A solid whodunnit following the mystery of three women, showing their points of view and police interviews. A little slow to start but very entertaining.

Thank you NetGalley and Cornerstone Digital (Random House UK) for a free galley in exchange for my honest review. Three Perfect Liars is a perfect little whodunit told from the perspective of three women recounting their stories to a police investigator after an office building goes up in flames and a body is pulled out. Think Big Little Lies plus The Whisper Network! But which one would want to seek revenge on Harry Wood the CEO? Janie, the wife? Laura, his former right-hand go-to gal before being replaced while on maternity leave? or Mia, Laura's usurper? Each have plenty of reason to be angry with Harry and even more secrets of their own that they don't want unveiled, but does that make any one of them a criminal? Three Perfect Liars is a dark and thought-provoking book suited for a quick weekend read.

The modern office building at Lymington Quay had caused quite a stir when it was built. Now it is in flames. Three women watch from their different viewpoints. Janine is the wife of the owner. Mia is a rising star in the company. Laura is newly returned from maternity to find her temporary replacement (Mia) is now flying high. The police are suspicious that the fire was not an accident.

Told through police interviews & from the perspective of each of the women, the reader is led through a web of lies.

I found the character all pretty dislikeable, but I found the method of storytelling gripping. Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.

A great story that keeps you engrossed in the plot. It made me think of all the times when I assumed that I was the reason for someone's actions when it wasn't the case at all. Relatable characters although not all are likeable. A good summer read.

Another brilliant story by Heidi Parks..I couldn't put it down and read it in a day. Lots of undercurrents and a twisted thread running through. Great characters and always a lot going on. A really appropriate conclusion.

What can I say but Heidi Perks has done it again. THREE PERFECT LIARS is yet another barn-storming psychological thriller. Set in the picture-perfect town of Lymington, on the surface, the novel appears to be twisted game of office politics but, oh, it is so much darker than that.

Ever the queen of psychological suspense, Perks has weaved a fascinating and gripping tale of female friendship, deception, loyalty and justice. The tension builds masterfully through the novel as the timeline counts down to the horrendous fire that opens the novel, interspersing "present-day" transcripts of police interviews after the fire with dramatic scenes as the characters and the readers piece together the events that led up to the tragic inferno.

What makes Perks' novel so unputdownable is that they are written about emotions and feelings that readers are able to relate to, putting themselves in the same position as the characters and asking, What would I do? THREE PERFECT LIARS is another one of these, discussing issues such as harassment in the workplace, and the shame that some mums are made to feel once they return to work, but with a creative and tension-filled story arc that will have you turning every page.

5 stars, Heidi!

Thanks to the publisher and author who sent me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

😊 Heidi Perks writes a highly addictive, incredibly good psychological thriller. Three Perfect Liars is a mystery based in the workplace of three ambitious women, Laura Denning, Mia Anderson and Janie Wood. They work for a Lymington-based advertising agency - Morris & Wood - but the company's plush offices have burnt down. Who is responsible, and why?

Having read a previous novel by Heidi Perks, Come Back For Me, I couldn't wait to get started on this one, Three Perfect Liars, told through interviews led by DC Emily Marlow, and interspersed with details of the weeks leading up to the fire. With its fast pacing, there was never a dull moment and this was a taut, original, and captivating read.

The characters were adeptly drawn and brilliant in their roles, whether intended to be inherently good or bad. The clarity of Heidi Perks' writing made it an easy story-line to follow, and the author's writing is of a variety that any thriller fan can appreciate - top-notch. She was able to create a wonderful tone of unease that continued until the very last page. I loved the way the finer points of the story were sporadically fed to the reader as the story built to its satisfying conclusion. The added bonuses of the menacing moments and buckets of tension helped to make the story a masterpiece.

