Mum's Big Break by Loose Emma Clarke

Cute, Warm and funny story about the trials and struggles of a blogger/ mom/ mom to be and her friends as they navigate the ups and downs of life as a mama.

I rather enjoyed getting to know Jessica and her m squad of friends. It had its warm moments but also tossed in some real mom in crisis mode once as well. I found it to be a bit of a slow read and at times had to push thru to keep going at the slow hits but over all I rather enjoyed this story.

3/5 Stars

This book was thoroughly addictive. I’d recommend to fans of authors like Portia Mackintosh/Sophie Ranald. I’d happily pick up this for myself and friends. Great book

Mum's Big Break is a cheeky read. Jessica is a blogger who is pregnant writes letters to her unborn child about her experiences. She is striving to get on tv and had a shot. It's a fun read about a wo,am's relationship with her friends, family, and unborn child.

My daughter is a blogger and a young mother, so this book really interested me. It really gives you a good sense of what goes into the business of blogging, once you decide to make some money with it. The main character, Jess, was very likeable and I was really pulling for her to succeed!!

The follow up to Letters to my Daughter, equally as entertaining. Mum’s Big Break follows Jessica after she has won her blogging award and is now pregnant with her second child. This book follows her throughout her pregnancy and her blogging adventures with her friends. Really great read and thoroughly enjoyable.

As a blogger myself, I could relate to much of the stuff contained within. The emails from PRs, the expectations when on a press trip, the bickering and drama that can only come from a female dominated career. Like my own experience, Jess has a few bloggers she'd rather avoid and some really close friends.

I will admit that I did think the social media mishap would be something different to what it was - a non blogger would still probably have to Google to find out what it all means - I expected her to do something a little more - extreme, perhaps?

However I was really impressed with the book and will definitely check out the author's other work - especially knowing she is a blogger herself whose blog I actually love!

Such a funny and sarcastic book regarding child birth and becoming a mummy again. it's always great to see continued success and I am glad that Jessica knew she deserved the blogging accolades she was given. Very touching and real letters.
