Yet again, another great book by Lisa Gardner. Good to find out more of how previous characters lives develop and also have a new crime to solve. An excellent read.

I am afraid the ethos and language of these teenagers made it impossible for me to become involved in this story. I was disappointed as I have previously enjoyed Lisa Gardners books. Maybe I am too old! I am sure others will enjoy it.

This is the fourth book featuring abduction survivor turned vigilante/investigator Flora Dane, a character I have come to love. Along with FBI agent Kimberley Quincy and Boston detective DD Warren she is invited to join a task force investigating a prolific killer who has been murdering young girls for more than 15 years. This story had me experiencing a whole spectrum of emotions from shock and horror to breathless anticipation. My underlying feeling throughout the book, however, was anger especially when reading the prologue and the excerpts narrated by a little girl who has been robbed of everything even her name. I thought the phone calls between the investigators and their families along with the tentative romance between Flora and Keith made the situations endured by the victims even more horrific. Another 5 star thriller by this author.
