secondary characters and the way both families meddled was fantastic and brought so much more to the story.  I also loved the secondary story and how the whole Corsini and Romano families are connected.  I am hoping for more secrets revealing in future stories!

You get humor, heat and most importantly heart in this story, love for family and love for each other.  I am so becoming a fan of Ruth Cardello's stories! I can't wait to read more!

Mauricio and Wren had sizzling chemistry from the start and it certainly didn't let up throughout the entire read! This was the second standalone in the Corisi Billionaires Series and it was as delightful and enjoyable as the first book. If you're looking for contemporary romance with some fun, some drama and some steam, you'll be happy with this book and this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

Instant heat or slow simmering. With those Romano men, you never know what to expect. Sebastian was a brooding mass of contradictions and Mauricio is a charmer with his own brand of baggage to work through. Well played, Ruth Cardello. The Corisi Billionaires series is turning out to be a beautiful surprise. There's always a twist you never saw coming and a few familiar faces litter the canvas from more than one fabulous Cardello series. Two lost souls find themselves in the city of love. Mauricio and Wren will take emotions on a magical escapade that ranges from instant lust to soulful yearning and oh, so much more. Cardello aims high and has yet to miss the mark when it comes to stealing hearts.

At first I thought Wren and Mauricio were two stereotypes but there were glimpses of complexity in them. She was not just a "good girl" and he was a better man than I thought at first.

This is insta-love but the fact that they meet in another country makes them more comfortable with each other and it was like when you meet someone online. You talk about the depth stuff firsts and then the silly things like what's your favourite color. So even if it was insta-love for me it was believable.

I just needed more complexity and this story had been told a thousands times before. It had potential but both main characters (their voices) ended up being too juvenile for my liking.

Although if you want to read something light and fun (a little bit over the top because he's super rich) this book it's for you.

Another great book in this series the men of the Corisi family are pure alpha male and when they meet the woman for them they don't hold back at all and that was so true of Mauricio once he met Wren she may have not been his usual type but she was going to be his even if it was supposed to be no strings attached at first.

I love the setting I felt like I was there with them ans while it is a stand alone I do think it is better if you have read "The Broken One" first just because it gives you background

Wren Heath hadn’t had a vacation away from her parents in years so she decides to go to Paris to visit her friend and do some sightseeing. While there she meets Mauricio Romano who has a reputation for being a player on the dating scene. They decide to give it a go with a week of no strings attached five days and five nights. Things definitely heat up and while Mauricio brings out the sex goddess in Wren, he also realizes that he might want more than a week of being with her. When she has to rush home, Mauricio thinks she doesn’t feel the same as he does and is devastated. It takes a little help from family to get these two to realize a week in Paris is just the beginning of what could be something wonderful.

As always this author writes a wonderful love story, with crazy and funny family thrown in for good measure. I love getting to know the new characters in Ms. Cardello’s books and love when she lets us catch a glimpse at what previous characters from previous books are up to – in this case, Dominic Corisi, who is one of my most favorite heroes in my book world. Wren and Mauricio are such a good balance for a hero and heroine, neither being too overbearing, but bringing out the best in each other. The plot is strong; there is humor and fun secondary characters and a very well pulled together ending. I loved this story and am anxious for the next one in this series.

I received an ARC from Netgally for an honest review, which I have provided.

A sizzling sexy ready when the guys doesn't always get his way and I love that. Wren is the kinds of girl that you can see being one of your best friends and you just want everything to work out for her. Mauricio visualises as the cocky, not so humble, sexy delicious man that makes all your fantasies come alive. I love the way that they meet and the relationship/friendship that they develop along the way. A great read and I can't wait to see they way the rest of the series goes.

Having never encountered this author I was intrigued to discover how beautiful her writing is. This is the second book but I do not feel that reading the first is necessary.

Mauricio and Wren were ridiculously cute together and I loved it. Wren was a little self conscious and shy at times, but when she opened up and started rambling about something it really showed how amazing her characters was. And it would also lead to a lot of adorable moments where Mauricio would just stare at her as she talked so passionately about something. It was swoon worthy how much he adored her.

