Too boring, the story was too flat, it just dabbled along. Too much repetition that did not advance the story.

Kit, oh Kit! She's handsome, charming, crooked and slippery. She makes her victims feel like she's done them a huge favor by robbing them of their jewels.

Savannah wants Kit. She wants her because Kit is want-able, and, as an FBI agent investigating jewel heists, she wants to nab her in the act of thievery if Kit is the culprit..

Quite the cat and mouse game, from one country to another, Kit globetrotting, thieving, one step ahead of being found out by the lovely, luscious Savannah!

I liked this story, the first I've read by this author. It was written well and had an interesting set of peripheral characters.

It could have been shorter, though. There were so many thefts, so many sex scenes (I'm no prude) that the reader gets the point pretty fast that Kit and Savannah like each other and like having sex. I understood Kit's way of thinking, but the story got to be "more of same" after awhile with no real reason for including more scenes of the same nature, whether sexy or jewel robbing.

I would recommend this book. Williamz's fans will like this new addition to her growing body of work.

Leaving a honest review is sometimes hard because I don't want to be hard on writers who put themselves out there. Yet I cannot give this book more than 2 stars unfortunately. The premise is very good: FBI agent Savannah is trying to catch a jewel thief but that thief happens to be Kit and she likes her. This could be an exciting game of cat and mouse but instead the writer gives us a repetitive trip around several casino's of the world where everything goes exactly the same. Kit series older women, without remorse, meets up with Savannah afterwards at which time Savannah begs for sex but Kit denies a lot of the time because she knows Savannah is an agent.
The ending become even more unbelievable and I really can't recommend this book.
A lot of opportunities were missed to make the plot better...for example there was a mention of consequences if Kit didn't steal the jewelry. But that was all..that angle could have been used in my opinion to create some tension and depth to her character and could have led to a different (and more believable) ending in my opinion.
This book just did not live up to expectations for me.

Great mystery romance. This kept me excited all the way and I absolutely loved the ending. I will read more from this author. Read this you will not be disappointed.

Great plot but everything else failed. They were sort of circling around each other without any depth in their encounters. I found myself losing interest around 1/3 of the book... This author had much better books in her bibliography.

1.5 stars. This story is about Savannah Brown, an FBI agent who is hunting down a notorious jewel thief. She is tracking down the criminal when she meets Kit Hanson, the jewel thief, although Savannah does not know that, Kit makes her living seducing and then stealing jewels of older women who are alone at a bar. Kit and Savannah meet and know something is different about their connection and they start to spend time together. They both have a feeling they know whose each other's profession is but do not want to admit it to each other. They both start to fall for each other hard and see each other every chance they get.

I did not enjoy this book, it was very repetitive. There was a lot of chapters of really just Kit and Savannah meeting at a casino and doing something together. Then they would be kissing and then saying how they wanted to sleep together but it didn't feel right yet since Kit was afraid of being caught by Savannah. That was at least three of the chapters and it felt like the same thing over and over again. The book was not very good and repetitive and once they got together everything moved very quickly. There are many other much better books to read than this one.

Kit Hanson thrives on the thrill of steeling diamonds from wealthy women she seduces at casinos. She doesn’t need the money but she enjoys the chase. Until she falls for Savannah Brown, the FBI agent in charge of the team trying to apprehend the high-flying thief.

The first page of this book gave me hope that this would be a well-paced smart enemies-to-lovers romance. Unfortunately, my hope crashed almost immediately. The author gives too many details of mundane activities, killing the pace: one character asks the other what she wants to drink, then she goes to the bar where she orders the drinks the reader already knows she’s going to order, then she comes back from the bar and sets the drinks the reader knows she ordered on the table; then the other character drinks the drink the first character went to the bar to order. My eyes kept skimming over the unnecessary descriptions, but even then, the story didn’t hold my attention.

I couldn’t relate to either character. Kit has no compassion whatsoever for her victims, she counts on their being too ashamed to admit they’ve been seduced by a woman, how can I relate to a character who uses shame and internalized homophobia against others? And Savannah has to be the worst FBI agent in lesfic, she keeps asking the wrong questions. She knows there’ something fishy when Kit keeps turning up at the same casinos she’s surveilling, Kit says it’s because she’s following the tournaments but she’s never playing in any of them, nor seems in the least interested in watching them. I’m not even talking about the totally unplausible ending (the rest of the book isn’t that much more plausible anyway).

So, all in all, not my kind of book at all.

I received a copy from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

From one country to another. From one casino to another. On and on and on. A FBI agent, Savannah Brown, in search of a thief taking advantage of women in casino. Kit Hanson, thief with style. I found the story description interesting. I was engaged in the read until about the third country and third casino then it was down hill from there. Too much repetition that did not advance the story. Kit and Savannah had chemistry and a connection but their story interaction just fizzled for me.

Savannah has been chasing an unknown jewel thief for months. Every incident is the same. A middle-aged, married woman claims a man stole her jewels, but none of the stories seem too convincing. Savannah is convinced the thief is a woman, and the victims don't want to reveal they've cheated on their husbands with a woman. Kit loves roulette, priceless gems, and traveling the world. She knows Savannah is after her, but that doesn't stop her from falling for her.

