I really loved the premise of this book. I'm a sucker for royal romances, especially when one of the parties isn't a royal (obviously). I liked the characters in this book as well. Gabriella is lovey (but not without some flaws) and Cesar is hot, brooding and sexy. Their romance unfolds in a lovely way with lots of lavish trips, but also some down-to-earth moments.

Where the book fell down for me was that I couldn't understand either character's reason for resisting the chemistry that was so obvious between them. They had agreed on a marriage of convenience, but early on in the book, they have quite strong feelings for each other. They resist these feelings for...reasons. I realise that for the purpose of the story they are supposed to resist the feelings, but I wish that the author had given them more compelling reasons that "I just don't want to be in love". Especially Gabriella had no reason not to give into her feelings for Cesar.

Imagine if one day you woke up to find yourself a princess, that’s what happened to Gabriella, turns out she’s the daughter of a king!

Thing is royal life isn’t quite the fairytale that she imagined and her world has changed so much from being the owner of a bookstore in Canada to an heir to the throne with a new family she didn’t know she had

Cesar is more the traditional prince whose family decides that he should marry Gabi for political reasons. Thing is Cesar doesn’t believe in love so this will be an entirely loveless practical marriage...

I will admit I struggled a bit with Gabi and Cesar as characters, their voices didn’t seem to fully match themselves as characters and everything is hidden behind a royal mask

Set around Christmas on an island that gets lots of snow it’s a really romantic setting and I think this is portrayed strongly and it is at these times, in more informal settings that Gabi and Cesar come alive for me as characters. After a tobogganing race they became more loveable in my eyes!

It also covered something that caught my attention, the level of intrusion, speculation and gossip in the press towards those in royal settings which I think is quite relevant at the moment

I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a royal romance with a bit of snow and festive spirit

When Gabi's aunt and uncle dies she finds out that her Mother had once been married to a King and suddenly she is thrust from small town book shop owner to Queen in Waiting. Prince Cesar is a prince from the neighbouring country and feels that a marriage between them would be beneficial to both their countries and sets out to charm her.

Upon their first meeting they discover a mutual spark but will this be enough for them to have a happy marriage? As they get to know each other better they realise that they are falling in love.

Can a convenient marriage turn into Love?

Their Christmas Royal Wedding is the third in the Crown by Christmas mini series. Written by Nina Milne, the book follows Gabriella, the unknown Canadian Book store owner who has been thrust into the limelight as the newly discovered Crown Princess of Casavalle. Prince Caesar of Augilarez has been ordered by his parents to woo and marry her to cement relations between their two respective countries. He does as he has been told, but regrets doing so as he realises he has fallen in love with her as she runs away from him when she realises what he has been up to! Will he find her in time so they can have their HEA?
I found this book rather formulaic and difficult to plough through. The plot seemed drawn out and it took seemingly ages for anything to happen. It my favourite novel by this author.

I received this book via Netgalley and Mills and Boon in exchange for a honest review. I am a #MillsAndBoonInsider #netgalley

The surprise unknown heir to the throne, usurping her new found siblings, a royal alliance, that leads to love and marriage.

With a happy ever after ending in this romantic story.

I found this enjoyable but very predictable. The recently discovered heiress to the throne and the handsome prince who is informed he has to marry her to save their countries from war. Nevertheless, it is a sweet romance and so easy to read if you need a little light entertainment.

This is my first book by Nina Milne, but it won't be my last!

Gabi has been thrust unexpectedly into the position of Crown Princess and is struggling with some of the circumstances that come with that position - the interest of the press, the formalities, the need to wear a mask to protect her feelings. Cesar is the third prince of the neighbouring country and is only too good at managing all those things, to the point where his own wishes and interests are heavily buried.

They feel a spark and agree to get to know each other to see if they can make a diplomatic marriage to help the alliance between their neighbouring countries, and find they like each other a lot more than they were hoping.

I liked that the downsides of being royal and the strain they put on Gabi were mentioned, and how Cesar can help her with those. Gabi meanwhile can help Cesar with getting in touch with his own wants and stop putting those aside for his position.
