An absolutely brilliant thriller with amazing plot twists. As always Harlan Coban has written an amazing book that’s had me hooked from the start. Love his work.

30 years ago a boy was found living in the New Jersey woods. This boy, Wilde, has no recollection of how he got there nor for how long.

Wilde is godfather to Matthew, a teenage boy who also happens to be the grandson of Hester Crimstein. If you have read other Coben books, you will know who she is - and understand why I was so excited when she popped up.
A girl from Matthew's class at school goes missing and he asks Hester for help in finding her and Hester then enlists the help of Wilde.
With a powerful, wealthy family added to the mix and a presidential runner with secrets they want to keep hidden, this is a book that just doesn't stop.
The plot is intricate and intriguing with many subplots and twists. Some of the twists I could see coming, but had no way of knowing how it was going to pan out and others took me completely by surprise.

I loved every second of this book and I really hope that we will get to meet some of the characters again.

A fast paced thriller interspersed with some good one-liners. Do people “Reach Out” so often in America? Wilde was an interesting guy, special forces trained but wasn’t a good shot? Not a good driver either. However, he did have some interesting skills picked up as a boy running wild through the forests. A highly readable book with a few nice twists at the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I can see why Harlan Coben is such a popular author. The story is gripping, and the characters, whilst a little cliched, and well-drawn, with entertaining and realistic dialogue. The ending came as a complete surprise, and I would definitely recommend this book.

My first read by Harlan Coben and I just loved it, such a complex plot line which kept me on my toes throughout and wonderful writing to boot, everything you want from an intelligent and compulsive thriller.
Many different storylines going on here which are obviously going to connect, Wilde the boy who was found in the woods now an adult who is he ?..... the missing girl Naomi what is going on the there and my favourite character Hester Crimstein what a feisty woman she is and I especially loved the dalliance with the police chief Oren !!
The twists come slowly in the book and the tension builds as the stories unfold little by little making it a fabulous read and this certainly won’t be me last read by this brilliant author I was most most impressed by the quality of the book.
So highly recommended and I expect this will a huge hit.
My thanks to NetGalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone, Century for giving me the chance to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

The Boy from the Woods by Harlan Coben is a fantastic thriller with a serious plot twist! I have loved reading Mr. Cobens’ works for years and he has become one of my favourite, dependable, go-to-authors: you expect a first-class thrilling ride and that’s what you get!

The plot of this novel is intricate and surprising and progresses at just the right speed. Clues are slowly dispensed as the story unfolds and each one adds up to a brilliant multi-story compendium.

The character development is intense but subtle at the same time. I loved getting to know Hester so intimately, and her old-fashioned romance with Oren was just beautiful! And of course, I fell in love with Wilde. I enjoyed engaging with some characters and despised others, and that’s the kind of emotional connection you want in a novel.