I thought the book was set at a really good pace and I loved that we got so much time with Mauricio and Wren in Paris. That's where the majority of the book was set and it had so many cute moments that we then got to see mixed with the very steamy ones when Wren found her inner sex-kitten.

Overall, this is definitely a book I would recommend reading. It can technically be read as a standalone and when it comes to the Romano family there isn't any problem with reading this book before Mauricio's brother's, which came first. However, I am still confused about the parts that are thrown into this series with Dominic Corisi. I understand the direction the author is moving in with that storyline but in my opinion it doesn't meld well with these books considering these characters don't meet or even personally know Dominic.

The Wild One is a fabulous read. It is fun and sexy as you go along the journey of Wren and Mauricio. I love their chemistry and their Paris adventure together. Wren really comes out of her shell when she meets Mauricio. This book just takes you on this journey of finding love and family. Mauricio is wonderful and watching his heart grow once he meets Wren is so beautiful. I love the Romano family and getting to know more about them. Yes you should read this in series order to understand the tie ins a little more. I love where Ruth Cardello is taking us in the Corisi Billionaires series and I can't wait for more.

4 star review of The Wild One (Corisi Billionaires #2) by Ruth Cardello

The second book in the series and one I enjoyed. This is Wren Heath and Mauricio Romano’s story.

What could be better than a fling in Paris? After all what happens in Paris, stays in Paris, right? Not always. Having recently visited Paris, I loved reading about places that hold a special place in my heart.

I fell hard and fast for Mauricio and could easily see Wren as a friend. I liked that the author has written characters that have flaws and it just made them more realistic. Both have baggage and yet could this fling turn in to something more?

It was also great to see some familiar faces and I enjoyed the romance and love story. There was also some heat which added to my enjoyment.

Although a stand alone i do feel it might be beneficial to have read some of Ms. Cardello’s other books to get more of the back story.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.

I very much enjoyed The Wild One by Ruth Cardello. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I can't wait to read the other books in this series. I cannot wait to read The Broken One, the first in this series. I like both Mauricio and Wren and their meet cute is pretty funny. I will say the parts with Dominic didn't make any sense to me. I think the first book may have additional information that would make me understand that more. I also wish I knew who was getting the next book! There are so many worthy characters I cannot wait!

No last names and a week in Paris for a fun, sex filled fling, sign me up! But we all know that no strings attached doesn't play out that way. Wren Hudson is at a crossroads she wants to make changes with her life and starting with a fling with a Playboy seems like a good idea. She didn't expect to have feelings and have life and their week together end early.
Mauricio Romano is that a point where he's ready to move on from the family business. And he's unsettled by his reaction to Wren. Is it possible that she is his one? Hurt and confused after her abrupt departure Mauricio is trying to figure out a way to make it work. And well-meaning families come to meddle.
And we get further into Dominic Corisi family background. Just enough to whet your appetite and see that the wrath will come down upon them.

I like Ruth Cardello's book and from the ones that I have read she tends to have a whole family and coming from a big family that is involved in everything I like that. I liked Wrenand this she wasn't the norm of what Mauricio tended to go for, however he still wants her and the no string situation. But you and I know that the no-string tends to turn into a whole ball of yarn. He gets stupid and realizing that he erred has to correct it before he loses what he never knew he wanted nor needed. But my regret I again-lord what is happening to me started with this one, how could I have not known or more likely forgotten that this is the second book in series, and you know I need to know everything I am nosy like that-again coming from a big family it a given..Anyhoo can't wait til the next one and when am I every going to find more hours in the day to read, read, read!

The Wild One is the second book in the Coirsi Billionaires series. We met Mauricio in the first book (The Broken One), which was Sebastian's story. I really enjoyed that book so I was excited to be able to read this one. This book could be read as a standalone, but I feel that you should read the first book to get to know some of the characters that come up in this book.

