This is the apocalypse as the world splinters into nefarious groups each with their agendas for survival. What takes place is a fast and insane voyage into the future as only Roo MacLeod can visage.
With a combination that includes Gypsies, Black Hats, The Man, P C Barnaby, Ben Street Boy, and Burrowers Where trust doesn't exist between the clans as the search for a mother and her son becomes pure chaos.
There are moments where describing how society reached this low point is a subtle and clever way to point the finger as to what is happening now. Although I could be reading too much into a fabulous story.
I did enjoy this journey and look forward to the next from Roo MacLeod.
