Missing Person Rachel and her daughter Sadie, age 8 have disappeared. Person of interest is Craig, a photographer for the Sentinel. He has Asperger's and Tess finds it hard to believe that Craig would harm his girlfriend and her daughter. He had helped Tess on the Missing Women and Girls Project, and although quiet and stays to himself, she just doesn't believe it. Rachel had a very hard childhood and had run away from an abusive home and had a child at 13.
Double homicide at cabin at Silver Lake. Is it all connected somehow to Rachel who's vehicle was found not far from there.
Sometimes there is more to others and they keep deep dark secrets.

This was my first book by this author.
While I understand this may not be the final edited copy of the book... the writing was not grea.t There were a lot of errors and repititions. Due to this, I had a hard time finishing the book.

I received The Girl Who Ran Away from NetGalley and the publisher and this is my fair and honest review.

This is my first book by this author. Having said tht in the beginning I found the book very hard to follow along with until I figured out that it was actually going back and forward in time and that the young girl in the story was actually the woman that was later missing in the storyline. After I got to the point I realized what was actually going on then I could better follow along with the storyline. There were errors in the book, which could have been improved on. Sadly the storyline is probably happening many places in the world now days that is how prevelant sex trafficing has become, and so many sick people involved in it. This book could cuse flashbacks for those that have been subjected to trauma in their past.

The plot and the characters are very good, but the writing is not. There are lots of repetitions and other unnecessary comments, as well as logical errors. So it's readable, but would have been much better with some tidying up.