Three Perfect Liars is an addictive, clever, devious tale that highlights the complex relationships that often exist within an organisation where revenge is occasionally without boundaries. My thanks must go to Heidi Perks for writing such an awesome book! 😊

I received a complimentary digital copy of this novel at my request from Random House UK, Cornerstone/ Century via NetGalley and this review is my unbiased opinion.

A really good mystery!

In short, its a story about 3 very different women, all with something to hide, and a building burned down to the ground.

The choices we make in life is an important theme in the book. How will they impact our lives and what will the consequences be? These choices do not only impact us but also the people around us.

"Revenge and anger had blinded her, and now she might very well lose the two most important people in her life."

There's a really good twist at the end that I didn't see coming. The end was maybe a bit drawn out but overall it was a very good read.

This is a very clever, psychological thriller. The use of police interviews followed by flashback chapters kept the story flowing well and the fact that we weren't told who, if anyone, had died in the fire kept my attention. It is obvious from early on the the paths of at least 2 of the 3 women had crossed in the past but it is not until the last couple of chapters that the tightly woven plot begins to give us some answers. A great book with a very satisfactory ending.

I really enjoyed this book. I found it very difficult to put down and finished it in two sittings. I just had to find out what the conclusion would be. The three main characters are all believable and well written and by the time the story ended, I felt like I actually knew them. I definitely recommend this book and will be looking out for more by this author. Thank you #netgalley

I could not put this book down! I was completely gripped from the first chapter.

Three Perfect Liars follows three women. Laura has just returned to Morris & Wood from maternity leave, only to discover that her replacement Mia has been made permanent. Laura feels as though Mia is out to get her and resolves to find out what her intentions are. Meanwhile, Janie has given up a job she loved to support to husband Harry Wood's opening his business in a new location. When the Morris & Wood building is destroyed in a fire, secrets threaten to spill.

Janie, Mia and Laura are all relatable characters, and their stories never felt forced. I especially enjoyed reading from Laura's perspective, as I feel like I would definitely react as she had if I came back to work from maternity leave and felt like all the years of hard work I had done had been forgotten in such a short time.

The way the book was set out was great - having chapters alternating between being from the different women's perspectives and from police questioning over the fire kept me guessing.

I will say that I felt a bit underwhelmed by the ending, however the first 95% of the book was so enjoyable I won't hold it against it!

I would definitely recommend this if you like well-written thrillers that aren't too heavy.

Oh wow this was a very good book, it was so twisty and I couldn’t tell who had done what and why until the end. I read this very quickly because I just couldn’t put it down, every spare minute I was picking it up to read more. Some of the characters I couldn’t take too but, on the whole it was an exciting read.
My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It follows the lives of three women connected by a media business, which burns down in the opening pages. So how are they lying?
The plot starts some weeks before the fire,, leading up to the event. The ending was unexpected and even then there is another twist. I couldn't put this down.

I do like Heidi Perks writing style and this is sure to be another bestseller.
It moves along at a good pace and covers a lot of sensitive subjects with care.
I don’t like to spoil plot lines in my reviews. Therefore there’s no spoilers, but if you enjoy trying to guess who you think has “dunnit” you’ll find yourself changing your mind throughout as the story takes unexpected twists and turns.
Would have been a great beach read.for holidays, but I enjoyed it in the garden just as much as I would have on golden sands.

A good solid read that had me flitting back and forth changing my mind about who was guilty or if anyone. I grew quite emotionally attached to Mia, Laura and Janie and even more so by the end. A great story with plenty going on to keep reading.

This is an intriguing book with three different points of view and three voices which keeps you reading and your empathy shifts from character to character as the book progresses. It starts with a fire and the rest of the book switches from police interviews to events that happened leading up to the fire. I didn’t particularly care who was responsible as I didn’t really like the three main characters but the chopping of povs and timelines kept my interest.

Such a brilliantly written book, across a very small period of time! It keeps going back to after the fire and then before and I loved every single word of it!
The questions it gave me all the way along made me not want to put it down, and there lies the success of a top seller!
