Read this book in one day, granted it is all I did that day. I could not put this book down, what a heart wrenching story from the very beginning to the end. It really puts ones priorities in order and makes you think about your life and the actions you have made and how they affect others in your life. I absolutely loved this book.

I’d like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘A Million Dreams’ by Dani Atkins in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Beth’s husband Tim dies from an incurable cancer but not before he’s had his sperm collected and frozen for use in the future. Eight years later, Beth decides to contact the fertility centre for one final try to become pregnant, only to be told they made a terrible mistake eight years ago and gave her embryo to another couple who then went on to conceive a baby boy. Beth wants to be part of the boy’s life but is it fair to remove him from the only mum and dad he’s ever known and who’ve loved and protected him from birth?

‘A Million Dreams’ is a beautiful story that was so emotional it gave me a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. Dani Atkins has written a poignant and emotionally-charged novel that I understand has been inspired by a true story, and she’s handled the subjects of fertility and cancer with sensitivity and compassion. I loved the characters and became so involved in their lives that I had to keep reading long into the night. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel which for me had a perfect ending and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
