A unique storyline.

Shay Miller watched paralysed as a woman jumped in front of a train as it came speeding into the subway station. She decides to find out who this person was and why she would want to end her life this way.

Little does she know when she attends the memorial for Amanda Evinger (the victim) that she’s about to step into a web of deceit, coupled with murder as no one is who they say they are and no situation should be seen at face value.

A fascinating and unique plot which introduces us to naïve Shay, easily seduced with kindness, and attention, by a sisterhood of conniving woman who will stop at nothing to get their way. Will she realise in time what their endgame is? Not if they can help it!

Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen certainly know how to keep their audience spellbound. Their novels are always fresh and utterly unique. May this trend continue as we await their next joint venture.

As normal these authors books pack a punch. They mess with your head and think you have the answers when actually you dont

A fabulous read. It gripped me from the very beginning. So many twists and turns- I didn’t know in which direction the book was go to take next. The kind of book I love. A non predictable one

You Are Not Alone is a thrilling and captivating read that will keep you hooked until the very end. The story follows Shay Miller, a young woman who feels invisible and alone in the world, until she meets glamorous and confident sisters Cassandra and Jane.

Hendricks and Pekkanen have crafted a well-paced and intricately plotted novel that explores the dark and twisted side of human nature. The characters are well-drawn and multi-dimensional, with secrets and motivations that keep the reader guessing. The writing is strong and evocative, with vivid descriptions that bring the story to life.

That being said, there were a few aspects of the book that didn't quite hit the mark for me. Firstly, the pacing was a bit slow in the beginning, which made it hard for me to fully engage with the story until about a third of the way through. Additionally, while the characters were interesting and well-developed, I found it hard to sympathize with Shay and her choices at times, which made it hard for me to fully invest in her story.

Overall, You Are Not Alone is a solid psychological thriller that will appeal to fans of the genre. While it may not be perfect, it is still a well-written and engaging read that will keep you guessing until the very end. If you're looking for a dark and twisty thriller to add to your reading list, then You Are Not Alone is definitely worth checking out.

3.5 stars, rounded up.

A gripping read and full of tension. An interesting premise and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to reading more from the authors.

This was a book with such an intriguing premise and despite a few flaws that took me out of the immersion, it was overall a good read. There were twists I had never seen coming and others that I had theorised throughout the book but it was a rollercoaster of a read and I really enjoyed it.

This is a good psychological thriller. The setting in NYC is good.
I felt the pacing was slightly off.
A good book for fans near to this genre

The two authors once again bring the twisty and dark in this new book, which explores a very twisted relationship between a young woman and her two friends. Riverting, entertaining, which keeps the pages turning. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended!

This book at times can be seen as far-fetched but tense. The surprises in the book were not.obvious as they can sometimes be. You are full of suspense throughout as you piece the story together. Dont want to say much more as I don't want to ruin it.

A concept that has been done to death and this book brought nothing new to the party. Predictable and shallow.

Thank you for the ARC of this book.
Great twists and turns and I would never have guessed the ending. All is not as it seems with this story and as you get deeper into things they get a little unbelievable and for that reason I would like to give 3./5 but can't so I am giving 4. Well written and I look forward to reading another book by these authors.

3.75 rounded down.

I’ve enjoyed the past books a lot, this one I thought was dragging in places and very predictable.
I still enjoyed it. I’m glad I listened to this on audio or I think I may have struggled picking the book up once put down in places where it dragged (if you know what I mean)

Loved the idea of this and the concept.

The other books though have been more inspiring a thriller due to its content not being done so many times. This has been written about before really, it’s not a unique thriller for me.

If you were not reading a lot of thrillers I can see this being a real good time.

I love the writing so a bump in the road won’t stop me reading more.

I would like to thank Macmillan Publishing and the Netgalley website for allowing me to read this book.

We all know someone like Shay Miller, we all want to find love but it eludes us. Shay wants to be happy but her work prevents her from doing so, she wants to find her way but her life totally isolates her.

As for the Moonroe sisters, we don't know anyone like them. They have an unbeatable circle of friends. They have everything they want in life. Shay wants their life and the Moonroe sisters want his.

A book read in one go, so much so that I hooked into the story, so engaging, captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters.

Somehow I keep picking up books by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen: their covers are thriller-y but not overly so; their plots sound intriguing; and, although I eventually hate their plots/characters/pacing/writing, they're a good time to waste the day away. These books are like a literary McDonalds cheeseburger: they sound like a good idea and, whilst you're eating it you're having fun, but an hour later when you're bloated and constipated and rolling around on the floor? You realise what a mistake you have made.

My first book by this author duo who I have heard such good things about and I can see why!

I really enjoyed the twists and turns this book took and at times I was genuinely afraid, such was the atmospheric nature of this writing. I will now read anything this duo puts out and have their backlist now to read.

This book includes a great cast of characters and I loved how we move between points of view and back and forth between the present and the past to get the full picture of what has happened.

Would highly recommend.

Good read, flew through the pages and kept me guessing, kept thinking I’d figured it out and then there would be another plot twist - would recommend!

Thank you to Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book I have read by these authors, and although I thought it was very well-written this book wasn't for me.

I found the characters rather odd, and I found it difficult to connect to them. The storyline was okay, but I have read better-this for me was unrealistic in too many ways.

I really enjoyed this one it was fast paced and full of twists and turns . It’s a perfect example of how people can be easily manipulated to feel included. I did find a few parts of the story far fetched but still enjoyable on the whole.

I liked the first book this duo wrote but each one has got more flat. I think it’s ok. 3/5. I struggled to finish it as there were too many really unlikely parts.
