I love Italy, I love Rome - that’s probably why I persevered with finishing this book. It was slow in places and I didn’t 100% connect with the characters. I will try another book by this author though.

Thank you to Netgalley the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Only You by Kate Eberlen has Alf and Letty who meet in Rome on a language course.  They both have a background in dance - Letty in ballet and Alf in ballroom.  Whilst they both connect, they both have pasts.

We are taken between the present and the past to see how history has an impact on their current actions, and why they are both in Rome for a language course.

This is a romance with some odd connections, and situations that are hard.  I enjoyed the reveal, piece by piece of the past and what the implications were.

This is a well written book, covering some tough subjects, so here's a trigger warning for rape.

Only You  was published on 30th April 2020, and is available from  Amazon ,  Waterstones  and  Bookshop.org .

You can follow Kate Eberlen on  Twitter ,  Instagram ,  Facebook  and her  website .

I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review, so my thanks to NetGalley and to  Pan Macmillan .

Such a beautiful book.

Alf and Letty meet in Rome in a language class. It's a slow story but the descriptions of the places visited are just breathtaking and add to the story.

There are twists and turns and shocks once you learn more about the characters but it's such a good book.
I heartily recommend.

This is a love story set in Italy with recurring influences of dance, Italian life and opera. Alf and Letty's developing relationship is romantic, steeped in Italian culture and magical. The reader learns about their recent past. Flaws and vulnerabilities are more evident in this part of the story, making the chances of happy ever after seem remote.

A vividly described Italian setting makes reading this a lovely escape. The conclusion is emotional and uplifting.

I received a copy of this book from Pan Macmillan via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Letty and Alf meet on a language course in Rome. The book is told from both of their points view, and split between present time and what happened previously to force them to Rome.

The start to grow closer, but Alf is keeping a secret that will lead to Letty finding out how she has already met someone in his life. Will he get a second chance?

I really enjoyed reading this story, it was so real. Love and loss, joy and sorrow, fear and redemption altogether in one great story. Loved the conclusion, feel good factor!

I know this is an advanced copy but I couldn’t read past all the spelling mistakes there is almost one in every paragraph- it stopped me from getting into the story at about 10% I gave up. Sorry

Liked some of the story, but the second, interweaving story was not for me really. Was a book I couldn’t wait to get through just for it to be over.

A pleasant read - one which passed the time and left me smiling. Not the most gripping of novels, but I will look out for more by this author.

After reading this authors previous book I was excited to read this one, whilst I still enjoyed it I preferred the first book.

An easy read chic lit, relatable characters and good storyline. Worth a read.

This book was so much more than I expected! At first, I thought it was going to be a regular, boy meets girl while travelling, romance. But as the story unfolded, there were twists and turns that I did not see coming.

Lettie and Alf had me hooked from the very first page, and as I learnt more about them, and why they ended up at the same place at the same time, I was rooting for them to find their happiness. Individually, they were very relatable and likeable, and as a couple, they were perfect.

Touching on some very relevant, serious and poignant themes, Lettie and Alf will tug at your heartstrings. This is a unique and emotional story, that had me grabbing for the Kleenex.

I loved it! Highly recommended!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC, which was supplied in exchange for an honest review.

A beautifully written book, characters are all strong and the plot had many twists and turns to keep the reader enthralled.
Letting and Alf are the two main characters and they are very relatable. Set in Rome, the locations were described beautifully and the back stories added to the book..
I loved it and will be looking to read more by Kate

An enjoyable read by Kate Eberlen, Only You is a story of two people who meet, fall in love and then live happily ever after? Letty and Alf meet in Italy and spend time together while taking Italian lessons. The scenery was wonderful and the story easy to read.
