3,5 stars!

This is a perfect room-com novel if you want a carefree, no hassle story that makes you laugh. I liked that the protagonist, Rosie, didn't make herself a victim, but took responsibility for her actions and didn't whine (like all too many characters do in rom-com novels that tries to be funny). She didn't wallow in self pity either, which was even better :)

I really recommend this if you want easy entertainment with some laughs!

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book had a really cute premise and overall was a decent read. It didn't blow me away, but there were funny parts, cute parts, etc. The writing was pretty simple and straightforward and that made this a pretty quick read as well.

So much love for this book, this was the perfect escapism I needed right now.

I love going on Cruise ships ,I am a big fan of Shuffleboard!!! And New York is one of my favourite city's in the world, so this book had me at the cover!

Rosie's disastrous time on a TV quiz show goes viral after she is dumped on live TV, on the positive side, she is now £5oK richer! When she receives flowers from an ex saying they want her back, she goes off in search of her exes to find out who wants her back, as said ex forgot to sign the card!

We follow Rosie on her travels, which include inadvertently taking her parents with her and her new, gay BFF, who was once her boyfriend!

Everyone needs an Eli in their life!

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book, this is my honest opinion.

This was a great fun read. The storyline was clever and I loved her interaction with her ex’s and how they went. Got completely lost in this novel and was dying to know which ex it was that sent the flowers. For me, this is the perfect holiday read.

The worst day of her life turns out to be a new beginning down a better - or at least more interesting - path for our protagonist. She is forced to face her fears, discover who she really is and what she wants from life, and look into the mistakes of her past. There are several implausible situations that just make this book even funnier than you'd expect, along with a colorful cast of characters. The last chapter gives the whole escapade a brand new twist....but no peeking!

Well Portia has done it again. Another absolutely wonderful read which has gripped me from the very beginning.
I am a huge fan of Portia, every new book makes me have a new favourite. Portia is an extremely talented author who has the ability to create such magical and fantastic reads.
This book has made me both laugh and want to cry. Imagine being dumped on live TV, although funny I cringed for the main character and felt quite frustrated when said Ex-boyfriend thought he was owed.
We follow Rosie on her journey to find who sent her the flowers. I have to be honest, I think I joined team Josh from the very first reconnection. The chemistry was evident from that first moment.
This is a book which has allowed me to escape to a cruise ship for the afternoon. It is definitely a must read and as always I wish I could give Portia more than five stars for this gorgeous read. Five stars really does not do this wonderful read justice.
I honestly can't wait to see what Portia has in store for us next. I already know it will be a superb read which I will love.

What could be more humiliating than being dumped on live television, only to have it go viral worldwide? It is safe to say, no one knows like Rosie Jones knows. Upon her quest to discovering the identity of the sender of 'The Bouquet', Rosie immediately set forth, sailing on the treacherous Seas of Self-Discovery.

With her dignity firmly anchored at dockside, Rosie weathered what was perhaps one of the most mortifying excursions one could ever imagine. Whilst seeking out the men of her Ex-Mas past, at every possible turn, poor Rosie would slip and fall out of the Bad Karma Tree, getting nicked by every bloody branch on the way down! Time and again, I cringed for her (I laughed my head off, but hey, I still cringed). Between her parents, Eli, and water aerobics, Rosie had her hands full.

This charming tale was a heady elixir of humor, wit, and devilment. From beginning to a delightfully surprising end, I loved it!!! This book is a definite must-read! Brilliant 5+ stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Portia MacIntosh for the wonderful ARC of 'My Great Ex-Scape' in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