This book is told from the point of view from Mauricio and Wren. With bonus scenes from Dominic. I'm still not 100% sure where Dominic comes into these stories, but I have a feeling he's related to The Coirsi family. I really like the dual point of views in books so we can hear the inner thoughts of both characters.

Wren and Mauricio meet in Paris. Wren is a put it all out there type of girl who will do anything for her parents. Mauricio was a wild one and living a free life. They start out as friends and see where it takes them from there. Can Mauricio sort out his feelings for Wren? Can Wren be there for him and her family at the same time? I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one in the series. I can't wait to see what happens to the next Coirsi brother and where Dominic comes into this.

I really enjoyed this book, which follows the first book in the series, The Broken One. It is standalone, although the characters from the first book do make an appearance and there's the overall arc/mystery about how the Dominic Corisi and the Romanos are related. (I think they are related, I assume since the family we're following are the Romanos but we're also slowly learning more about Dominic Corisi's family tree. If you're like me and you didn't read Dominic's story yet, no worries- his story itself isn't playing too heavily into it so he and his daughter, who is doing a family tree project for school, are kind of just figureheads for why the series is called the Corisi Billionaires. Although after reading this, I will be checking out his book too).

This particular story follows Mauricio, the wild, apparently really good looking and fun Romano. He's in Paris for fun and to meet up with his friend who asked him to meet with his paramour and her friend, Wren, when he got into an accident. Once Mauricio met Wren, it was insta-attraction and Mauricio and Wren decided to partake in a holiday tryst. But of course, their entanglement served to be more than just short term. There was a little angst but overall, it was well done and I loved the look into Paris, some of the major attractions as well as a look into the family dynamics of the Romanos. They are a fun bunch!

I am very much looking forward to the next book and also seeing how the Romano/Corisi connection is resolved.

I requested and received this arc through NetGalley.

This was my first Ruth Cardello book and whew! I’m still warm from the steam burning in this one! Mauricio is a rich, hot, powerful alpha male and Wren is smart, beautiful and slightly awkward. They have an instant attraction while in Paris and romance/steam/love ensue!
Instant attraction isn’t always my favorite trope and these two had slightly strained interactions at first, but it just worked and you could feel their attraction to each other. I loved how devoted both characters were to their families. There were steamy scenes, but they were done in a fun way. I blew through this in under 24 hours (with work and kids activities in between!). I would definitely love to read more of this author!
The only slightly awkward thing was that there were a few chapters that connected to a clearly very important character from other books. Without reading those I was a bit lost... but thinking I need to read more about Dominic! ♥️

Much awaited read from Ruth Cardello, I loved it. Living in Paris for the past five years, I loved the Parisian setting and romance of Wren and Mauricio. I can't wait to read about the rest of the Romano brothers and get my dose of Abby and Dominic in each novel <3

This is the second book in the Corisi Billionaires series, which is tied in (or is a spin-off?) with the Legacy Collection series. While it CAN be read as a stand-alone romance, it probably shouldn't be because it is definitely is helpful to have read both the first book in this series as well as the original Legacy Collection series. I hadn't read the original series in quite a few years, so I was pretty lost while reading the chapters from Dominic's point of view, but I ended up going back and at least re-reading the first book so I had some idea of what was going on there. Although Dominic's chapters aren't essential to the main story, the do tie in with the main character Mauricio and his family, so it really helped in understanding what it was referring to. I just wish a little backstory was included with those chapters - I know, the author probably doesn't want to give away any spoilers, but it was really confusing not having any context for Dominic and his family and left me wondering just how this fit in with the main characters.

Having said of all that (for a handful of chapters!), I actually really enjoyed Mauricio and Wren's story, which is the majority of the book. Both were at a crossroads in their lives and looking for a little fun and combined with the romance of Paris made this a very enjoyable read. Wren's enthusiasm for architecture and history made me feel like I was there experiencing Paris right along with her. I love how the author creates characters that are both realistic and fun, mixing witty dialog with steamy chemistry. And every girl dreams of a man who woos her like Mauricio did! These are characters I want to hang out with and be friends with, and revisit in the future. I'm excited to read the next book in the series!

Note: I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.
