I received an advance copy of, That One Patient, by Ellen de Visser. I love this book, even though their is death in the book, it is very heartwarming. Its nice to see doctors humanized. A very nice book for anybody.

The essays collected in this volume give more of an insight into what makes a Dr than many of the other medical autobiographies recently published. The accounts of these triumphs & tragedies are incredibly moving and give me more respect for GPs than ever. This is a brave book as none of the contributors are anonymous and their honesty is incredible