This is a cute little, cat and mouse romance. It moves quickly and has sufficiently steamy scenes. I didn't love it, but it was pretty good. I was hooked at gambler/jewel thief and the cop pursuing her, but some of the robbery scenes were a little repetitive. Overall, though, it was entertaining, and if you're looking for a side of intrigue with your romance, definitely check it out.

This book has a great plot. A jewel thief being chased by an FBI agent around the world at major gambling tournaments and casinos and they are into each other. So it should be a sure fire thriller with obvious potential for drama, where both intrigue and romance are combined. Unfortunately the plot didn’t match the writing style. A thriller of this kind should be fast paced, with snappy dialogue and cliff hanging chapter ends. Instead the story fell flat and about a third of the way through I was bored and disappointed. I wanted to like this one, but sadly it needs a rewrite.

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers, Bold Strokes Books Inc., of ‘Thief of the Heart' for affording me the opportunity to read the book and review it.

This had a lively start and an interesting premise between the two main characters - A prolific jewellery thief with an interesting modus operandi and the FBI agent sent to track her down. And it starts well enough. We see Kit in full 'seduce them then rob them mode', and Savannah organising her team to catch the unknown thief "at it".
Add in some smouldering glances, electricity between the two and the race between evade and capture begins. A very enjoyable beginning and well-drawn characters,

Around the world they travel from one huge gambling tournament to another, always headed to the same tournament as each other. Always the same time of overweight, jewelllery bestown usually older victims seduced to having their first lesbian affair, and none of them willing to admit to any details which would help track Kit down. And unfortunately what was set up to be an engrossing read becomes tedious and repetitive.

The reader is asked to suspend disbelief and believe in repetition and it is just too much. And unfortunately the ending just didn't work for me.

I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review. I'm sorry to say to say that I was disappointed by this one. A romance between a jewel thief and the woman whose job is to catch her ought to have been exciting and high stakes. Instead, it managed to be a bit dull and very repetitive. Kit goes from casino to casino, finds rich, married, older women, seduces them and steals their jewels. The women are too embarrassed to say who stole from them. Lather, rinse, repeat. And I do mean repeat – we see this cycle four or five times, and Kit's pickup lines barely change.
Savannah is the agent tasked with finding the jewel thief. She is pretty sure that Kit is the thief, but she can't find any evidence of this. Also, she is desperately attracted to her.
I found myself struggling to care about either Kit or Savannah. We don't get much sense of their motivations beyond the basics - we see their attraction for each other, we see Savannah's desire to catch the thief, and we see that Kit's thefts are more in the nature of a profession than anything else - it is hinted that there would be consequences if she failed to steal, but we don't know what these are. She certainly has no trace of remorse for her victims.
And I had a huge problem with the ending. This is, of course, a huge spoiler, and I'm writing this review on NetGalley, so I'm just going to create a lot of space below - don't read on if you don't want the ending spoiled.

In the end? Kit retires from jewel thieving, and Savannah is forced out of her job because she didn't catch the jewel thief. In the final pages, Savannah gets a call from her former colleague saying that they have finally found the man who stole all the jewels - they caught him at the scene of one theft and they are pretty sure he did the others. And that's the resolution. Kit never tells Savannah she is the thief, and a random person is going to jail for her crimes, so she gets off free and clear. Kit proposes to Savannah, and we are supposed to believe that they will live happily ever after.
To my mind, this only works as a romance if you are willing to ignore everyone else who lives in the world that Kit and Savannah live in, and if you are fine with a relationship based on a lie. Savannah genuinely believes that she was wrong about Kit, and I can't see how this won't colour the relationship. It's also frustrating from a literary perspective - basically, the central conflict is completely brushed aside and avoided, when so many interesting things could have been done with it.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and voluntarily leaving my review.

Kit is a jewel their who travel around the world seducing women and stealing from them.

Savannah is FBI agent who on Kit trail to catch her in the act.

It's a bit of cat and mouse game between them as their attraction between them start to be intense and it's making them question if they want to finish the job.

Even though I like it you really have spend your disbelief at some situation because your going to be saying really a lot.

3.5 stars This was an interesting read. I think this storyline requires a strong ability to suspend disbelief. If you can do that you'll be able to enjoy this book. It is fiction, after all. It's basically a cat and mouse game while falling in love. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I was given this ARC by NetGalley and the publisher for an honest opinion. Many Thanks!
Kit Hanson is an international jewel thief. She travels to casinos all over the world to find a lonely unsuspecting female, seduces them and steals their jewelry without ever getting caught.
Savannah Brown is an FBI agent determined to catch this thief and with the help of her team sets up stings in order to take this unknown suspect down.
Savannah begins to suspect Kit and begins to follow her to different casinos undercover while playing the part to see if she’ll take the bait. Savannah can’t help though having a deep attraction towards Kit even though deep in her heart she knows she’s involved. Kit is also having these same feelings for Savannah which keeps her from finishing the job.
The problem I had with this book was it was just not believable. I don’t want to give away spoilers but towards the end I was like really?? I mean Kit is an unconscionable thief that takes victim after victim to bed and steals from them and her and an FBI agent are going to live happily ever after? Plus there were some subplots that made no sense.
